Thank you for posting this, and Thank you Rory for being the soundtrack of my youth from the back seat of my dads car on holidays, to chasing chicks in my 40's with "Surfs Up" playing in my head. One of, if not the most heard artists on the planet yet just a humble Canadian dude.
Really enjoying hearing Rory`s stories. `Bad For Good` is my second favourite album of all time. The lead vocal on `Rock `n` Roll Dreams Come Through` is wonderful and I was amazed to hear that it was done in one take!
Great interview again Very disappointed to hear That Rory hasn't received anything for Total Eclipse and Rock n Roll dreams. Which he should have Ok the writer gets the main share but depending on radio tv station singer should be getting from a few cents to a few dollars. Also Rory mention he wrote part of Rock n Roll dreams Also very surprised Jim never acknowledged that on released writing credits Lets face it Jim has several co writes so why ignore Rory. Then he said he would do t all again Suggest getting a good lawyer and manager should it happen. Looking forward to the next instalment..
Part 2 was even better! What I wouldn’t give to hear Rory sing a steinman song just one more time… Also, “I think we can do another…. Well I think you can go F yourself” had me on the floor!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Fantastic stories. ❤️❤️🥹🥹
Yes they are similar. When I first heard `Total Eclipse..` I thought it was Jim Steinman singing with Bonnie Tyler but that`s because at the time I didn`t realise that Rory Dodd sang lead vocal on three of the songs on `Bad For Good`.
