Hi a decently resplendent lady ; it's said they were formed by AVEX, JPN. MV company in collaboration w/ a Kpop MV producer from S. Korea to counteract the numerous Kpop girl groups such as Blackpink, G-Idle, Twice, Aespa, Dreamcatcher, Everglow etc., since JPN doesn't have any dexterous artists to compete w/ them. (JPN is famous for Rock Groups such as Babymeral & Bandmaid who emulated from the US & UK rock music though & I must admit they are pretty good ). But most of people in Japan love K-pop music, which inevitably led the company to the formation of this girl group who must possess the talents not only in vocals, dancing in synchronicity, but also visuals!!, Yes, their aesthetics counts enormously to appeal to the global. All but 1 are Japanese ranging from 16 to 20 yo. That one at 3:00 is a mixed blood or product btw. Australian & Japanese, & her name is Harvey who is merely 16 yo. @@markokada7311 most people in Japan don't love kpop groups lol i must admit the younger generation who are outgoing party people probably love kpop but most of the japanese population love jpop/rock artists like yonezu, aimyon, aimer, higedan, king gnu and the list goes on. basically, solo artists and rock bands still rule the music scene in japan. if we're talking music sales in japan, male idol groups like those from Johnny's Entertainment also take the top spot.
"JPN doesn't have any dexterous artists to compete w/ them"? That's a very misleading way to put it. You could swap the term "artists" with "girl idol groups" since that's clearly what you meant. Japan has lots of artists & male idol groups selling and doing better than Kpop groups there and with potential to go global. "Girl idol groups" is what they are lacking, although they have 46/48 groups who can sell well but they aren't made to go global. Get your shit right.
@@markokada7311 also are you using "kpop reactors" as a judge of popularity??? please, reaction videos are only a thing in kpop and western artists. it's not a thing for jpop/rock. you can't use that as a measure of their popularity

Executive Producer Jakops (Junho Park) debuted as a singer in Korea and has been engaged in Kpop as a producer and composer for over 13 years. His father is Korean, his mother is Japanese, he is of Japanese nationality and was born in the United States. He came to Korea in 2009. He is fluent in English, Japanese and Korean. XG is a group that was born with all their might through a global project that they have been preparing for over 5 years. The group consists of Japanese members who practiced with the Kpop system in Korea and set global goals with English songs. The choreography of this song is good, it's addictive, it's stylish and it's good. It looks like a more evolved version of Kpop. Making a song in English is an important point. In that sense, XG group will be a sufficiently stimulating group for K-Pop.

The MV producer and choreographer are Korean and were shot in South Korea. The first video was uploaded in February 2022. Given that, they may have been in South Korea for preparation in 2021. I think Simon's four years mean either the four years from 2017 to 2021.
The MV dance performance uses YGX,
but YGX is a dance studio, so anyone can use.
