    Thank you for a great review. Super attractive bike! Intelligent, dare I say mature update! Really appreciate the time spent on comfort - a huge consideration when buying. The incredible tarmac-munching potential is limited to the bars and pegs. I'm sure the aftermarket will take care of that, just like that previous versions!

    Enjoyed that review, thanks. When I heard (about 3 1/2 years ago) that Suzuki was to stop importing the Hayabusa, I bought, new, one of the the last second generation bikes (in white of course) for £10,500. As much as I like the new one, I can't see that it'll be worth the extra £6k. However, when Euro 6 becomes an issue, maybe they'll be doing deals on Gen 3's :D

    Nice vid & review. I like the new 'Busa. Not sure where it fits in but it's a Hayabusa so it doesn't need to. On the comfort side of things, for once on a bike, it looks like being taller/bigger is better. Can't wait to see what this is really capable of once we you get a full system on it & an ECU reflash.

    Suzuki has made the Gen 3 Hayabusa unique because it is SAFE to ride FAST due to the electronic wizardry descended from professional racers. The rider geometry has to be forward and legs "cramped" like a race horse jockey to maintain control at the super high speeds it is designed for. Overall: Tour de force engineering and design. The dashboard TFT & RPM/Speedo clocks are simply brilliant.

    Personally think this exercise has been all about the electronics package where the big R&D money has gone. Makes sense to use the Busa as a test bed in preparation for next gen GSXR1000, SV650, Vstrom...

    • @axelfiraxa

      Considering your Cat is in the end cans which everyone replaces anyway it is safe to assume that 200HP are a couple of end cans away.
      But having said that, you are already doing 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and under 10 second quarter miles so how much gasyer do you need it to go?

    Thank you so much for covering the comfort aspect of the new busa. it's what I was waiting for...every review out there only talks about how quick it is and about all the electronics....
    Was waiting to buy this, but at 52 now, will have to give it a miss. Also as a sports tourer, there is no panniers that can clip on, like the H2. Suzuki should have changed the seating position to a more "comfortable" riding position, as most buyers at this price point are in the upper age group, at least in SA. You nailed it, it's more Supersport than Sports Tourer. Oh well, guess I will have to look at the BMW K range.....

  • @adammfharris
    @adammfharris 2 года назад

    We all love bikes, but most of y’all need to go ride more bikes before giving opinions. Suzuki knows exactly how to make a near perfect motorcycle at a decent price point for them and us. Suzuki is very smart too. They know people will want them to be faster, so I promise you they built it knowing it will have 300-400 hp boost levels on it. They know that exhaust is coming off almost immediately for 99 percent of everyone, I wouldn’t be surprised if they tuned it without those cats and it actually has 210 hp factory. The Busa is unlike any other bike because it is made knowing people want to beast mode the bike. The aftermarket for the Busa is unreal. Just try to get a turbo kit with an ecu flash in-line for your H2….. or anything else. I loved my zx-14, but the Busa aftermarket and following is unreal….
    And Suzuki knows it. They built the heck out of them.

      @landedzentry 3 года назад +2

      Yeah. 1975+.
      Riding a bike using the on board computer, the Electronic Control Unit , is okay just so long as you know you are not doing it all and don't jump on an old bike and think you have the skills.
      New bikes have computer-camera -cruise control that distances cars ahead too as well as Lean Angle TC, anti-wheelie and ABS. I think no engine braking (computer) is to provide a smoother ride and more mpg.
      Its just a matter of time when we will set the motorcycle throttle and the computer will do the rest - all we will have to do is hold on and put a knee down to look fast.
      ...a passenger can land an Airbus using "auto land" with minimal input. Did they land the plane? No.
      I got a 2005 Gixxer - it's very engaging ! You Have to know what the tires are doing.

      The bikes you mentioned are crap in handling and braking
      The Hayabusa (any generation you like) is a complete dream to ride. The Gen I was great, the Gen II just fabulous and I am sure the Gen III is as good or better.
      Compared to the older crappy handling bikes you prefer to ride are just a death wish and are so uncomfortable ( I had lots of the old stuff so I know)
      Anyone that knocks the newer style bikes have never owned or used one these for a time. Most (if not all) critics have never ridden them and probably couldn’t ride to save themselves
      Go Suzuki great job! 👍

    This bike may be stylich, technological, carrying some genetics and even fast.
    But it is far from claiming the throne. Hayabusa is not a fast bike only, it is
    the fastest. As a proud owner of a modified gen2, I would gladly crash down this
    pretty toy. So, what I expect from Suzuki is to announce an X or R version later.
    Its publicity may take place in Asia or in the US, to be able to show the real
    potential of the new king, aside from the so-called gentlegirl-agreement. The European version may work in the F mode only, which is harmless unless there's a way to switch to A mode. Until then the legend will stay as a legend and real fanatics of Hayabusa won't be satisfied.

      @@Texarmageddon that's odd because Bennetts has already said it's the fastest bike they've ever tested. Depends on your body type, it's one of the most comfortable bikes for adult size riders. Go ride one and maybe you'll feel different. IMO it's still one of the best bang-4-buck bikes that does everything well. Modified and sky is the limit for whatever the owner wants. Based on sales, I guess we'll see if it's irrelevant or needed to be a straight touring bike. Depending on your country, it's still a bargain compared to what most want to compare it to.

    So over weight and less horsepower no longer a contender most 1000cc motorcycles will trash it. Should be less than 200kgs and above 200hp. 220 to 240. I am going back to my old one and spend 20k on it to get make it ultra fast. Not even nice looking and traction control how ugly on a bike.

    as ugly as ever...why waste so much time building a 1300cc bike with only 187hp which any 1000cc can easily achieve making it so ugly n uncomfortable

      For a bike like the hayabusa, the way it delivers power across the range is much more important than the peak horsepower figure. I think the Suzuki designers did a great job of giving it a more modern edge, while ensuring it won’t be mistaken for anything but a hayabusa, although I can certainly see how the design remains polarizing.
