I loved this movie, In Australia they used a full bodyshot of Nicole as the video cover, I loved the mask and the dual SMGs, she was my Lara Croft, she's my game avatar template in any character creation to this day.
@Brandon Tenhold-- first thing; Awesome channel, reminds me of my wasted childhood. Next thing: Those guns were the most awe-inspiring firearms in B-Movie history!
I think one of Nicole's main reasons to leave Baywatch was to not be compared to Pamela Anderson but that same year Anderson came out with Barb Wire (her own superhero flick) and stole everybody's thunder. What a year for a 13yo though!
Trivia: The 'Marlin Man' movie the prison dudes are watching is actually test footage from what would have been the third movie in the giant monster series that began with Zarkorr and Kraa. They simply stuck it in this film to get use out of it.
The first thing you need when you're going into battle with heavily armed criminals: Some good mouth-armor. (Second is a super-form-fitting leather bra, and third is a badass gun that never needs reloading.)
This film seems in an odd way ahead of it's time, it looks like it was inspired by a games that were released way later like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry. If someone wanted to make a videogame adaptation of it I'd look forward to it, the nanotech stuff and the badass weapons seem like they'd be pretty fun.
YEAH! AND I saw a demon on the thumbnail.....and then Tom Savini.....but that chick was pretty hot and I forgot about being tricked BUT THEN I seen a demon @ 10:53 its a good one.....Tom Savini probably made it. More demons this movie needs.
Wow, I use to be in love with Nicole Eggert. She was so hot. Heather Langenkamp was a girl I had a thing for since "A Nightmare on Elm Street". This movie review brings me back to when I was young.
Lady Battle Cop as a future Brandon's Cult Movie Review, I'm down with that. And you're right, the casting feels like they just went to a Horror Convention, and went up and down pointing to everyone they wanted. 😉 Anyways, did enjoy this. Thank you, Brandon.

Hey Brandon, I greatly enjoyed your review of the Demolitionist, by the way I’m listed in the Credits as the 1st Assistant Camera 🎥 man. We shot mainly in Downtown Los Angeles, & San Pedro, The Jail scenes at the old Lincoln county Heights Jail. Nichole was a great lady to work with, & of course Bob, the director was Great too, I also worked on his WISHMASTER.
Of all the fake things in this movie (i.e. at least 25% of Nicole Eggert) The 4 barreled pistol is a real thing. It was a Derringer in .357 often used by law enforcement as a backup gun.
Yeah, I almost missed it while I was scrolling through, mostly because it didn't stand out on my subscribe list like it normally does. Luckily, I looked closer at the name.
Nicole Eggert is really hot in leather - even more than in a red lifeguard one-piece! If this was marketed as a television pilot, it would have kicked off an interesting series!
All the name dropping of other movies in this review and I look up A Gnome named Gnorm. Sure I have poor impulse control but Brandon's title drop is just evil, he knew what he did.
Ngl, I kinda dig the nightmare thing. I haven't seen that before in movies where the character is brought back, and all they dream about is Hell. Kinda makes you wonder what someone who was resurrected like that would dream about, since they probably saw a glimpse of some sort of afterlife.
Kurtzman was the K of KNB Effects, which consisted of him, Greg Nicotero and Howard Berger. The fact that Tom Savini is in this is because he is friends with Kurtzman
For not being a real actor, more like an enthusiast amateur, Richard Grieco is sure is a lot of movies. You should review Almighty Thor someday. I swear he comes back to life after being killed like 5 times in that and probably did it against the director's wishes. :D
For a glamour girl, Nicole Eggert is maybe the only female superhero actress that came across as a truly tough woman until Gina Carano appeared on the scene.
I'm personally waiting for him to do this bit and at the end of the second clip at the end of the review, he just goes "FUCK IT, WE HAVE OUR NEXT EPISODE!" and that's how things end off.
Yes, the pink powder blood effect really grew on me. Maybe since the director is a special effects guy and he's probably done a million blood effects, he said "this time let's do something that *represents blood instead of being literal." Also it works with the comic-book effect.
Tkdbar have to disagree I do see Brandon recycle old jokes sometime but I enjoy the way he riffs and mirrors his channel like MST3K the way he riffs. His love for old horror and 80s material is nostalgic for me too. Besides Cinemassacre a cross over maybe with deker shadow would be fun too I think.
The mid 90s to the late 2000s were quite the dark time for comics. If I were to compare this to a real-life era, this would be equivalent to the Golden Age of America (Post WW2)

She didn’t seem to have much of a disguise. They didn’t cover the most recognizable part of her face. Also compare the final shootout with the warehouse scene in Robocop. It’s just not the same without the great music.

Weird plot motivation for the villain. Killing 3 cops would get the death penalty in any state that had it, whether guns were legal or not.

I was half expecting the Demonitionist to be Cynthia Rothrock. Although it would be difficult to do martial arts in that suit.
not really. suit actors in Kamen Rider and Super Sentai have way more components to their armor and they do some pretty insane moves
