@Jennifer McGuire Ink: I'm writing this because I want to make sure you know how good you are. Many other commenters let you know how beautiful and creative your cards are & I totally agree. What others neglect to mention is the overall quality of your videos & instruction, supported by your blog. The reason I want to address those qualities is I want to make sure you know they are noticed and appreciated in case you're tempted to neglect some of them if you get busy or stressed. First, your photography and lighting are outstanding so we can always see what you are trying to illustrate. You don't make the common mistake of pulling something closer to the camera so you can see it but take it away before we can. I truly appreciate the fact that your blog shows pictures of each of the cards so we don't need to rewatch the whole video as we look for inspiration or a technique. Second, your instruction is impeccable. For example, you repeated "cooled glaze" multiple times instead of expecting us to remember each detail of the instruction after hearing it only once. Repetition makes it easy to remember and apply. Most other card making/stamping video instructors either don't know or don't bother with this. You also are willing to show how techniques don't turn out the way you want & how to correct them. For example, when the background stamp missed a spot and you reheated the glaze. Another example is when you felt the gold gilter was too pronounced so added more embossing glaze. Third is your editing. You are so good at taking the time to determine what we need to know per video, editing out portions we don't need for this technique (e.g., in this video, cutting each die), speeding up portions that can be (blending), etc. You really are unique in the level of dedication you apply to showing us what we need to know to be successful in the minimum amount of time. That shows real respect for us, your viewers, who have many demands on our time. Many other RUclipsrs have creative ideas but they're no where near your level of quality of instruction, photography, and editing. Thank you for taking the time to inspire us with your creativity and artistic vision. I hope this comment finds you & your family well.
Yvonne, thank you tremendously for this comment. You have no idea the impact your words have had on me today. I appreciate the encouragement because I doubt my work often. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would love to send you a card. If you go to my website and under "features" find "contact me"... send your address. i would be honored to send you a card and little gift. Thank you again.
I absolutely second everything mentioned above and I’d like to add some additional observations: I love that you keep the work area clean, It’s a little thing but it really helps focus on what’s going on to not have the distraction of I little pieces of trash, misc dies, paper etc. I notice how you often scoot things out of the frame view so I know it’s an effort you specifically take to keep what’s within the frame tidy and I appreciate it. When you create a video on something more complicated like an interactive card I can tell you work out the easiest possible instructions and especially the easiest possible measurements and I really appreciate that. You truly make an effort to make things accessible for people to want to try and not just dismiss as being too complicated. I love how much you think about repurposing products. I’ve no doubt that you have an extensive stash of stamps and dies but often instead of going and getting another die you show how to repurpose what you are currently using to make another element for your card, stretching the products. It really makes me look at my products differently for opportunities. Your voiceovers are fantastic, aside from the fact that your voice is very calming, you always speak very clearly, never too fast or slow, no umms and ahhs, no mumbling, no moving to and away from the mic, just beautifully clear and concise. Thank you for all the effort you put into your work - it is seen and appreciated.
Yvonne, this is a wonderful and encouraging comment. I’m so glad you took the time to express your appreciation. Your comment was also uplifting for me to read. Thank you.
@Jennifer McGuire Ink , I agree with Yvonne. You're videos are the best! You're voice is sweet, you are straight to the point, and quick. Thank you so much.
Wow! These are amazing. I forget about the embossing glaze, because I have it in a drawer, so I’ll be breaking those out so I can try these techniques. I love that you always showcase new products, and would love to see you do a video where you use some of your older products as well as the new ones to create similar looks. Thank you for always inspiring me.❤️
OH my goodness...these cards are truly stunning...shoot I own 9 colors of the glaze and forget about them...soooo glad you showed me these great designs so that I will remember to use them...saved this video in my inspiration folder...what would this industry be without you????
After viewing tons of stampers, I have come to seriously appreciate the effort you put into production with the excellent lighting and CLEAR audio! Thanks bunches from a fan.
This tutorial about the glazes is better and more informative than the ones of Tim Holtz. I've recently received my first 3 glazes to try, red/yellow/blue, and practiced a little. They are so beautiful, and now you've shown some more creative options. I am amazed by the many-layered little tile, which gave a lot of new ideas. Great video, thank you Jennifer!
Jennifer you come up with such great techniques that make the cards so beautiful, happy colors and elegant. When you finished making the inprint on the green tile I'm sure Tim Holtz would say "SHUT THE DOOR" of so good the tile looks😆 🤣 . Thank you for the inspiration.
Wow, wowza & whoa (not whoa like as in stop - whoa as in how cool is that!?)! These are such awesome ideas! Seriously inspiring. LOVE! Thank you very much!
I so agree with Yvonne Tomenga! The quality of your videos and the new ideas that you are always coming up with is amazing. But really the consistency of top quality year after year is unmatched !
I don’t have any glaze but used what I have and tried the technique using multiple layers of ultra thick embossing powder and a layer of translucent powder and a rubber stamp. I love how it turned out. Now I’ll have buy some embossing glaze to try it.
Great ideas Jennifer!! Something different. Haven’t really thought of trying these, just thought they were embossing powders!! I’ll have to give them a try.
Wow Jennifer, I did not know about embossing glaze. I love this technique. I love how you are always bringing and showing us new techniques, what can be done with them, and the beautiful projects that you create. You are totally an amazing teacher and love everything you show. ❤️❤️❤️
Wow wow wow! What an amazing video. You showed us so many wonderful ideas and tips when using the embossing glaze. This is an awesome product!!! Your cards are beautiful. The coloured tile was definitely a winner. Colouring acetate is such a unique way to add colour. These glazes will provide extensive ideas for cards. Well done 👍
I’m so happy they finally came out with more embossing glazes, I hope they continue to release the remaining colors. I think these are greatly underappreciated, you hardly see any videos using them but they are beautiful. The way you can layer the glazes and the way you can layer the glazes with the matching distress inks is beautiful. Thank you for featuring them!
I just got my new Distress glaze colors in the mail yesterday! The 5 “wow” techniques shown here are way beyond wow!! I have so many ideas circling in my brain such as using die cuts layered up and adding glaze to make them look enameled then adding an earring backing to make unique and fun jewelry!! I just love videos like this because it always gets my brain ticking!! As always, Jennifer, I am so grateful to have these superb instruction/inspiration videos to watch and learn from. I wish there was a way I could thank you even by sending YOU a thank you card (I’m sure it wouldn’t match your level but would be from my heart!). Anyway, please know I’m truly grateful!! TYFS ❤️🦋💜
I have some translucent powders that I didn’t know what to do with them. And now I want some of these awesome colors! Thank you for the time and effort you put in all your videos. As always, beautiful cards! You truly are the queen of cards.
Again, thank you Jennifer, for inspiration and, in this case explanation. Those of us not in the US not only cannot get (not for reasonable prices anyway) many of the fantastic US crafting products but even if we can, information on these is sometimes scarce - so thank you for supplying this! All the best to you, Nicola
You continue to come up with such great ideas, that totally amaze me. You are very talented, and I'm so glad you take the time to show us all the various ways we can use products. Thank you for sharing these great cards and ideas.
These cards are so amazing Jennifer, all of the powders look great and I'm a newbie. Watching you is so much fun, I have started collecting the Oxide Ink Pads and reinker colors. Looks like I have a lot to learn. Great video Thank you for the inspiration.
My favorite today is the colored acetate shaker card. I love the fact that the pattern is the same on the whole front of the card, but it looks unique under that colored acetate! Thank you so much.
Oh My GOODNESS!!! I must first admit that when I first saw the title of this one I thought you were using the 'waterproofing' Distress Glaze, but as I automatically save & watch all of your videos, I'm so glad I watched this sooner rather then later. All of these techniques are awesome ideas, & now I want more glazes so I can do so many more things with them! I've been watching your videos for years, including any older ones I stumble across, & I'm so glad Yvonne mentioned how awesome you are overall with everything you do behind the scenes.. & comparing old to new I can honestly say you've only gotten better over the years. I learn more about some products watching you than I do from watching the 'creators'... & I really like Tim but 35 minutes is a lot easier to handle then some of his more recent 2+ hour long videos - especially when I really should be sleeping 😉. Thanks so much for all you do, & all of the additional work behind the scenes of what we eventually see.. we all appreciate it very much. 🤗💖🤗
Wonderful technique video with the glazes! Learned some new techniques that I can’t wait to try. Embossing glazes are always on my desk and I try to find a use for them whenever I can. Thanks for another great video!
From the first introduction of TH Embossing Glaze I have wondered if I should bother with it. I thought that translucent EP is nothing new and I can dye clear EP pretty easily. TH actually used to teach this technique. I think this is the video that has finally convinced me to try it. I will buy a jar in my favorite Distress color, Candied Apple. A big part of the reason I shied away from Embossing Glaze is because I discovered the joys of resin and epoxy clay. I had loved molding UTEE back in the days when Suze Weinberg was the reigning queen of EP techniques. What I particularly loved about this video and most of JM’s videos is that she always manages to fire up my imagination. From this video I’m going to use the technique of heat embossing transparent EP on acetate. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
When pushing the background stamp into the heated embossing glaze could you use the Debbie tool for adding pressure? I love all of the cards and the techniques are amazing!
Ranger should come out with little plastic shakers for embossing powder. Like salt shakers, but plastic and much smaller scale for controlled distribution.

Lovely. And I totally agree with Yvonne's comment below. You are sooo awesome.

I am stunned at what you come up with. Love all and thank you so very much.
That glaze is amazing.
After viewing tons of stampers, I have come to seriously appreciate the effort you put into production with the excellent lighting and CLEAR audio! Thanks bunches from a fan.
Now I need to buy some Glaze!! Love all the techniques!
That masking technique is so clever. Beautiful results.

Love the Shamrock stenciled with the printed background! Stunning! 🍀
Wow these cards are gorgeous. I will have to give this a try.
This really pretty! I love the colors. 😊
As you can tell I love these colors too!
What a super technique to create tiles! I guess I will be getting at least one glaze. Also vellum leaves on top add more texture. A must do!
I just got my new Distress glaze colors in the mail yesterday! The 5 “wow” techniques shown here are way beyond wow!! These cards are so amazing Jennifer, all of the powders look great and I'm a newbie. Watching you is so much fun, I have started collecting the Oxide Ink Pads and reinker colors. Looks like I have a lot to learn. Great video Thank you for the inspiration.
You are so welcome!
How very pretty! I had resisted getting any of the glaze until today. I love how it looks just on white paper!
Glazes are one of those products that don't look like much in the jar. Or we think it's just like other powders. Until you see it in action!
My favorite today is the colored acetate shaker card. I love the fact that the pattern is the same on the whole front of the card, but it looks unique under that colored acetate! Thank you so much.
Wow the green one looks just like a piece of tile.
Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you, Jennifer, for showing me what to do with those glazes!!! Wow!!! xxx

🙋♀️🇩🇪

When pushing the background stamp into the heated embossing glaze could you use the Debbie tool for adding pressure? I love all of the cards and the techniques are amazing!
Yes you can!
Very cool card's

These are so gorgeous! ❤️ Love the techniques. Thank you for ideas!
Beautiful 🤩
You are the best!
So awesome & inspiring! I was hoping you would review mediums such as this one. Wish came true for me!
Ranger should come out with little plastic shakers for embossing powder. Like salt shakers, but plastic and much smaller scale for controlled distribution.
I bet you could do that with old glitter containers that have the tiny holes in the top.
I already use my salt shakers
@@fayecoleman9384 • Do you think you could use a tea strainer? I would save it just for crafting.
Why? How does this effect your use of EP?
Such beautiful ideas!! I’m obsessed with the tinted acetate ❤️❤️❤️❤️you are so amazingly creative!!
Thanks for another great tutorial! I love the embossing glazes but I’m not sure how to use them. Now I have a starting point….
