    Great video...
    On my T400 there is a plastic extrusion in the tank about 20mm which you have to press the hose around to free the pump. Took a while to figure out. After I got the pump out I reconnected the power and tested it before cutting the wire - and lo and behold - it worked. Putting it back I angled the pump into place and then pressed the hose back on.
    Gave everything a clean and reassemble only to find the opener had now jammed. Took that lid in the cassette off and cleaned it on top and underneath and it freed up. A quick spray with lanoline, clean again and the a spray with silicone and all good again.
    It seems draining, flushing and cleaning could have avoided all this work, but who knew?
    I wouldn't do this work for someone else, even with PPE, so I imagine a caravan repairer would charge about 3 hours labour + parts or just install a new toilet.

    I'm not sure what compelled you to take the time and energy to make this video but please know that there's an old guy in Colorado who thinks that you're an angel sent from heaven. I was getting ready to tear out the entire toilet and then I watched your video and everything was exactly as you described it (i.e., seized pump, lots of mold). I'll be ordering a new pump this evening and sending good thoughts of gratitude your way. Best regards - Jim.

    Crisis averted! We are about to stay in a farmers field with rudimentary facilities (music festival) accompanied by ageing guests and I discover the flush has stopped working. Not enough time to get a professional to fix so turned to RUclips in the hope of finding a DIY video. Your video is pure gold, comprehensive and easy to follow. New pump sourced and within minutes the flush is as good as new. You are an absolute star! Many thanks.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    We arrived on site yesterday and found the loo pump wouldn,t work.
    Took of the control cover and found the wife a little job ......normally the other way round ! to lift out the pump with her small hands. Turned the impeller with a screwdriver and hey presto its working again only better flow than before.
    Thankyou for showing us what to do.

    Thank you so much for this video. My tC402 toilet was not flushing, blowing the fuse. I traced the fault to the pump, and after much cursing and swearing managed to extract it. With a bit of persuasion I was able to free up the impeller, tested it, gave everything a good clean, put it all back together, and hey, we have a flushing toilet again! I hadn't drained the flush tank while it was laid up for 9 months during COVID lockdowns, which probably caused the problem. Won't do that again. Couldn't have done it without your excellent video. Many thanks.

    That was a really handy video and very in depth which was a great help. Yes sitting idle for long periods during NZ lockdowns so plenty of mold to flush out and fortunately a screwdriver managed to turn the pump impeller and now all working again. Hardest part was trying to pull the pump up and out lots of scratches on the hands, that wasn't easy but knowing it could be done from the video gave me the confidence to keep going.

    My husband was getting quite frustrated but your video saved the entire toilet unit😂😂😂
    We had already replaced the blown fuse & still no pump.
    He followed your instructions and pulled out the pump and was able to unstick it, flush the whole unit out & now it’s working again perfectly.

      Hi Neil, not sure if you fixed your issue. The level indicator lights can be problematic on this model, sometimes the board needs to be replaced. As for the spring I recommend looking at this part diagram and trace back from there, hard to tell without seeing a picture or similar

    Ah, yes, the lovely Thetford cassette toilets. I'm still trying to solve the problem of making water flow uphill so that I can fill the reservoir. In any case, pumps send water from one place to another place. The pump in my trailer works (i.e., it turns). However, there's only one hose that can carry water. Where does that hose actually go? Where does the water that the pump pumps actually go? These are honest sincere questions. I'm trying to get the toilet in my trailer to actually work (i.e., pump water from the reservoir into the toilet bowl, rather than just turning). I probably should have just left the pump alone after replacing the fuse, but I may never learn to leave well enough alone. Any actual help appreciated.

    • @AutoBuddynz
      @AutoBuddynz  Год назад

      Sounds like you have not submerged the pump in the lower portion of the flush water tank. What happens over time the pipe to the outlet on the bowl can get hard which in turn can pull the pull out from the correct area where it should be located right at the bottom.
