- I review, breakdown and explain Dark Matter episode 3. I discuss the 2024 AppleTV+ show which is based on the novel by Blake Crouch. I react to the characters such as Jason played by Joel Edgerton, Leighton, Amanda and Daniella. I analyze the different realities, the introduction of the third reality which had The Corridor and explain what the meaning of the ending is. I also give my theories and predictions on episode 4.

I really hope you continue with your breakdowns! I always enjoy grabbing my phone right after watching the most recent episode of a show and watching your breakdown helping my slow brain to connect somethings or just little more context
Many people might be wondering how Jason figured out the passcode to the door. If you re-watch episode 1, you'll see that Jaye unlocked Jason's phone using the password, which is their father's birthday in reverse.
Haven't fallen in love with a show this fast since Severance. Before that, Westworld. This is looking to be the best of the three.

All Jason 2 needed to do was say he hit his head when he was lying about his near death experience that Jason 1 experienced. From there just say your memory is foggy, now you dont need to worry about slipping up. But I get it, we need compelling scenes here lol

*Daniella:* How could you forget? You must be from an alternate reality!
I was thinking why would it be weird if he said oh man I can't remember I mean she can't remember either haha
I actually think it's not that the reality they traveled to has a corridor, but the corridor IS the box in every universe and they can choose which one to enter.

Great breakdown. I'm loving it so far.Question though, does each universe a traveller goes through have another box in that universe??Cause Jason 1 didn't build the box that Jason 2 came out of in the other universe,so how does that work?

I just finished watching all three episodes. Honestly, I'm a little sick of why Jason didn't tell from the beginning the part where he was kidnapped by someone with a mask and got injected. Even though he already realized that he hypothesized what if the one who kidnapped him was another version of himself. why didn't he explain that when he was interviewed again after he was arrested? that's really annoying

The science makes sense but it's all based on theories lol
@@tweety11226 it definitely doesn’t, not theories in the scientific sense. Its based on guesses not even hypothesis. Bad guesses at that. A theory , in science, is a body of connected facts used to explain a phenomenon like the theory of gravity or evolution. The show is based on bodies of guesses on top of more guesses on top of things that are logically impossible.
What does the birth certificates mean

First two episodes were very good the third was beyond idiotic. It's almost like it was written by someone who hasn't been watching the show. The idiot finds out he got swapped, he had two choices either shut up about it, play along, find a way back or tell the truth to the people with access to the box. The writers get him to do both very half-assed.
3:20 of this episode : 'Did you .. did you chvwef that woman to danle se popf'. American actors really should get logopedic therapy.

Episode 3 of Dark Matter feedback. Why did they kill of Jennifer Connelly? And it was absurd the way Jason just got over it without any grief. Also why are they so irate and heavy handed about not having the correct Jason? It’s not some military funded classified mission. I mean the guy himself built the box. I just have to suspend disbelief with all the unnecessary angst at this point and think it would have rung truer to have gone down a different path or at least it could have demonstrated why it was so serious and why all the violence was necessary. I mean Elon Musk wouldn’t be treated in that way by his own company would he?

Because it is suspicious that 4 employees are now missing and it took Jason 1 year and 3 months to get back. How can they explain their Chief Scientific Officer missing and there is money involved. A billion dollars. How does this box actually work. That's why they were waiting on Jason to reveal its mysteries since he's the scientist who built it. The thing is the wrong Jason is in their world and in his original world, this box wasn't possible and only stayed as a small box. The scientist Jason is 10x much smarter and probably only focused on this career hence why he wasn't with Daniella. It makes sense to drill Jason. They think he has the same smartness in every universe or are there multiple universes? Leighton doesn't know but has a feeling
Cuz it's not the real character she's playing... it was the one from the reality that Jason and her split up when she got pregnant

Rick and Morty did it better and in less time.
