@@Volbeat1117look again. It was a normal green light, not a green arrow that would indicate a protected turn. That other driver was going straight on a green light. The cammer turned into him.

If they were fucking around on their phones, yes. Agreed. But this video has zero context. Other driver could very well have had a medical event. Been there. Spent over a month in the hospital as a result of having an event. My car crossed the lines into a minivan. I’m damn luck to be alive. Thankfully the other driver walked away and just needed 11 stitches.

I had a mini stroke while driving and was lucky enough to be able to drive off the road to a pretty flat spot where I could get the car stopped until my brain began to work again. A few minutes earlier I had been doing 70 on the freeway.
@johnt.848 if it's an event that isn't a regular medical thing, then yes. Just because someone had something happen once doesn't mean it's a constant thing and that they can't drive. Or are you unaware that medical conditions can be treated

Avoid engaging in brake checks as a response to road rage - it only worsens the situation.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of cammers who have plenty of time to react to a developing situation and instead wait for the last second to apply brakes and horn.

On top of that it wasn’t even a blind spot. You can clearly see the front passenger window from the camera view most of that clip. And once starting to pull out she had full visibility out the front window.

Yeah , the passenger got out, but luckily the train nearly missed them because that passenger wouldn’t have time to get out! Glad no one was physically hurt.

As soon as I saw the intersection for #7, I already knew where this was from.
4:44 this is exactly why you don’t follow to close in traffic is because of this situation right here. If the cammer would’ve been following closely in this situation he would’ve 100% crashed. He got super lucky that there were no cars to his right side so he could dodge into that lane. If y’all are following close on the highway during non rush hour traffic then I’d suggest backing off because this is super common and it’s a wreck every single time.
So many people blaming accidents and close calls on their "blind spot" when the truth is they're just not looking, there's no way an A pillar can obscure a whole car from view, your head is movable, you know.
No the truth is a lot of these cammers are driving wayyyyy too fast. A good third of the ones here you can clearly see the driver going 20/30+ mph faster than rest of the traffic.

I think this one is a bit extreme. Someone should track down that driver and prevent them from being able to step on an accelerator for at least 1 year.

Okay for Number 23 let me tell you guys what an unprotected Left is because it seems nobody knows how to do this properly. If you have a CIRLCE Green Left that means you have to yield to straight AND right turning traffic in the other direction. If you have an ARROW then you have a protected left and you don't have to yield. Your welcome. Also the cammer would have been at fault because if you pause at 6:01 then you can see the other direction was at yellow when that car entered the intersection.
It’s funny people think that a yellow means everyone has to stop for the left turning vehicle. The oncoming car has every right the go through a yellow.

Perfect timing.
Happened to me when I was going 60mph on highway. Guy ran a stop sign. Had no time to react and hit him full speed. Knocked me out. Last thing I remember was seeing car and knowing I would hit it. Right when I hit I put foot on brake. Broke pedal and my foot. Broke all ribs on left side, compression spinal fracture, lower spine fracture, knees went into dash - deep indentions, internal bleeding, seatbelt sliced through neck/hips, severe bruising all over, and cuts. Felt no pain and said I was fine. Said no to ambulance. 12 minutes later shock wore off. I was shaking in so much pain. Took ambulance to hospital. Our hospital is awful. Most nurses quit. So didn't have enough rooms. EMT spent 10 min telling them I was serious condition and need seen immediately. Placed in wheelchair in waiting room. Sit there 12 hours with no pain relief. Did MRI/ others while I stayed in waiting room. Finally got room. Was a closet with a chair. Was hurting so bad I wanted to lay down and still couldn't. Finally after 15 hours I got 1-5mg pain pill. Then waited hours for guy to bring back brace. Wasn't admitted and left with *no pain relief* even after begging them. Next day I was severely anemic from blood loss. My doctor/ others questioned why they didn't keep me in hospital. I cried everyday for weeks in so much pain. The *US no longer treats pain* and tells you to take tylenol. Took 6 months for ribs to heal with pain. Couldn't take deep breathes. Could barely move I was in so much pain. Impossible for adults to get pain relief but end stage children can't at all. Look up *American Pain and Disability Foundation (APDF) on Facebook/Website.* They go to appts with children and advocate to get them pain relief. No one will treat pain in children no matter how bad. Its heartbreaking. Suicides increased 250%. Intractable pain without treatment is a death sentence. *We have to fight this*

0:50 "Playing chicken" doesn't seem like a good idea. You may be in the right, but that doesn't help you if you are dead. While you are in the right in terms of traffic lawws, putting yourself and your significant other at risk isn't worth it.

Depends on the state. Not all states have forked up rules like that if you did not brake or speeding you are at fault. Many of them all that is needed is someone pulled out into traffic or ran a stop sign. Speeding or not, the person in the wrong is the one pulling out 100%. No games. No BS. No half faults. Someone screws up even if others are speeding, they eat it 100%.
@@KlodFather Virginia has contributory negligence which means it is easily applicable to the clip. You should not expect to arbitrarily break speed limits and not be liable. You'll also note I already said "depending on laws and circumstances".
"Contributory negligence could significantly impact your case in Virginia. The state’s severe negligence law means you could lose 100% of a compensatory award if the defendant can prove you contributed to the accident in any way, to any degree."
In fact it seems every state has some form of contributory or comparative negligence.

@@HarryTheOwlcat - Virginia has a lot of parasitic BS laws on the books that favor the state and not the general public. They are indeed a special case because they are one of the few places that has laws about radar detectors with the exception of Amateur radio which is federally protected. The shared liability concept is not generally accepted by all states. If someone is going 5 or 10 over and someone does something stupid to cause an accident, it does not negate their liability in causing that accident. Which leads me to another point, you NEVER have the speed recorded in your videos or you have the data recorded in layers so when you present your evidence, the camera video only shows what you want to show and not any admission of speeding. I am careful to not record the interior of my car nor to have the speed recorded in the footage. Only a fool would volunteer the evidence in which you would use to hang them. (the 5th amendment) The Virginia legal system is notoriously heavy handed and if you are advocating for it, then it says a lot about how you formed your opinions. Like the brown shirts say "Your Papers Please!"
@@KlodFather I never said anything about negating liability. It's rather obvious that speeding can contribute to the speeder being liable for damages. Your opinion on VA laws is largely irrelevant, pretty much every state has something similar in principle. Your dashcam will inevitably give away your speed if you can measure the time between two landmarks regardless of GPS overlays.
In principle you should not speed. It is literally illegal and disproportionately worsens accidents. It is only fair that speeding contributes to the speeder being partially liable and/or being ticketed.
@@HarryTheOwlcat - Everything is conditions dependent... However in good conditions, the only tickets that should be written are for 15 over and a contributing factor to an accident is more or less 20mph over. The 5 and 10 are irrelavent and there are states that have it codified in law that no tickets are to be written for 10 or less over the limit. If there is a conviction of such, it is a plea down from a court case on speeding or some other infraction. You seem to be much too worried about it. I don't care about speeding unless idiots are doing 90+ in regular traffic and being foolish. Its usually other bad habits that get them into trouble, not their speed. You sound more like someone in the courts or a cop or advocate of sorts... The general public RARELY has a view such as yours.

That was a fast left and middle lane. They had to got very fast as other drivers on the slow right lane.

4 way stops are one of the most dangerous, diabolically stupid inventions ever. Soooo happy we have roundabouts instead in Australia and people seem to know how they work.
I'm from Canada and people here would rather have a 4-way than a roundabout because they find them too difficult. what I find difficult is to remember who stopped first at a 4-way while looking for pedestrians and cyclists at the same time. I would rather have small roundabouts everywhere
