What a fine, brave young man. He is definitely one squared-away individual. He and Captain Lee have my utmost and heartfelt respect and thanks. Bingo, if you see this...it's "Preflight." You raised a fine man, Sir. ❤️

First heard your story, Matt, through Flight 3433's original CVR on VASAviation's channel. It is wonderful to see that you have fully recovered and are still doing well, though I know you feel the loss of your wings.
Captain Lee: great determination, and some amazing flying to bring that 777 in the way you did. Congratulations on your retirement, though I had hoped to be lucky enough to sit in the back of your aircraft some day.
Best of wishes to both of you!

I hope they change the rules to allow you to fly again…with all the technology planes have now a-days and the fact the 777 usually has 3 or 4 pilots on board…it would seem like in the scheme of things it would be safe for your to continue to be a first office!

those rules won't be changed back, as they are what's right!

Nope! Matt Clark suffered cardiac arrest In May, 2020. He is an advocaate for people to have CPR training. Doctors credit the CPR he received from Capt Lee as saving his life. No doubt, Mr Clark's tremendous will to live helped his recovery too.

Even though this was before, what did you call it, “the jab,” he seems like an intelligent person not given to dangerous, preposterous conspiracy theories. Of course he was vaccinated at some point. He loves his family, and he impresses me as being nobody’s fool.
