Honestly To Your Eternity is honestly such a 10/10 masterpiece of a show that im surprised the second season was so poorley recieved. Don't get me wrong, the second season was definitely a bit slower but i feel like that's the point. Fushi's story has always been a story that focused more on the quiet and introspective moments rather than the big climatic fights. One of the best moments in the story is literally the last discussion between Hiase and Fushi. It's not some big climatic fight scene but instead it's discussion where Fushi finally comes to terms with the fact that as long as he's around, people like Hiase will always be around to hurt the people he cares about. I really wish the show didn't lose it's hype but it's still surprisingly popular in japan at least so it's gonna be a while before it gets a last chapter.
I only got 3 or 4 episodes into this anime. I can't even recall why. Probably one of the Path of Exile updates took over all my free time at that period. Thanks for the reminder to come back to this one.
How sad is it, that the anime community has become toxic as to care for only artsyle and animation, sure it was a downgrade, but the storytelling was still beautiful regardless 😊
I was honestly underwhelmed by the story telling in the second season and ended up dropping it. I feel a show like Frieren has provided a much more compelling look at the passage of time from the perspective of an “immortal” being. I found the first season compelling because it treated each encounter as a separate event that gave more memories to this immortal creature. I wish that the nokkers never existed and that we instead got episodic arcs that followed a new person that the immortal orb would befriend only for them to pass away or move on. Maybe down the round explore the greater plot elements like the orbs mental state and “god’s” plan. Season 2 felt much more serialized than I’d have liked so I ended up dropping it halfway through, it also became a little too goofy for me to take things seriously anymore.
I do like frieren as well, but I have to say that the latter portions of To your eternity have such amazing moments. I encourage you to read the manga, which makes a lot of the weird pacing feel more natural. When I read it, I also felt like the nokkers were necessary because it allowed the story could build toward a final goal for fushi to accomplish
@@Lawly_ How far did you read the manga? I got pretty far but it lost all appeal after a certain arc I don't want to spoil. The story took a very new philosophy and trajectory that was so different from the starting and evolved premise that it kind of ruined the manga for me (even though it was my favorite at the time). Do you have any opinion on that?
I’m caught up with the entirety of jojo, but I’ve never actually liked the story that much lol. Basically, I had watched up to part five, and I thought I might as well finish the rest since I’ve gotten this far
I loved this anime. Its too underrated. My mom doesn't like anime but every once in a while I try to get her to watch a couple. Ive been trying extra hard to get her to watch this one because episode 1 is just chefs kiss and the nameless boy remains one of my favorite characters. In my head cannon hes kinda the first member of fushi's immortal army since fushi takes on his form and, in a sense allows him to follow his dreams. We never see him "officially join" because in a sense, hes already there. Fushi is essentially living in the boys paradise and showing it to him. As for Bon, he never really was one of my favorite characters, but I would agree that his character development is stellar. He grows from being so over the top he would work better as a character in One Piece, to essentially fitting into his own skin in the best way possible. My favorite characters from that part of the story are probably Echo and Kahaku. Echo didn't really do much, but I really like the idea behind her character. Using clay pots to communicate is neat idea and I think more could have been done with it. Kahaku on the other hand is just kinda likable to start with, but having said that his actions didn't fail to surprize me until the end when he finally fell to the nokker in his arm and killed fushi. I'd be lying if I said I didn't see that one comming from a mile away. He was introduced like a side character we weren't supposed to pay much attention to, but seemed to make himself an integral part of the story.
For a time, a girl friend of mine had this manga as her favorite until the manga reached the point where the anime is now, how bad will the story be in this last arc for her to not like it anymore I wonder.
a fantasy story that will make me cry and has character development? look how it skyrocketed to the top of my to-watch list as for you riddle: what has four alphabets, sometimes has nine alphabets, but never has five alphabets
@thelastcube. Oh, I think the alphabet part confused me. I just looked it up, and usually the riddle is told by saying “what has five letters” instead of alphabets
Haven't felt the mood to watch it yet. And with JJK already wrecking my emotional state it's difficult to get in the mood for something quiet and sad. Kind of the same reason we're not currently watching Frieren
While the first episode is great and the rest of the season is decent. Yoshitoki Ōima seems only capable of writing (heart) torturing porn, aka making her characters suffers needlessly and immensely , and in turn, the readers suffers as well due to their sympathy. However, there is little to no aftermath to their suffering, or the aftermath is handled so poorly that it tarnishes the work as a whole.

11/10 series, I’d argue

I hope you enjoy

Your commenting speed is unparalleled
Truly impressive
Which goes true to the testament you don't always need good or great animation to tell a great story with a amazing cast of characters.

@@Lawly_ I just dont think he needed a goal thats so tangible

@thomase640 I read up to the modern arc. I didn’t like that t arc, so I dropped it for now, but I’ll catch up to the rest of the story later
Amazing video
Thx
This one was good. The last season didn’t feel as personal with the characters for whatever reason. It hurt losing that first group.
Yeah, that’s understandable
The goat blesses us with a Christmas upload! I dare you to make a video on jojos you wont

Tell your mom I think she should watch this anime as well

The last arc is very very bad imo
You know what the REAL greatest Fantasy anime is? THAT'S RIGHT!! LORD OF THE MYSTERIES, GO READ IT TRUST(the novel, not the manhwa, please)
It’s so long AHHHHH. It’s calculated to have 2 million plus words…..
a fantasy story that will make me cry and has character development? look how it skyrocketed to the top of my to-watch list
as for you riddle: what has four alphabets, sometimes has nine alphabets, but never has five alphabets
That riddle has me stumped
it's a statement not a question lmao

This was such a good video but imo the modern arc is the best but that’ll be all by
Well done, soldier 🫡

Fair enough
You really should watch it. Its well worth every tear.
I hate how people just forgot this
On god

That’s a fair take. A lot of stuff she writes can be melodramatic. That’s why I liked the Silent Voice movie more than the manga
It’s too depressing
Fair enough
I watched like 7 ep of S1 and then stopped for some reason i can't remember why. Maybe i need to get back into it now
You won’t regret getting back into the show 👍
How can eight eights add up to 1000?
How?
2nd season is shitty af actually I watched it while it was airing and dropped in 2 episodes and then watched it later and it's senseless shit
Oof
rahh
Yes, I totally agree
