Well done getting out in that weather.......and catching......Bonus! Congratulations to all the winners. Good of you both to bring up the importance of mental health. Hope you all have a great Christmas.
Hi Bill, think we were both so glad to get out, we didn't mind the weather!! 😆 Wishing you a very happy and peaceful Christmas and all the best for 2025 👍
Lovely to see you out again Catherine and hopefully you are through your storm. Great fish Sean I too braved the storm weather and blanked but like you guys it was at times comical to watch the wildlife trying their best to fly or swim in a straight line. Great you mentioned the issues people go through and a little story was that as fisherfolk we can sometimes be very insular and get behind our brollies and that's it- however at my local club water there was a chap who always used to come and sit and not say a word to anyone which I respect-one day he hooked a sizeable fish and actually called to me to help him net it, after admiring the fish and getting it back safely he asked if I would share coffee with him - to my surprise he opened his heart at what had been going on in his life and actually apologised for being anti social- well the long and short of it is over the years we have become great friends and share many moments together- I still find it heartwarming that he reached out. On a tackle note Sean, I need to replace my baitrunner reels - I use 10ft rods is a 10000 size too big and unbalanced do you think - I am trying to utilise for some carp fishing in the warmer months when pike season closed. As always keep safe and thanks for your videos- Have a great Christmas what ever you do and have a healthy 2025.
Firstly what a great story that,s exactly what we we,re hoping someone would say or that they themselves we,re reaching out for help it was just that trigger of the big fish that made him possibly forget his worries or issues he was silently dealing with secondly i,d say the 10,000 size reel will be perfect for targetting carp in the warmer months again what a really heartwarming story thats fantastic thankyou so much for sharing it with us 🙏😊
I agree about the weather. Newmiller dam near me fishes well with a chop on it as do the lagoons and the canal oddly though my favorite pike water tends to fish better flat calm with hardly any wind funny buggers pike 😊
