Lemme tell y’all something:
There is something personal for me with Russian Rose and False memory syndrome (track).
Russian Rose itself felt familiar to me and it reminded me of one particular blue; a blue that is light at the bottom and gets darker as you go up… it’s hard to explain. Russian Rose also gives me nostalgic feelings of my youth when I flew airplanes where I also saw that blue from earlier and those clouds. Just those simple things just happen inside me.
Russian Rose really gave me some kind of false memory and I can understand why The Caretaker sampled it for PROP.
And here we see that false memory deteriorate slowly. Could this mean that The Caretaker’s false memory is also personal for him too? Maybe. But that’s only a theory.

i love how creative layer 2 is, none of the samples have a lowered pitch and are instead pitchmapped, yet it still succeeds in sounding unfamiliar. i couldnt even recognize increasingly absorbed in his own world was there
