- This video is a quick day in my work life at amazon fulfillment center. I'm taking y'all along with me to show what the working environment is like.

You don't have to have a high school diploma to work at Amazon. I should know because I work there and I don't have either or.. and being at work for 10 hours by myself is the best remedy for me. I can't be around too many people. And plus even if I'm not at work I'm always in my head so no problem over here.
How is the interview?
@@evaellerbe6812 the interview is simple. For my interview I went to the one room to get my photo taken for my badge, then I went to another room to get my swab test taken. And tht was it, u wait for a email to be sent to you after they do ur drug test and background check. Then u wait for the email for the next step. I also had to do a 3 hour multiple questions more like a test. And u get paid for tht. After u are done you will be in. And I love how everyone is in charge of their own hours just make sure you don't get negative upt (unpaid time) cause then u will get fired.

“if i don’t have music i start to lose my mind” me too absolutely. i work 4 10 1/2 hour shifts as a picker and it sucks. it gets really really lonely

I work at a fulfilment centre myself, and my manager took my Ipod and speaker, which I bought SPECIFICALLY for work, and as a result, I am subjected to rap music EVERY DAY, it's torture!
@@benpowell5682 lol..im in the UK and worked for Amazon ..the trick is to wear a face covering that covers your ears ..that's what a lot of the guys do where i was ..a lot of people wore scarves or snoods or bandanas ..no one ever questioned it ..and it's a lot of eastern Europeans that run the show in the FCs here and yes, they do seem to live their rnb and hip hop which is good for me
Damn that's something. This vid started off all like yeah work at Amazon it's chill, then went all, nah fam don't do that. Lol. I always hear mixed things about working there, but in these times it seems like a quick job to get into. Thanks for the video non the less, but would love a follow up as to why you quit.
I start next week and after all of these videos...I'm scared.

Don’t be, I worked at LGB8 back in may 2017-July 2018 and now I’m back into the coming and start in the new location in Rialto. And it’s a blessing to work at amazon.from the company, work, hours to benefits are great. I’m blessed to be back because me and my wife are expecting our first child and once ur hired on the company offers maternity leave for mother and Father to take the time to take care of their newborn. Plus the company also has Pet Insurance which is perfect cause I have 7 dogs

I started at a new building in Oklahoma as a picker(AA), my second week i went through the ambassador class(LA). After 2 months I became a process guide(PG). I just took a test for a process assistant(PA) and waiting for an interview.
I might be working at the owasso location soon i hope its not bad
I start Friday and I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7:30AM - 6:30PM in Fort Worth and I am super nervous.

Wow! I live in El Paso, TX born and raised. They just started leveling the ground out where they're going to build it, along with having cranes and heavy machinery assisting. The company that's building the fulfillment center already has a fence around the monstrous property with their name on it as well. Even though I don't have any intentions to work there, I REALLY wanted to see some sort of video like this on what it's like and I thank you for it. What you went through was ABSOLUTELY brutal, even with four days off but I applaud you for sticking it out as much as possible. Also, I live about 15-20 minutes from where Amazon is going to be as well so that's a bonus. Either way, this is a HUGE step forward for El Paso, as well as other major companies that plan to come here. By the way, it's so cool that you're from E.P. as well and hopefully one day I get to meet you if/when you visit haha. Take care and congratulations on a new subscriber 😊!
Amazon is an amazing company a friend of mine started in 2012 as a picker and did the stock purchase plan and contributed as much as he could. Stock is worth about half a million dollars not to mention they paid for his education to become an engineer there.
You’re a sweet girl / you should become a nurse . $80,000 salaries . Even a LPN is easier to get and you’d still make $40,000 or more and it’s less crazy than this repetitive boring job . Plus you’d be happier helping people I get since you seem like you have there personality of being helpful . Don’t worry about the cost , school loans can be paid back over time and you’ll have plenty in income to pay them back.
i have my pre hire event tomorrow and im hoping i get hired because i’m tired of working at target. it seems like it’s tiresome but im hopeful!

Thank you for making this video. I'm starting at Amazon Fulfillment Center- Make On Demand position in PA next week and this video gave me a great understanding of what I'll be facing when I start my job. By the way, what is your position called at Amazon?
What is ur specific job title? I want to work for amazon and would like to apply for that specific position :) I like the idea of no social interaction because I struggle so hard with socializing
For warehouse position you can’t choose what will you do but after some time you can transfer into different departments if u don’t like the current role

I get 17 hourly for nights 6:45pm to 7:15 am in NC as a picker
@@Poloco65 same I get paid 17 overnight .....over her in FLA overnight gives 50¢ more for overnight work
So this is the pick department with robots. Anyone ever try the old way to pick? Where you have to WALK to each location for 10 hours? Sucks. Lol

No it will not. You will most likely stow, or pull them pick towards the end of the day

she’s a picker where you pick the items and send it off to the other end of the warehouse . but nine times outta of ten you are either stowing

Jordan, very good question. They take you out back and beat the shit out of you for 5 minutes. (They don't like to go over 5 minutes as to affect maximum productivity)

I work in one of the "ghetto" older warehouses that don't have the robots. Can't wait to transfer.

Have to clock out for one break not clocking out over and over again will result in corrective action

It’s a picker and the light is the bin to put the items in. Also you can’t use your passport, you must have an id, driver’s license and real copy of social security.

@@user-zc9zt2vl5s I never stowed before, I only picked. But picking is easy though, you can work at your own pace. Btw what do you mean by rates ?
@@pumpkinspice231 amazon or warehouse usually have a quota you must adhere to, so you must be able to pick a certain amount per hour. I've never heard of a picker/stower working for amazon without a having a rate/quota that they must reach.

Veniceyaa Parada i started with pick and slowly i learned many other roles within my department so i can switch between direct role and indirect role so that helps a lot and don’t get tired that much

@@Fayehough u carry a scanner around that tells you what to pick
@Tade you have a hand held scanner that will let you know what location to go to almost like sum one's city, street and address of that person. And once at ur location you will scan the right QR code. If it's wrong the scanner will let you know. Then you look for the correct item. And the scanner will sum times show you a picture of ur item you have to pick. Then you would scan the QR code thts on the item. And again, if it's wrong the scanner will let you know.
