- I was doing some window shopping on my way to work and saw these classic grey New Balance 574 sitting on clearance. I OBVIOUSLY had to scoop them up given my latest New Balance obsession. These are such a classic sneaker to have in the collection because they do everything right. Between style, comfort, versatility, affordability and all the adjectives to describe a good set of sneakers - these meet every criteria. Although these aren't top end nb, s they're a classic trainer - great shape and I like the grey colourway - I will always wear them with pride. 👍

Classics...a must Have best shoe ever! All colors 55 years old still wearing them today! Never a Dad shoe! Dont know where that came from but i grew up in the Washington D.C. metro where these are a staple still to this day!

I will always own a pair of 574s. My old one broke after 6 years of extensive use and I replaced it with another pair of 574s, just different color, dark blue this time instead of dark red. The thing I love about them is that they work with 90% of the clothes you have, also are good in most of the weather conditions from summer to winter and are great in the city and also on trails. This pair is amazing and after you get your hands on one you will understand.

I have a burgundy pair purchased 2 years ago for like $30. I love them and still wear them even for long walks even though that suede is hard to clean in my opinion.

These are really funny because I grew up with my dad wearing these and I thought they were the ugliest shoe on the planet. Then I turned 30 and it was like, oh, I like them now haha
I currently own a pair of the classic Blue pair in size 13. Pretty good catch since I can’t find size 13 in any other pairs besides the classic grey and black. I plan on either getting the classic grey or white next. I also just recently got my 574s so it’s still in pretty good condition

Hey, I think the colour is absolutely amazing.I bought my first pair two days ago and I have to say, my Nike and Adidas days are gone. I've never had a pair of trainers as comfortable as new balance. I did read that New balance was once Nike's rival back in the 80s.
Although I buy Nike and Adidas for looks, when it comes to comfort NOTHING beats New Balance 574 and Saucony Jazz
I got these in grey a few weeks ago and they are real nice looking. They go with almost anything style wise. Comfort wise they are about what I expected. The ENCAP is way too squishy in my opinion and I really feel my foot sink into it. That’s my only complaint though, the liner is soft and there is lots of cushion around the ankle. I wanna get them in navy, burgundy, and black now but I can’t do all that 😅. For now the grey is great

literally just got a pair. wanted a cheap pair of sneakers for "outdoor" stuff, but living in a massive city the worst I get is some dirt trails up nearby hills, or forest parks so didn't want some full on outdoor walking shoes, and trail running shoes are...expensive. That being said, my sneaker collection mainly consists of Nike running shoes (for...running, obvs) and Jordans, none of which I particularly want to wear in "outdoor" situations. I've had 574s and 376 (or is 378? the ones with thin soles) before - they're cheap enough to replace, bland enough to match anything, and comfortable enough to wear all day, pretty much no matter where you are (obviously any serious hiking is probably a no-go), I definitely recommend them as a wardrobe staple for people who just want shoes to wear with anything, anywhere, any season. They are a total no-brainer. Of course the made in usa or made in uk ones are much better made, but they are also crazy expensive so they are probably not something I'd want to just kick about in. That being said, they are crazy comfy and are great for a daily shoe in an urban environment.

It's the colorways for me. They've got some designs which look better than Nike, Adidas, and Jordan's. Can't wait to get my first couple of pairs.
Because hip hop embrace the 9 series, first luxuri sneaker that was above $100, before MJ's, 574 were built for the hood, an affordable 9 series sneaker, with many colors to choose, it's a strip down version from the 9 series.
Just picked up this same pair at the thrift for 10$. Very gently used. Also have a pair of maroon and yellow ones. These are awesome!

i’m 16 & got these for $38 @ Destin , Fl Outlets mall. They were so fire but I hooped in em on the road & got holes in em but they still comfy as heck.

The khaki color ones that the person had on in the background go real well with black pants and a cream shirt back in the days these were my go toos the blue ones and then the pumas dropped and then the Nike boots dropped

574, country walkers ànd some of the trail runners are awesome. The regular running shoes, not so much

Why do they look so much lighter on your feet? Are they a diff color on your feet? NB has some nimbus and cream shades

the traction is good , but not on the wet surfaces. I'd say it's like an ice-skating. So be careful.
The traction is not worse on wet surfaces than any other sneaker.

574 kind of ended when NB started sourcing from China and counterfeit 574s strangely started showing up on Chinese grandma's all over the place.
That's why the pricing is messed up.
I have the US574 (made in USA amazing quality) and I'm scared to buy a normal 574 (made in asia) because i don't want to be disappointed with the quality. Has anyone ran both USA and none USA ones for a long time and give me some input on this?
The quality of materials on the made in us is definitely way better, which also means longevity. Made in Asia is still a pretty comfortable shoe though.

Not sure of the difference between the two, I don’t think there is one. They are TTS, I’d also recommend looking into the foot width because I know they have wide options!
