I didnt really cared too much about these shoes until i tried them. I personally think that these shoes are a 10/10 one of the best shoes i've ever owned in terms of quality materials, timeless style and absolute comfort for this price. New balance makes the absolute best looking grey colorway sneakers in my opinion.
The good thing about the 574s is i genuinely prefer the styling of them to the more expensive ones..So i dont have to spend too much when buying them 🤣🤣 And imo they're more versatile than some of the other models and fit in well with many different dress codes. but if they cost more id still buy them. And the original 574s are so loght its like your walking on clouds ☁️ lol . The 574 legacy feel slightly heavier but still comfortable.
These shoes seem small for sure. Compared to all other NBs I've bought I had to go up 0.5 (11 -> 11.5). Also I tried the black ones and those felt even smaller even in the same size(s). Don't know if it's a bad batch from NB or what, but definitely recommend going up at least 0.5 size on this 'Core' version.
Right now, I'd say the best shoe for comfort, style, and price would be the 2002R, especially if you can find pairs at retail or even on sale. I think they're a great middle ground from the high end made in USA collection and better than the more affordable offerings from NB (such as the 574, 327, and 550).

They feel more like an orthopedic shoe, whereas the 574's are way more "fun". 577's on the other hand, have the way better materials and will definitely serve you longer. I can Imagine that the 576'a are similar in Terms of fit though, at least they look almost identical.

To be honest, I wasn't really super wow'ed at first when I saw the 574. It was only until I had them on feet that I started to appreciate them.

I just bought these in black. First ever pair of new balance, that I’ve ever owned.
I also got bit of pain on pinky toe with first wear. But to solve problem i loosened the laces cos out the box the laces was mad tight.
Looking for a new work shoe. Going to try these on after work to see if they feel right for all day wear.

Is there a new balance model you would say fits like the 574? I’m a 10.5 W in these and would like to look at other models like the 990V1 or 1500
I think the 990v1 and the 576/577 fit similarly to the 574. Another one that is close is the 1300!

I'd say so, I have EE width feet and the wide version of these are pretty supportive.
These shoes get "bigger" with wear, so people recommend going a size up, no need to, it would be too big

Nah, they really don't. If they don't fit the first time, they're the wrong size to begin with.
