NB574 are probably the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. I've been buying these since my high school days in the early 1990s and they are so affordable.
Just picked up a pair from Amazon for 574.. after weeks of looking at every brand and shoe out they seemed the best for me. Comfortable and timeless like Levi’s and a white-tee. I like that look.. not flashy but still nice looking.

Not sure about the comfort part
Actually the cushion lasts for ages..I have them for 3 years, every single day, I am 210lbs and no issues whatsoever
The humble 574 is my favorite shoe and I prefer them even over the 990's, they are lighter. I've had lots of pairs in grey mainly and I realized recently how versatile they are. You can hike (because they were hybrid trail-running shoes when launched), you can run and wear with a blazer to the office. I use old pairs as beaters. They last a lot and you can buy a new pair any place in the world. Good video:)

Great review! I was just wondering did you notice any issues with squeaking on this shoe? I’ve owned AF1s and Air Monarch IVs and both shoes have squeaking issues.
The best feature of this shoe that I absolutely love is that the rock solid stability it provides for your ankles and general stance and the amazing grip on the bottom of the soles.
Also, even if they feel a bit tight when you first buy them, leave them on an walk around about an hour and you’ll discover that they stretch out and actually form fit to your foot with a perfect snugness.

I just bought 4 pair and I got them on sale for 60 dollars they are comfortable in my opinion I didn’t even know I had on shoes at some points lol but i would definitely recommend for the price on sale
Just got a pair of these and the soles are very slippy. Do they improve over time? I’m scared to wear them to drive in case my foot slips off the brake pedal!
Which is more durable either the 574 or 574 core?
Do you have videos on your favorite shoes? I tried to search through your channel but I didn't see any that call out what you like the most. I know personally, I am interested in getting either a Nike or New Balance running shoe to also wear for day to day activity also. Do you have any thoughts on this? Would love to hear your advice!

I've been wearing these for years and they're been dreamy! My favourite go to shoe for anything from walking the dog to all day in the city and travelling on holiday. I stopped by a NB store yesterday and found the construction to have changed. Instead of the plush, foamy tongue on my old pair, it's this new mesh one and the bouncy-ness is way less. I still got them cause they were £37 (same pair as in this video actually) but I think they're not as good as they used to be. Hoping to treat myself to some 2002r's which are very comfortable and feel high quality to wear and handle, at which point my 574's will likely be demoted to dog walking
The ones that say Classics in the tongue currently come with the thinner tongue, which I like a lot, but they´re still putting out some with the old puffier one, they just don´t say Classics in it.

My beater and yes gateway to NB. I agree with all your points... Suede of the upper last but The EVA of all my 574s rotted near the midsole area where upper met the sole...and this is not cuz of long term storage...they just disintegrate over time. The EVA is designed to fail so I just grab another 574 when it does...

@BillyVisuals yea...the eva alway fail at the same area I described but I still love my 574s for all the price point and colourways it offers

Im an Airmax fan and most of my shoes are Airmaxes until i bought my first NB 574 3 months ago and so surprised how it fits perfectly on my feet and it just feel so good. After that i got 10more NB shoes in just a span of 3 months.
What will u do with so many sneakers..ohh my bad u r sneaker head..i have NB 574..a Puma and Adidas..and an Nike which I donated..out of all the 574 is incredibly comfortable and light weight..

Im a sneaker head i guess but i dont buy whats hyped (except if i really loved the shoes), i dont buy on resellers because i only buy at srp. I grew up poor and cant barely wear shoes during my gradeschool, i only have 2 pair of shoes when i was in college because we were poor and so to me, having extra money right now to buy shoes is like a therapy.

so it's the 574 v2 that have the cushioned tongue, not the base 574. my mistake
total buy, and you wanna check the Adidas Advantage over the Stan smith, a premium version comes with leather and they are a bit rounder and thus better for wider feet just ike the NB 574.
Can You wear them to gym?
The grayish part of the midsole on my pairs have creases and started to drop off. It is also not as comfort as some low end athletic NB running shoes. You are basically paying for its look IMO.

I've been wearing 574s for most of the past 20 years. At some point, New Balance cheapened up the 574 and added the "classic" label. the tongue was plush and cushioned before. I'm hesitant to buy another pair.
it´s not cheapened up, it´s for breathability and a classier look.

Not all 574s have a thin tongue. There are literally hundreds of variations of the 574, with different fabrics, textures, and colors. I have at least a dozen 574s with thick, plush tongues.
Im glad the model that i prefer the most (574s) doesnt have me paying too much 🤣🤣 i dont really like the other models.

why would you want assistance while standing?
Get a pair of superfeet for these. Go with green or carbon. They will outlast the life of the shoe. Your feet will thank you later if you're caught walking long distances with these

Okay time to get serious. I’ve never been a fan of New Balance’s logo. A giant ‘N’ on the side and a basic ‘Balance’ on the back feels so tacky. And I disagree that they are a stylish fit for ‘everyone’ because of the bizarre logo placements. It’s nowhere near as sleek or subtle as Nike’s swoosh or Adidas’ weird three lines. Maybe it’s just me but the first time I saw the ‘N’ on a shoe, I honestly thought it meant ‘Nike’.
I’m not actually angry about this. I’m just bitter that I can’t dance like you can.

@jamesuk3860 i went a 0.5 size up for these because online it says these "models run small" but it fits perfectly. I got a size 10 and I always use 9.5
