I thought Dexter was meh, ok. Breaking Bad was pretty good, but I didn't go apeshit over it like everyone else. Mad Men is for people with vaginas. Twin Peaks is the one for you, my friend.
"I'll see you again in 25 years..." The new season drops on June 10, 2016. 25 years *to the day* that the last episode aired. Can we all just take a moment to contemplate the psychotic commitment (or else mad trolling) involved here?
Exactly, that's what I was thinking a few weeks back, I was ... ok 1990, 2015 that would be 25 years, but 2016 is more accurate indeed because there was Season 2
Magemo7 And the timing of this announcement is kinda crazy because I just grabbed a couple of fanedits to watch yesterday. A 5-hour cut of the series that shaves off side characters/plots to hone in on the murder mystery angle, and a 3.5-hour fanedit of the film that re-integrates over an hour of cut footage back into it. Gonna be good times. :3
i dont think its been planned for 25 years, frost just said in an interview in Deadline that he and david began to seriously consider a new run 3 years ago... just sayin
+Parrish Muhoberac Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, but just in case it isn't, they weren't released like that. 4 was originally just called "Star Wars" and the other two didn't have numbers in their titles.
+Brutalearll Planned? Lynch left because he clashed with ABC and Mark Frost, the network wanted to turn the series into shit and they made that happen after only 15/16 episodes. Lynch came back for the season finale but in the end ABC cancelled it and Lynch has always said that he was going to bring Twin Peaks back one day. The industry opened up a lot and with several series coming back it was the right time(although it's hardly going to air in 2016).
+The Notorious T.A.F.T. Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, but yes they did. "Star Wars" got the "Episode 4" attached to it in a rerelease just before "The Empire Strikes Back" came out, and "The Empire Strikes Back" did indeed originally come out with the "Episode 5" subtitle there. Same with "Return of the Jedi".
+Samuel Bannister Fair enough. Only seen the first two and they were both the special editions. I've seen the original posters for them numerous times and they didn't have any numbering on them so that's what I went off of. Up until the SE DVDs it doesn't look like any of the home video releases had the number branding in the titles either, just "Star Wars", "The Empire Strikes Back" or "Return of the Jedi" text, so you can see why I would think that.
Discovered TP in my last year of high school. I would drive through the woods at the end of the day, listening to Angelo Badalementi's score in my headphones, eagerly awaiting to get home and watch the show. This is great.
Alright everyone, I can confirm that twin peaks is 100% coming next year. They filmed in my town and at my next door neighbors house, they finished a couple months ago and worked on it for MONTHS. And yes, the diner will be back the the cherry pie and damn fine cups of coffee.
I LOVED Twin Peaks, the disturbed characters, the haunting imagery and music. Of all the television programs I have watched, Twin Peaks went inside me emotionally and mentally, there were so many things I liked about it. I read the book The Diary of Laura Palmer, yet despite being so into it, I never guessed who her murderer was (and felt surprised when I found out who it was), despite there was meant to be clues in the book.
Im just 21 Years Old and watched twinpeak 2 years ago for the first time. I was blown away. Perfection in the details, subtle humour, amazing character design ... Every time my friends are talking about TV shows they like (not that all of them are bad) im like: You gotta watch this. But its not very prominent in the media these days and therefore not important to a lot of people. And also a lot of younger people get scared off by the fact that its that old.
Who is going to be BOB? The legacy of the dear departed Frank Silva will be a tough act to follow. He made BOB truly one of the scariest characters I've ever seen.
Omio Rahman Aye, but the image of Kyle McLachlan still doesnt raise my pulse (and give me horrible goosebumps) as much as Frank Silva's did.. I'd imagine atleast. Hope they will bring back some epic scary moments!
I DON'T watch TV, but years after Breaking Bad was produced, I was curious and watched the whole series in a few days. I was HOOKED! Apparently Twin Peaks was similarly popular, so I am curious to see it also. The ORIGINAL 1990 series.
collette m :P, never cared for her, too weird, not a very good actress, all over the place. Was still shocked when she was apart of the bomb explosion in the finale, but by that point she was just a boring business lady.

This is quite an exciting challenge for David Lynch and Mark Frost !! I'm from the twin peaks generation. My number one TV show ever , no way to be disappointed !!! please blow our mind once again
Sue Whiting you have no idea my love for this. I insisted that a trip my wife (before she was my wife) and I took to the Cascades back in 1996 include a sideline to Snoqualmie so we could see the sights of the town, eat at the Mar T Cafe and stay at the lodge by the falls. We spent two days checking out different locations used in filming. She still married me. ;-)
Dan Pawlak You definitely married the right lady. It was because I loved Twin Peaks, that a member of the Star Trek/Sci Fi Club I belonged to in my home city, said to me at the time that if I liked Twin Peaks so much I should watch a new show out called The X Files. I watched it and totally became hooked on that too! ☺
I loved Twin Peaks. I hope they do it well in this upcoming series. It was especially interesting to me growing up around where the externals were shot and the city that Twin Peaks was based off of (North Bend, WA). North Bend does have somewhat of an eerie vibe already and they did a good job of making the entire town seem shifty.
I personally hope the focus in this new season won't be on answering questions, but on creating new interesting ones. If you look at season 1 and 2, the show was in its "moment de grace" when the mystery was whole, and the quality began to deteriorate in season 2, when answers began to be provided to the audience (due to network pressures, mostly). Lynch is a master of mystery, and we need more of that in this era of instant-gratification. Google for example is great because it answers our questions in a matter of seconds. Outstanding. I was talking to a friend a couple of years ago who is an enormous fan of the show and I reminded to her: 'do you remember that scene set 25 years in the future?' 'Maybe they can do a restart of the show!' She will go completely mental when she hears the news, and I am pretty darn pleased as well. :)

Nice touch on the very ending of the video with the electricity symbolism. That's how the spirits traveled or something, it' been awhile since I've seen the show.
It's hard to make predictions but here goes:BOB/Cooper has somehow managed to fool everyone and has retired after the Black Lodge incident. Annie didn't survive, and Cooper's odd behavior is explained by grief. Shelley runs the RR diner; Bobby settled down and lives in town. Audrey survived the bomb blast but is disabled. The evil in the woods has died down but resurfaced. Or else I could be completely wrong

no fucking way no way no way i cant stop saying no way and laughing lol so happy, so exiting. My fortune cookie said today was an important day, today i learned the gum i like is coming back in style.
I hope they will keep the same music and atmosphere and i hope they will not make too similar plot involving a corpse in a paper of killed female-student,just everything the same like in the Star Wars:force awakens which is too similar to New Hope
I look forward to the return of Twin Peaks, one of the best shows ever. I just hope it isn't too heavily influenced by the feminist agenda like most current TV programming.
Again, like Ashley Hogins, turning this into something it's not. There is no "feminism agenda" in today's TV programming, apart from putting women in realistic and often lead roles, raising them above just something for the main character to stick his dick in. I'm sure Twin Peaks will treat women like normal human beings, just like everyone else who has a brain does.
YawpingStance I also believe in showing women as normal human beings in TV programming. Unfortunately, the feminist groups demand that all women be shown as ten times stronger, smarter, more clever, sexier and more attractive than any man in the show. That's what I'm hoping doesn't happen with Twin Peaks.
I really hope that in the course of the 9 episodes of "TWIN PEAKS 2016," there is time and opportunity to address not only the unresolved cases of the T.P. original, but also the many and curious mysteries only hinted at in the movie prequel; In particular, I refer to the case "Judy" and Special Agent Phillip Jeffries, played by a great David Bowie! A story only hinted at during the film's prequel, but so beautiful and well-acted ... much to intrigue the most attentive audience! Among other things, if you pay close attention to what the Special Agent Jeffries pronunciation as it comes in the FBI office, you'll discover some question marks left by the TV series ... offering a first reading of the same! … Is one of the most important scenes of the movie prequel, despite being set a year before the death of Laura, is more fundamental as a "sequel" of the show! … Here because, according to my personal point of view, must be expanded in the new TV series !!!
So happy how everything turned out in the end. Davis and Mark will both be involved, we're gonna get more episodes, i just can not wait. Thank you to everyone involved, including Showtime for bringing back the show. It is gonna be legendary.

Hi... I'm from 2017. We're halfway through the third season. Instead of 9 episodes, we got 18. And it's wonderful.

WHAT?!
Yes, watched bothe series back in the 90's, and just re-watched them all on the Syfy channel, totally bizzare, but unmissable, cant wait for 2016
no fucking way no way no way i cant stop saying no way and laughing lol so happy, so exiting. My fortune cookie said today was an important day, today i learned the gum i like is coming back in style.
This is by far the best day I´ve had in this bloody year!
I hope they will keep the same music and atmosphere and i hope they will not make too similar plot involving a corpse in a paper of killed female-student,just everything the same like in the Star Wars:force awakens which is too similar to New Hope
I never thought I'd see the day. Unbelievable.
My sincerest THANK YOU.
Happy Birthday to me!
R.I.P Robert
I look forward to the return of Twin Peaks, one of the best shows ever. I just hope it isn't too heavily influenced by the feminist agenda like most current TV programming.
***** I think I might even still have my log......
That's what I'm hoping doesn't happen with Twin Peaks.
jason Stowers Aren't women a big part of Twin Peaks already?
***** Yes, and your point is?????
Thank you Showtime! Amazing! I can't wait to revisit this world.
This is just too good to be true
Get the coffee and cherry pie ready!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited! This was my favorite show. I am a huge David Lynch fan
I really hope that in the course of the 9 episodes of "TWIN PEAKS 2016," there is time and opportunity to address not only the unresolved cases of the T.P. original, but also the many and curious mysteries only hinted at in the movie prequel;
In particular, I refer to the case "Judy" and Special Agent Phillip Jeffries, played by a great David Bowie!
Well, you were more than right. That's pretty much what all of the return was about
LOVED THAT SHOW! CAN'T WAIT. The show that started it all.
I wonder how they are going to manage it without Frank Silva - BOB
And Pete!
I'd imagine they'd get Ray Wise - Leland Palmer as the incarnation of BOB - white hair and all. Could be quite creepy
SPOILER: Pete technically exploded in the last episode.
Just hearing that theme again gives me goosebumps,, so happy to hear this.
Anyone looking forward to this ?
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
The show that started modern television for me.
Please do not change anything. Just continue...
New show or just reruns ?
So happy how everything turned out in the end.
Davis and Mark will both be involved, we're gonna get more episodes, i just can not wait.
Thank you to everyone involved, including Showtime for bringing back the show.
It is gonna be legendary.
Awesome *_*
I don't currently get Showtime but will definitely add it for this.....but man over a year of waiting is so harsh!
