I don't comment on here much, but this video was SOOOO helpful! I've been studying and struggling with color correction and luts for almost two weeks and out of the many videos I've watched, this short 5 minute one was probably the most direct and resourceful. Thank you!
I have a hard time figuring out which LUTs to use. Auto works nicely but when you want a certain edge it's hard to figure that out. Oh and BTW where is episode 1 of 3? I cannot seem to find it. Maybe put it in the description to make it easier to find???
Premiere doesn’t recognize my fx3 slog3 footage as slog3, it recognizes it as rec709, I have to interpret it manually….but when I open old premiere projects that were created before the auto tone mapping feature…it recognizes my fx3 slog3 footage correctly and applies the lut…what is going on? Does Adobe need to catch up to fx3’s firmware to detect the color space correctly or what?
Hi there, thanks for writing in. Is this footage transcoded or straight out of the camera? Please reach us out on X (Twitter) or Facebook (@AdobeCare) with more details. ^Nishu
Sorry for the delayed response. What's the version of Premiere Pro you're using? Do you have the "Auto Detect Log Video Color Space" checked (in Lumetri Color Panel > Settings > Project)? Please reach out to us on Facebook or X (Twitter) (@AdobeCare) with the details so that we can assist you better. Thanks, ^Nishu

@heyshaylan4176 Thank you for the kind words!
i am with you... no'one ever explained the step by step on input vs creative luts
Would you say that stock footage doesn't need the input lut rec709 most of the time?
