Chuck, speaking of learning the Thai language it is really difficult. You are lucky to have Paige as your part-time teacher by your sides 24hrs/7. I have the same problem as yours but I am not as lucky as you I have no chance to speak with any Thai native here. The last time I was in Udon Thani was in 1973 so to see it now... wow it has changed. From only the main streets being paved, from water in homes mainly being in cisterns.... now it's so much more like the states.... Fortunately the people are still very laid back, cool, nice. As long as you realize that eastern people see things in a different light for priorities, you will do just fine in Thailand these days. Just try to learn as much Thai language as possible... that will make you life much richer in Thailand.

Chuck, can you explain the economics of how the roadside stands work. They all sell the IDENTICAL set of products, so it doesn't matter where you stop, but apparently each shop is a separate owner. Do you think they all share the revenue, so it doesn't matter where you shop, or do they change the locations of the shops to even out the opportunity? I would suppose the first shop gets less business than the last. Anyway, something that has always puzzled me in Thailand.

I recently finished the Speak Thai Course and I am now doing the Reading and Writing Course. Thai Style just won 1st place as one of the best schools out there. Love your Blogs, I tried to learn some basic Thai but it always goes haywire once I have had a few drinks lol. Driving in the right lane too long is a no no in Australia also but as long as your doing the speed limit rarely an issue, only with other drivers who want to go faster. They make Stupid Laws here also, one time they banned Motorbikes from parking on Melbourne City sidewalks, the next day every Motorbike took a car parking space early - so there where no spaces left for cars and grid lock traffic all day, they reversed the law the next day.

I always hear about people saying they are unsubscribed. I've seen it on the RUclips app but it wasn't really unsubscribed, just hadn't loaded its data in correctly. When I saw it I immediately double checked on desktop and was still subscribed, then refreshed the app and it was back again. I always wonder if the people that say this are just experiencing a bad data connection or if they really do get unsubscribed.
