when i was 15 I attempted suicide by walking in the middle of on coming traffic. A japanese man ran in, picked me up, and ran me out of the road. He comforted me and talked to me like I was someone valuable. that man married my mom some years later...I wish he could've ended up on one of these lists. He will always be my hero. love you lots Dad. you may not be my dad by blood, but you are more of a father than my biological father.

Their is no HD in moments when you rescue a living being.
Bondi beach lifeguards are no doubt in rescuing numbers of struggling beach goers who are Black,White,Asian,Arabs, everyone. They saved lives, they brought back the lives of drowning victims by doing CPR, they are professional and well-trained blokes (single guys/dudes in Australian).
In this clip, Terry, the lifeguard saved the kid seconds from drowning..
This is why I will never give up on humanity and the goodness in people
One time, I was swimming in one of the great lakes while camping with my friends. The swimming area was very crowded. There was a sand bar somewhere near the end of the swim zone, so my friends went out to stand on it. I, of course, followed. I got to a point where i couldn't touch the bottom and the current was pretty strong, so I decided to grab on to the rope that mark the right side of the swim area.
I followed it and all the while I was doing dumb kid things, like going to the other side of the rope and letting go of the rope (clearly I was a genius). Surprise! I suddenly found that I could no longer reach the fucking rope! Darwin was 100% smiling down at me from where ever the hell he ended up. Needless to say, I freaked out. "HELP!!!" I screamed. Of course, the life guards couldn't hear me. How could they? There were too many people, and where there's lots of people, there's lots of sound.
This is when my hero steps in. So I'm a few feet away from the rope now, desperately flailing my arms so I can reach the rope and slowly losing hope, when I suddenly get grabbed. It was a random lady that just so happened to be standing a few feet away. I immediately latched onto her as if my life depended on it. I said thank you over and over again. She then brought me back to the shallow water.
So, thank you for saving my life that day, Ma'am.

humanity is overwhelmingly good. Yet, there are two major flaws: One, it is the bad people that tend to crave power and influence, this they are oftehn the ones in leadership positions. Two, when people are repeatedly told the world is a bad place, then people lower their expectations and lose hope. The world is overwhelmingly good, and, to not help someone in need it abnormal, out of the ordinary.
This is life... This is beauty.... I'm dreaming to do something heroic like this since when i was 13 and now I'm 24...i strongly believe one day I'll do something heroic of this sort...
Good intentions go a long way ❤ Maybe the people who rush to help first when something tragic happens, actually have a habit of helping out others with small things too, in their daily lives. Maybe you are also one of them. ❤

i remember one time i was at the sunshine coast, and i was at the beach swimming. and at this beach there is really big waves, and infront of me there was a small child that looked 5-6 and he was swimming alone in the massive waves with his board. and a big wave just hit him and he fell off his board. there was plenty of people there watching but no one did anything and he was drowning so i swam as fast as i could over to him because its an instinct and i grabbed him and lifted him up, as i lifted him up his dad ran over to me nearly crying and said. "Thank you so much." and i was only about 11 at the time.
The one with the gorilla I read about it in a book it protected the child from the other gorillas so they wouldn't hurt him and the on,y reason the gorilla did that was because it was a mother that knew someone was in agony

rtnet1998 sometimes it's a gopro or a security camera. But often people take videos or pictures incase people get sued. A lot of times when there is an emergency there is someone there to take pictures to teach people or to use for court cases.
Or when a person is trapped in a burning vehicle and people scream at would be rescuers that your not suppose to move a accident

@@lindanwfirefighter4973 Hmmm maybe some are like that(since we don't know them we can only guess?) but a lot of the times people have to worry about themselves. Maybe they too know that they might not be physically and mentally ready to do such acts and that is totally understandable. No one is to be forced to help others, especially when they can't help themselves. Also, fear. One thing is us sitting and talking shiz, and the other is us actually approaching the burning building, letting our hairs light up in fire and our skin boil. There is a big difference, so I don't blame those who don't.

+Blah Pooo Cats are very territorial! The cat saw a foreign predator was coming in His territory and attacking his den and pact members/child and defended just as they would do in the wild. My cats act the same way when other cats or animals come to the front door or window. They go beserk and try to attack through the glass door.

These clips reminds me of every time I saving a single mother, that had her 2yo in her arms walking across a heavily trafficked, 4 lane intersection in the crosswalk and almost got hit by a impatient truck driver. She was in the right away and it scared her that she almost dropped her son. Which would have resulted in him being run over. I grabbed her by the shoulder from behind and pulled her back. For 15 minutes that woman cried because, when the truck pulled so quickly in front of her, from shock she opened her arms to throw them up in fear and then caught her son in mid air. I cried and was so mad. I have a long list of people I have saved and being someone that has seen the worst of what humanity has to offer and personally have been kidnapped and everything, these videos ground me and remind me that there is still good hearted people out there. Animals included. I have witnessed heroic animals and owned a dog that was a hero. God bless them all.

The clip about the drowning girl is very educational. This is what drowning looks like in reality - no screaming and splashing like in the movies. If they have enough breath to scream, they are not yet drowning (still go help them). It is very silent and often happens a few steps away from the unaware parents.

It's good to see there are still people out there in the world with a heart and are ready to risk there lives to save others. Be it Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, Paramedics, Military or just every day citizens it's a good feeling rescuing someone and I hope everyone will be like this one day.
There should be like a weekly segment on this, across all broadcasters, for like 30mins or an hour every week. You wanna watch TV on Wednesdays at 7pm? You're gonna be watching amazing people do amazing things to help other people/beings.

I got kicked out of the zoo because a little kid dropped his toy in the aquarium so I jumped in the -10 degree water to retrieve it at the bottom, it was worth it when I saw the kids smile when I handed it back to him

I think about how horrible our world is, most of the reason why I watch these. these are actual heroes. not Superman or Spider-Man with superpowers. these are humans and even an animal saving many people that may still be alive til this day. thank you to everyone who puts their lives before others, it’s horrible to lose you but you’re a life saver and a hero and you always will be.

I gave an old lady my old refrigerator, and she cried. I gave a young girl a few bucks at a check out line because she was going to have to put back some of her groceries. I always give a pocket full of change to raggedy looking kids at vending machines. I gave a family a little firewood during a power outage.......... There is no way you can feel so good about yourself so inexpensively. Dang that's fun. There are so many small things that are "BIG' to someone else, and it's no skin off your nose.
