This show has helped me so much. When I was little, my dad died as a result of his involvement with seafaring military (the navy). Instead of Askeladd, I grew up with an abusive alcoholic stepfather. And rather than violence, I fell into drugs instead. I recently got sober and this show has been hitting me so hard on so many levels. I'm going through a lot of changes and Vinland Saga only strengthens my resolve. You can change! Even if the world is doing something messed up, you can do something different
the girl Olmar ends up with isn’t a slave. There are only 3 Slaves on Ketil’s Farm, and 4 Confirmed ones; being Thorfinn, Einar, Arnheid, and Pater being a former slave. Her dad just worked for Ketil on one of his many farms as a retainer, like a lot of the families there.
I enjoy the action of the first season I enjoyed the realistic nature of how they handled strategy and the politics reminded me of Game of Thrones. But season two brought me to tears multiple times. The philosophy being imparted elevated it to a truly great work of art. I started reading the manga and it only gets better
My floodgates nearly broke every few episodes. It really was a fantastic anime and I'm excited to see what season 3 has in store since the manga is apparently able to maintain this quality.
As someone who has watched anime for a while, I've honestly gotten to the point where I don't really feel like binging shows that much. I find seasonal anime a lot easier to get into because its just one watch per week of the show, and if you watch multiple seasonal anime, that's more than enough. For me, its more satisfying to dissect one episode weekly than force myself to watch an entire anime as fast as possible and then have nothing to do afterwards.
Yeah I get ya. I'm definitely going to test it out on a couple of anime going forward. I've also had some anime like Mushi-shi and Mononoke where I broke them up into little chunks as binging them would definitely ruin them.
I started to shit perspective on Ketil much earlier than others. Knowing about how to integrate your shadow self and just understanding the psychology behind being who you truly are as an individual it just becomes VERY clear VERY early that Ketil didn't put in that interpersonal work. Which to not do this isn't a crime and really, so long as it only affects the one who didn't do the work, I don't think most people care if another does this or not. However with Ketil, he has social and political status, others lives and livelihoods depend on him and his farm and he didn't do that interpersonal work. When you don't you will let all sorts of outside factors become excuses for poor behaviors and choices. Which is exactly what you see happen with Ketil started episode 12 onward. The man is a coward of the highest order, too afraid to even face the darkest parts of himself to better understand himself and become who he wanted to be and the man we saw was the man you get in those situations and it really fucked over a lot of people in the process. FUCK KETIL.
He had to live up to the lie. His pride drove him to that mental state, and also fostered by the Bravado and "Warrior-ness" of his son gave off. Remember, he was a slave owner. Capable slaves(ie Slaves who choose not to escape but can, escape if they wanted.), he was aware of that and he prepared for that too, ergo Snake et al , my point, he was a figure of refuge, otherwise some farmers may have been even torturing their slaves. But Thorfinn and people like Einar were in an environment close to a "new and Better life" and not exploitative(forcing Thorfinn to become their spy or an assistance into creating materials for war). At least let's praise Ketil for that and be thankful. He could have been the worst person. Let's not rush into conclusions about people based on our personal biases.
@@UnathiGX Oh absolutely he started the anime as a good guy. But he really screwed up later on and for some people, they won't be able to forgive him. I don't think Ketil will be able to forgive himself either for what happened to Arnheid.
@@liamnidas I suppose then that, this aspect or the section of the anime is supposed to trigger these types of conversations where we ask the question: "What really is "Good" and what really is "Bad" at least in the context we are presented with(The farm and it's transformation)". I think the answer is, "We don't know!"....like how we may have fallen in love with Snake(Symbolic of Mystery and charm), and how we may have wanted more of his story and journey but did not get and yet we were somewhat satisfied with what we got. But because we are uncomfortable with not knowing, we tend to undermine the power of our preferences. Personal preference governs each and everyone. ....I Shall resign after this...😁
@@UnathiGX I completely agree. Plus I'm pretty sure one of the core aspects of Vinland Saga is forgiveness so perhaps we're also invited to forgive Ketil too.
Great video but two notes. 1) Einar is not really English. He is Danish. He was born and raised un England but his family were Danes living in the Danelaw which was terrritory ruled by Danes. That's why he has no trouble communicating with Thorfinn or anyone else on the far. His first language is Danish, though Arneid notes that his accent is a bit strange. 2) The girl thag Ketil's son was sleeping with is not a slave. She is a farmhand. Her parents are tenants living on Ketil's land.
Technically, Einar is English. Being born and raised in England makes him English, regardless of his parents nationality. It also benefits the story that Einar is English, otherwise certain scenes like the one where he says 'there's no difference between the English and the Danes' wouldn't make sense. Since it would be a Danish guy (Einar) comparing a bunch of Danish people (Ketil's farm) to other Danish people (the people he worked with as a kid). This story also benefits from having an English character since Canute is the King of Denmark and England. It makes sense to have an English character's perspective on not just this but the invasions of England. The writer for Vinland Saga was just clever enough to find a way to get an English character who could also speak Danish. Lastly, Einar himself refers to himself as being English and from Northern England. He's able to speak both languages too. This may come across as a weird comparison but is Paul Rudd American or English? His parents are both English but he himself was born and raised in America and is only ever referred to as American. It's possible that I only think Einar is English due to my own ancestry, but it's very common for English people to have Scandinavian ancestors. I just consider Einar to be the first generation of English with that. At least in his own village. For your second point, I think you're right. I just missed it and came to my own wrong conclusion.
Just an fyi a lot of the core staff from S1 worked on S2 so there was never a question that the show would drop in quality and S3 is pretty much confirmed
Great analysis and love giving your detailed perspective about an anime you used to consider average to one of the best. I would add one thing to yout analysis. Technically season 2 is season 1. Season 1 is a Prologue.
from what i've heard: season 2 was originally animated by wit, but the studio faced financial troubles when they're halfway through. so mappa reached out to them and let the team transfer there. it's made by mostly the same people under a different studio
Yeah I'd heard that it was a similar team but I didn't realise that it was due to financial issues. Fortunately, it seems Wit have been able to rectify their issues, and I wouldn't be surprised if we get more collabs with other studios like SpyxFamily.
W vid the only thing I didn’t like about s2 was the drawn out arnheid + gardar arc w/ the sappy piano music, was much better paced in manga but other than that I feel like it was a perfect adaptation
Yeah I can understand not enjoying the first one. It's very different to the two openings in the first season. It would be like if they got Tk from ling tosite sigure to sing the next Kaguya sama opening. For some people, it would probably be too different a vibe.
This anime is so goofy it had me laughing throughout with it's cartoony goofy combat and portrayal of emotions. In its rare moments of the anime getting me engaged (mostly just the bigger battles where actual strategy is used) (People watch this kind of stuff for the medevil fights, obviously)
Just finished this season last week i have to say this is a masterpiece s1 had no character development just thorffin like a walking zombie hell bent on revenge this time we see the actual thorffin we deserved.
I watched the original anime and enjoyed it. But I'm definitely going to read the manga at some point. I've seen enough of the CGI to know that I'm not watching that anime ever.
@@liamnidasThe new “adaption” (which is CGI like you said) isn’t even all that Manga accurate either. The 1997 anime is incredible, it covers the Golden Age Arc which is essentially the “prologue” of Berserk. The manga arc is genuinely considered to be one of the best arcs in manga as well. But even the 1997 anime had to cut important parts of it the manga had. Including a lot of Guts’ childhood which is way more fucked up and traumatic than the anime, which greatly explains why he’s much more of a jerk at the start of the Golden Age Arc and you can hardly blame him. Keep in mind when you start you’ll be in the “black swordsman arc” which actually takes place after the Golden Age Arc, before we get an arc long flashback to the Golden Age. Guts will be quite unlikable in the first arc, much like Thorfinn, but don’t worry he develops (as expected of good stories). My only critique of the story is it can get a little too weirdly fanservicey at times, but it’s still one of the best manga I’ve read.
@@liamnidas it’s a depressing and grueling story. Often with very disturbing imagery. But it makes sense. Berserk is all about highlight the absolute WORST aspects of humanity without sugar coating it whatsoever. They use demons especially to highlight these “dark parts of humanity”. But it always has these small incredible glimmers of hope and the good side of humanity. But it ultimately is about struggling and fighting to find peace despite how disgusting humans are. Which is Gut’s journey. His arc is on par with Thorfinn’s in my opinion (although many consider Guts to be better, but I read Vinland after Berserk so I probably have some recency bias). I’d love to watch some videos about it by you if you end up liking the manga and read it!
@@mrman696 I'm sure I'll read it and if I do I'm sure I'll make some videos on it. Especially as I've seen the original anime so I can compare to that too. If it's anywhere near as good as Thorfinn's journey then I'm sure that I'll love it.
I don’t know why you think Canute was not well liked. He was called Canute the great and peacefully ruled a massive territory. His sons just couldn’t keep up so the empire fell apart
I read somewhere that Canute's bones were dug up and then people peed on them to show their hate for him. However, after googling it, I can't find that anywhere so I'm probably getting him confused with a different king.
It depends on your tastes, but I just watched an anime on Netflix called Mononoke. It's a horror anime that's split into five chunks: 2 episodes then 3 then 2 then 2 then 3. It's one of the most unique looking anime I've ever seen and the animation is really good. It's getting a film sequel soon.
Yeah it's pretty awesome though I will say dorfen speech to draught and the royal guard in the dub was a little disappointing I think they fumbled the translation and the words just don't roll out as nicely as they do in the sub. But honestly that's just kind of nitpicky.
So, just gonna mention, I don't think you can count censorship as a negative on the anime. I never saw that censorship. So it must have been added in by whatever service you were using to watch it. Crunchyroll UK, I didn't see any of the censorship you mentioned.
I watched it on Netflix but the clips that Crunchyroll have been posting to RUclips also have the censorship. It's very minor so it's possible you didn't notice, but visceral wounds are usually blackened out so you can't actually see the detail such as when Gardar rips a man's throat out.
@@liamnidas Thats not censorship. Thats why I didn't notice it. Thats exceptionally common in most anime and is nothing to do with censorship or limiting gore and is purely down to animation/drawing time. Unless its a hyper relevant point, all injuries are either drawn in such a way that your never looking directly into the wound, or the wound is basically shadowed. They don't know it because trying to draw that stuff to be realistic is an insane time dump thats ultimately not worth when the same effect can be gained via blood spray. Censorship would be them not showing Gardar sinking his teeth into someone flesh, biting it, ripping it out and spitting out a chunk of blood and flesh whilst the other guy grasps at his throat now spewing blood. Calll it lazy drawing, cost cutting, a sign on a rushed schedule if you must. But to say its censorship is incorrect because that is absolutely not the reason its been done like that.
@@GamerFlair I'm still 90% certain that it is censorship because usually these moments will have the blackness removed in the Blu-ray/DVD release. In fact, I think Vinland Saga season one didn't appear censored because it released on Amazon Prime and they used the DVD version.
I think aot is the best written manga/anime just because how nicely everything connects and how unique the ideas are. But in saying that... Vinland Saga is by far the best if you're talking about character progression and overarching morality. Very nice video.
Attack on Titan is definitely a story driven anime/manga whereas Vinland Saga is character driven. Personally, characters matter more to me than story which is why I loved Vinland Saga so much. But Attack on Titan's story is really good and it is well written and unique.
@@arcaneknight9799 It really is one of the best anime ever made. I'm so glad that it was Studio Bones that got their hands on it and it didn't go through what One Punch Man did.
I disagree about binging it would ruined the series because I did it on both seasons and actually enjoyed season 2 than 1, even if I watch weekly there isn’t really any difference on however you watch it. Season 1 - 7.7/10 Season 2 - 9/10
That's interesting. I've been trying weekly on a few anime this season to see if I prefer it. I'm glad to know that Vinland Saga season 2 is exceptional whether you binge it or not.
I did watch on Netflix but there was censorship. The biggest example would be the scene where Oddny's dads hands have been cut off. There are noticeable black blobs where his hands should be. It's the scene where Olmar realises that fighting is bad.
I get why you dislike Ketil but I found him a really poignant and great character for the story. An excellent contrast to Thorfinn and a tragic counterpoint. Ketil exists to show us how a good man turns bad because he pursues the wrong things. How things can end badly no matter how well you follow society's rules. Thorfinn shows us how a bad person can turn good by pursuing the right things. How things can end well even if it means going against society in the process.
I completely agree with you. I think Ketil was a great character. And I like that the anime lets the viewer decide whether he's actually a bad or good man. But for me, he did something unforgiveable at the end.
I recently finished The Final Season Part 2. I don't like Attack on Titan as much as everyone else but it is really good. Especially Season 3 Part 2. And The Final Season Part 2.
@@liamnidas Trust me, everyone gains their love for the show during the rewatch. You’re gonna pick up on so many subtle dialogues, foreshadowing, and information they hid under your nose the first watch, and it’s gonna come together in a beautiful way. What I like about the story is there is truly no right side, and everyone has their justifications for why things ended up like they did.
@@deeegeeekay As soon as the anime finishes, I'm planning on re-watching it. I initially watched the dub for this one so I'm going to go with the Japanese on the re-watch. Looking forward to seeing all the foreshadowing.
@@liamnidas Oh yeah, the Japanese voice acting has a lot more emotion behind it in my opinion, and if you use the correct subtitles, the foreshadowing and dialogue is even more impressive. Dub makes AOT sound like mediocre writing due to the fake emotion behind the voice and cheesy lines, but it’s far from mediocre.
@@deeegeeekay A few of the voices in the dub are really good like Levi and Erwin. And the moment where Armin gets eaten in episode 5 is literally the only time I've got goosebumps watching anything. But I do really enjoy Japanese voice acting and generally nowadays if there's an anime I'm really interested in I choose to watch the sub. So there's a good chance that I'll prefer it. Although I do know that some scenes are really popular in the dub such as Armin being eaten and Erwin's last march.
It wasn't anything serious, just excitement about seeing an English character in an anime. It's nice to have representation in foreign media. Same way how a lot of Brits have really grown attached to Hobie Brown from Across the Spider-verse. If Einar sucked as a character then I wouldn't have liked him even if he was English. And even though I did like him a lot, Thorfinn was still my favourite character this season.
@@yoloswaggins7121 That would still make him English though. It just means that he has Danish ancestry. It was just a way for the writer to cleverly explain why an English guy can talk with the Danish characters. Plus Einar refers to himself as English and it improves the story if Einar is English. As Canute is King of Denmark and England so you would want to have a character who could act as an Englishman's perspective. Also scenes like the one where Einar says 'there's no difference between the English and Danish' wouldn't make sense as it would be a Danish guy (Einar) comparing Danish people (Ketil's farm) to other Danish people (his farm). Also, is someone like Paul Rudd actually English? He was born and raised in America but both of his parents are English. He refers to himself as American and is considered by everyone to be American. If Paul Rudd is American, then Einar is English.
@@hish33p32 Yeah definitely. I am going to start reading manga eventually. I'll probably start with Berserk since everyone loves that manga. And then I'll move onto Tokyo Ghoul since the anime reportedly butchered everything. I have this funny feeling that when I read Tokyo Ghoul, Studio Pierrot or another studio will end up making Tokyo Ghoul Brotherhood.
@@liamnidas What i mean by missing out is that most anime tend to remove or leave scenes out due to various reasons like censoship, and Vinland Saga is no exception, it even went the chronological route and started with Thors instead of what the manga did, in which chapter 1 scene is left for later until episode 7, I don't know why they did that, but i feel like that's what held the popularity back, back then because some tend to drop an anime within 3 episodes
@@hish33p32 That's actually a really good point. Although it does go both ways. I think the first episode of Vinland Saga season 2 featured a lot of anime original content. But yeah, you're right. That's something I completely forgot about.
Based on these two seasons I think Vinland Saga is the best written anime I've ever seen. If it continues this quality then it will remain perfection but if it drops in quality then I'll be disappointed. However, that won't change the fact that season one and two were great.
I need to watch the second season but Made in Abyss is fantastic. I won't lie it took about ten episodes for me to get into the show but the last three of season one were phenomenal. And the film was masterful. Bondrewd is one of my favourite anime characters ever.
@@liamnidas yeah it really is. Season 2 goes atleast as dark if not darker than season 1 and the movie. Just started berserk last night.
Since Season 3 is announced we will get to see the personification of Thorfinn past and why he's trying to atone his sins even by sacrificing his life... "Hild"
Are you people getting paid to say crap like that? I finished the second season yesterday and it was one of the most nonsensical and boring season I have ever watched of any anime to my memory. When I hear people say crap like VS being a master piece of the best written anime, I get reminded on shonen fans who would say the same for their overrated piece of trash. When the guy convinced Canute, a guy who poisoned his own brother so he could achieve his goals, to leave farm and change ways by saying he would run away, I burst out laughing. The guy doesn't even think about his mother and sister. Just like he didn't give shit in S1, he would rather be a slave, chop wood, or be sliced to death by bullies than to actually run away, which he could have done million times, and be with his family and live in peace on Iceland. The guy even said that he had no good thing happen to him in his life. WTF? He spat in the face of his mother, sister, Leif, and other good people who care for him. And of course, his BS nonsensical philosophy which cannot be realistically applied. The guy could have saved lives of innocent people, but he would rather not hurt bad people... Do you remember the episode when his ear was sliced off? He wanted to give his life for Einer's life. But any person with common sense would know that he couldn't trust those people who would kill defenseless slaves in cold blood could be trusted. He even asked Einer can people change. Wait, what? Yes, they can. That's common sense. We have a main character who fails at common sense. What an overrated piece of trash.
People aren't all the same and Thorfinn has been shaped by his experiences. Just because people can change doesn't mean that they will. Also, he knows that they can't be trusted but what else can he do. That was all he could do now that he was an empty vessel. Vinland Saga is a masterpiece because of how it writes Thorfinn's change and his character growth. He starts out as this angry little kid murdering his way across the world. But then he finds it leaves him unfulfilled, especially when the reason for his descent into murder, Askeladd, is killed before he can kill him. With his purpose gone, he sees no point in living and exists only to exist. Hence why he doesn't care if he dies. He questions whether people can change because he's been around people like Askeladd who never changed. You say that he spits in the face of his family, but he was six when left them. He can barely remember them and his time with them is shorter than his time with Askeladd. he wanted to kill Askeladd more than he wanted to be with his family so of course he doesn't even consider what they did for him. He then chooses to become a better person and he has the necessary acquired skills from his years of murder to beat people without killing them. Also, you say it's common sense that people can change. You will be very surprised to know that a lot of people think you can't change. There's even a saying for that sentiment: 'A leopard can't change its spots.'
@@liamnidas Quite the opposite. How it writes it is bad writing. In S1 you have scenes which directly challenge his revenge motivation or set condition which should shake him or bring him into doubt, but all of that is ignored, which means it is irrelevant to the plot. You can't have a scene, like inner dialogs he has with his death father which tells him to go home which contradicts his revenge thing, and literally nothing do with it. You can remove and it nothing would have changed. In S2, his change didn't make sense, for the previous reason. We are to expect that the guy who didn't care about who many people he killed or that he directly keep contradicting what his father stood for, all of the sudden cares so much that he turned complete 180? You have to build that, not just to make a jump. His whole motivation is nonsensical, because writing is so bad. Thors tells his son not to seek revenge. Thorfinn seeks revenge. But he doesn't want to get rid of Askeladd in his sleep, because he is a "Thors' son." He is appealing to the honor of his own father, the very one he literally contradicts. So the whole story is based on "I am not going to listen to what my father wants, but I will do this, what my father explicitly doesn't want me to do, because....my father!" That is a terrible writing. How can he barely remember them? He knows for a fact that he has family. He doesn't have to remember their faces in order to know that he has a loving family who needs him and who loves him. Secondly. You are jumping years in the future. The guy didn't care for his family a few years into being an Askeladd's dog. Remember that scene with that grandma? He remembered them, but then just didn't care and moved on with being Askeladd's dog. Then later, in S2, the guy said nothing good happened to him being alive. So by that reasoning, his loving family was not a good thing which happened to him. That is spitting in their face, 100%. The guy was willing to serve as a slave instead of to escape and go back to his loving family and there live in peace and practice his pacifism. His character arc makes no sense. Yes. That's common sense. No one who is right in the head doesn't know or think that people can't change. He literally changed as a kid as some point, then he changed again. But I guess he isn't right in the head...
Experiencing this show week to week was one the best experiences I’ve ever had with any media. It made me reflect and appreciate the story and journey even more. I feel like I grew and changed with Thorfinn and Einar.

FUCK KETIL.
Yeah he really dropped the ball
That's good. I'm glad that the anime was able to maintain its quality from season 1 to 2. Also, yeah it looks like we should receive a third season.
Great analysis and love giving your detailed perspective about an anime you used to consider average to one of the best. I would add one thing to yout analysis. Technically season 2 is season 1. Season 1 is a Prologue.
Subbed btw. Looking forward to more content
Thanks for the sub. Really appreciate it. Glad you could understand my perspective.
Crazy how my favorites are also Vinland Saga and Mob Psycho
They're both phenomenal anime
from what i've heard: season 2 was originally animated by wit, but the studio faced financial troubles when they're halfway through. so mappa reached out to them and let the team transfer there. it's made by mostly the same people under a different studio
Yeah I'd heard that it was a similar team but I didn't realise that it was due to financial issues. Fortunately, it seems Wit have been able to rectify their issues, and I wouldn't be surprised if we get more collabs with other studios like SpyxFamily.
I came here to give it a like cause that's facts
Thank you
I do both: weekly watching on sub, the whole thing on dub afterwards. Of course, that is if the show was good enough to warrant it.
I may start doing that
What a Poetic Commentary!
Thank you
W vid the only thing I didn’t like about s2 was the drawn out arnheid + gardar arc w/ the sappy piano music, was much better paced in manga but other than that I feel like it was a perfect adaptation
I would sort of agree with that actually. I did really like this part of the season but I do think that it was maybe drawn out just a tad.
Snake is my fav character of s2 also, him and Thors are so goated despite the limited screen time
Completely agree. Snake showed so much character in such a short amount of time.
Great Video.
Thank you very much
I loved the 2nd opening and was not a fan of the 1st one but I completely understand your opinion. Great video!
Yeah I can understand not enjoying the first one. It's very different to the two openings in the first season. It would be like if they got Tk from ling tosite sigure to sing the next Kaguya sama opening. For some people, it would probably be too different a vibe.
You should listen the op 1 and 4 with lyrics the scream makes a lot of sense is like thorfinn singing the song
I'll do that. Might give me greater appreciation for the songs.
I think Attack On Titan is still the best written show for me but Vinland Saga is a close second. I can’t wait for season 3
Yeah, I'm hyped. I love this anime.
😂😂😂 aot really
This anime is so goofy it had me laughing throughout with it's cartoony goofy combat and portrayal of emotions. In its rare moments of the anime getting me engaged (mostly just the bigger battles where actual strategy is used) (People watch this kind of stuff for the medevil fights, obviously)
Some people do. I enjoyed it for Thorfinn's character progression.
Just finished this season last week i have to say this is a masterpiece s1 had no character development just thorffin like a walking zombie hell bent on revenge this time we see the actual thorffin we deserved.
Absolutely. Thorfinn has some of the best character development I've ever seen, and I can't wait to see where he and Einar go in future seasons.
“That’s why I made the decision to watch season 2 weekly” 😂😂
Vinland Saga claimed me for half a year.
Everything you said I feel the exact same way
It really is a fantastic anime
Also read Bersek, definitely read, do not watch the anime. If you like well written stories and characters like Vinland saga then you’ll love it.
@@mrman696 You've definitely sold me on it.
Im so glad I watched peak fiction week to week:))
Was definitely the way to enjoy it
I don’t know why you think Canute was not well liked.
Fmabh is still my favorite but I do agree with ur title
Fmab is definitely up there. Still one of my top ten.
Best farming arc 👌
Absolutely
Nuclear man will probably be season 4. ;)
Yeah you're right I think I skipped an arc by mistake
Agreed and the Manga is even better
It's great to see Vinland Saga get the recognition that it deserves.
I'm stuck watching week to week any recommendations I loved Vinland saga
It depends on your tastes, but I just watched an anime on Netflix called Mononoke. It's a horror anime that's split into five chunks: 2 episodes then 3 then 2 then 2 then 3. It's one of the most unique looking anime I've ever seen and the animation is really good. It's getting a film sequel soon.
Yeah it's pretty awesome though I will say dorfen speech to draught and the royal guard in the dub was a little disappointing I think they fumbled the translation and the words just don't roll out as nicely as they do in the sub. But honestly that's just kind of nitpicky.
I haven't seen either of the dubs for this but that's a shame if true. Hopefully the rest of the dub was good though.
So, just gonna mention, I don't think you can count censorship as a negative on the anime.
I never saw that censorship. So it must have been added in by whatever service you were using to watch it. Crunchyroll UK, I didn't see any of the censorship you mentioned.
Where the hell did you watch it then?? I can't find the uncensored version anywhere.
I didn't see the censorship either!
Canute isnt antagonist by the end of it
It seems like they're transforming his character continuously.

Mob Psycho 100 is just so unique and Vinland Saga is just so captivating from a writing perspective.

Season 2 of Vinland Saga was fantastic! That being said, nothing tops the emotional impact of One Piece for me.
I need to start watching that. I will definitely get round to it soon.
I disagree about binging it would ruined the series because I did it on both seasons and actually enjoyed season 2 than 1, even if I watch weekly there isn’t really any difference on however you watch it.
Season 1 - 7.7/10
Season 2 - 9/10
That's interesting. I've been trying weekly on a few anime this season to see if I prefer it. I'm glad to know that Vinland Saga season 2 is exceptional whether you binge it or not.
What did he mean censorship? Is he not watching on Netflix?
But for me, he did something unforgiveable at the end.
there was only one boring episode and it was actually one of the only episodes with fighting it suprisingly thats how could season 2 story is
One of the few times you get annoyed that fighting is getting in the way of talking
Madoka Magica for me
An excellent anime. One of the few good horror anime out there.
I love this anime but have you seen Attack on Titan tho…
Subconsciously rooting for Einar because he's English is a bit weird lol.
Why?
@@davidclout6286 I feel like a large point the anime makes is that it's about what a person is like and not where he's from.
@@liamnidas He's not actually English. He is Danish. He was born to Danish parents living in the Danelaw in England.

Fly is a top 10 episode so yeah I’d agree

@@liamnidas What i mean by missing out is that most anime tend to remove or leave scenes out due to various reasons like censoship, and Vinland Saga is no exception, it even went the chronological route and started with Thors instead of what the manga did, in which chapter 1 scene is left for later until episode 7, I don't know why they did that, but i feel like that's what held the popularity back, back then because some tend to drop an anime within 3 episodes

I can't wait for season 3. It's gonna be great.
But he doesn't want to get rid of Askeladd in his sleep, because he is a "Thors' son."
He is appealing to the honor of his own father, the very one he literally contradicts.
