If you're gonna watch The X Factor, I would highly recommend NOT watching the actual full episodes individually, and instead just watch these "bad/worst/funny audition compilations" by Andrew Penny.
They aren't your typical "jump-cut/jarring" style edits either, these actually blend quite seamlessly together. Kinda feels like you're watching a special-made featurette (I suppose similar to the TV Burp Gold DVDs, where they just have the funniest moments and bits etc.). The length of them varies slightly, but they're roughly about 1-1.5hrs long for each series.
It completely flips the feel of the show on its head, and gets rid of that overdramatic/seriousness vibe, and actually transforms it into something fairly entertaining. It kinda gives me Impractical Jokers vibes, you know like when the guys(or in this case the judges) are trying not to laugh at someone doing something serious (like singing lmao), and their reactions/laughter are quite contagious at times! 😂

It's become standard in competition shows to treat it as life or death with moody lights and big chanting choirs after Simon brought it in with X Factor, then supersized it until it became a parody of itself. When it does get parodied, it almost always had the actual voice over man Peter Dickson, because he's a good sport. Or as he'd put it: "HE IS! A GREAT! SPORT! PETER! DICKSON!!"

He also played a side character in Xenoblade Chronicles (ironically, not the one also named Dickson), and I didn't realise it was the same guy until he delivered a line like his X Factor reels in his final cutscene (#76 "Shackles Released" at about 4:20 if you were curious).
