My sincerest condolences to Dana on the loss of his son. That is an unimaginable heartbreak that no parent should ever have to suffer. Thinking of you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.
Truly heartbreaking news. So sorry Dana. I feel like I've gotten to know the family with all their input in your various podcasts over the years. Dax will be missed. Wishing you and your family all the peace you can have. Take all the time you need, fans will be waiting patiently for you.
In the middle of this podcast, I heard that Mr. Carvey lost his son, Dex. I am so very sorry. Listening to the podcast, listeners feel a more personal connection to Mr. Carvey and Mr. Spade and we have heard many stories about Mr. Carvey's family. The pride and love for his sons is very apparent. Sending healing thoughts to your families as you deal with this loss.
About to listen to this episode but on the off chance that Dana reads these comments, I just want to extend my condolences to Dana, his wife and family. I cannot fathom the loss of a child. I am sending up prayers of comfort and strength for all of Dex’s loved ones…may he rest in eternal peace.
My heart aches for you and yours, Dana. I'm praying for peace as you grieve. You have brought such joy to this world through your gifts. I pray you receive love and comfort from the countless who love you.
Eric is insane!! Crazy funny!! Watching this channel makes me regret not trying to pursue a career in comedy....LOL. Maybe by now, I could've been a guest on the show? Not!!....LOL. Takes a lot to pursue it like they always reflect.
Great guest guys. Very funny and entertaining. I'm probably just farting in the wind here because why would you guys bother to actually read these comments. I'm sure you have better things to do. But I laughed a lot during this episode. Eric Andre is actually a very sweet person with a great twisted sense of humor.
Here in Kansas City on the same weekend that Tim Meadows came by, Eric Andre was also performing as was Mad TV's Aries Spears. What's interesting is that Eric performed the day after Bob Dylan in the same venue. October 1st and 2nd was Bob Dylan and October 3rd was Eric Andre at the Midland Theater in Kansas City. Meanwhile Tim Meadows was that same weekend at the Kansas City Comedy Club. Aries Spears was at a totally different club in North Kansas City.
Christ have mercy im so sorry Dana. Just listened to this episode yesterday on my podcast player and just now heard the bad news. By the way, this may be my favorite interview you guys did. It wasnt all snl and i wasnt even a huge Eric Andre fan
Honestly these episodes would be better if they weren't just audio recorded but video recorded especially for a guest like Eric Andre but just in general I also think they'll have thousands of more RUclips subscribers if they had video
yeah im not even going to listen to this even though this would be a top tier video podcast episode. already bored 3 minutes in just looking at the comments
Dana, I'm sad to hear about your son passing. I wish I had the words that would comfort you and your family. Maybe just know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.
If a good career is all somebody wants then that should be good enough too. Not everybody NEEDS to have someone to love . There’s more than one form of life.
Hey Dana, you're great except when you start talking about your obsession with money and people's net worth. Greed, lack of self awareness and selfishness is not a good look for you.😬
They're very vain. They don't like seeing themselves on camera or showing themselves. They think they look old and scruffy. Dana thinks this especially. They don't want to have to comb their hair and shave. They want to just look like they fell out of bed, and they can't do that if they put themselves on video. That's my theory.
SNL should do a few specials in the off season. Bring back the late 80'-90's era cast for a show. I'm sure all of them would be down. Dedicate it to cast members no longer with us. Do a 70's era show. Early 2000s show. Mix and match. Show this new cast how it's done.
"I'm sure all of them would be down". LOL! You don't know them, dude. You can't be sure about a group of people you don't actually know. "Show this new cast how it's done", yeah let's upstage still developing cast members on what could be their only big break, because Eddie Murphy could really use the help. Either way the jist of what you want is already covered with Anniversary specials & returning cast member host.
@N313GrayFox look at this podcast and everyone on it. And all the others that do the same thing. They all talk about their time on snl more than they do anything new. You don't think they'd all be willing to show up to do a special? They show up for anniversaries. Or is Mike Myers, Kevin Nealon, Dana carvey, Tim meadows, etc all busy working on their new blockbuster movies coming out? The new cast sucks. I dont care what they end up doing. I would rather watch a show that's actually funny and entertaining than give untalented "comedians" a participation trophy. And an anniversary show is just a party where they talk about the good ol days when snl was funny. I'm talking about an actual show.
@@raphaelturtle4146No one else knows what it feels like to be SNL cast memebers except SNL cast memebers. If you listen to this podcast, the solidarity they have just from once being in each other's shoes should be obvious: the immense stress and anxiety of putting on a weekly show, the fear of getting fired for not having a good season, not sure being where your career is going after the fact. Which is why is so incredibly silly to think these same people who talk about their glory days on SNL (and make podcast about it) would be so quick to throw new people under the bus and steal their glory days just because you feel petty.
@N313GrayFox you are crazy passionate and aggressive about something you have 0 stake in lol. What are you in the new cast? One of your unfunny relatives? 🤣. Relax psycho. if one show a year in the off season puts any of the regular cast members out of a job on snl (not like they can't do ANYTHING else) then they must not be very good, huh?
Words cannot express how much I feel at this devastating time for you and your family Dana. Prayers and God Bless.
My sincerest condolences to Dana on the loss of his son. That is an unimaginable heartbreak that no parent should ever have to suffer. Thinking of you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.
Yes yes yes!! Thank you David and Dana for having Eric. Huge huge fan....obsessed with his show!
Love Eric.
So chill and down to Earth, and would make a kickass SNL host
I feel very strongly that Eric and David are going to become very good friends
Never expected this, but I’m totally here for it. Eric Andre and Fly On The Wall? Couldn’t ask for more. Cast him in the Joe Dirt sequel!
Truly heartbreaking news. So sorry Dana. I feel like I've gotten to know the family with all their input in your various podcasts over the years. Dax will be missed. Wishing you and your family all the peace you can have. Take all the time you need, fans will be waiting patiently for you.
This was one of the better episodes
Eric was awesome
My heart breaks for Dana ❤. Sending lots of love to both Dana, his family, and David
Yesss vibez🙌🏽from Eric Andre for my guys to have comedic jazz with. That jazz college came in clutch af.

Oh man Dana,,,,,,,,, SO sorry for your loss,,, just terrible...
Great episode.
Also condolences to Dana.
My heart aches for you and yours, Dana. I'm praying for peace as you grieve. You have brought such joy to this world through your gifts. I pray you receive love and comfort from the countless who love you.
I cannot express my heart felt sympathy I feel for you and your family or understand what you are going through.
Love and prayers
RIP Dex.
Dana and family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. Keeping you all in my prayers.
Eric Andre is the best
I'm so sorry Dana.
“This is being dropped on the Ukraine … as a gift” - god, Spade is good. The asides, the throwaways - Jesus
Came here for Eric and Carvey, Never heard of the spade guy before but he's pretty funny too 🙌😎
Eric is insane!! Crazy funny!!

Dana's Jerry Seinfeld impression gets me every time. 😂
Good stuff as always 👍

First, yes for the first time in EVER, I freaking ween. Eric Andre is great, very underrated and a bright dude it seems like.
Great episode!

I am sorry for your loss.
10:12 I require a 10 minute breakdown of David and Eric just shredding the Seinfeld baseline without a bass
OMG - Dana did you say Yamahopped? That was a little motorbike when I was in high school (early.mid 80;s) and I drove a Yamahopper :-)
Christ have mercy im so sorry Dana. Just listened to this episode yesterday on my podcast player and just now heard the bad news.

My prayers to Dana and his wife 🙏🙏🙏

Dana, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your son.
7:37 alright! Complete sentences from Eric Andre!
I hurt for. you Dana! Just wanted to send some love...
Damn. Eric has been funny in a different way on every show (Conan, Blocks…ok and this)
Eric is hilarious
Some people’s apparent NEED for video in order to enjoy this hilarious episode has me scratching my head.
you cant spell American nightmare without m night
The impacted feces thing was John Wayne
Best most relevant and relatable episode ever....if being real is gay, lube me up.
Dana, I'm sad to hear about your son passing. I wish I had the words that would comfort you and your family. Maybe just know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for turning me on to dumb ideas
I’m so sorry Dana
Sorry for your loss and your families loss.
Even Dana I think would benefit more with video he's a very eccentric person
currently no girlfriend , no kids and happy as hell doing my art thing alone...find what works for you and own it.
So sorry about you son Dana!
❤
Come and get sum
Two words.
Bird up!
Lmao 😊
NEEED VIDEO ON ALL EPISODES
SNL passed on Eric Andre? ...hmmm
come and get suuuuuum
If a good career is all somebody wants then that should be good enough too. Not everybody NEEDS to have someone to love .
There’s more than one form of life.
More like, "Blind Fly on the Wall", due to the lack of any video.
Hey Dana, you're great except when you start talking about your obsession with money and people's net worth. Greed, lack of self awareness and selfishness is not a good look for you.😬
This was bar none, the hardest episode for me to get into, solely due to the guest.
Very much not interesting or really that funny.
Hey, David Spade, stop using the Lord‘s name in vain. Quit saying GD.
Do we want this podcast to fail? Why no video?
They're very vain. They don't like seeing themselves on camera or showing themselves. They think they look old and scruffy. Dana thinks this especially. They don't want to have to comb their hair and shave. They want to just look like they fell out of bed, and they can't do that if they put themselves on video.
That's my theory.
It’s our glory hole podcast

love this, so fun
