Awesome clown loach. If you ever have problems with lil snails in your tanks they are the perfect solution to get rid of them with out having to salt your tanks.

You need return to that canal. Those clown loaches are 2 months old at best
That means there are breeders and clown loaches school so likely many many more clown loaches to be caught from that canal

First up kudos to the camera operator they do a good job and are hopefully being payed in some way. As for the spotted fish that is a pretty rare find. Its a Leopard Bush Fish otherwise known as a Spotted Leaf Fish (Ctenopoma Acutirostre). Provided it's quarantined and fully disease free it would make a rare addition to the Discus tank. As for the Gourami don't quote me but I think they are Moonlight Gourami. Good idea setting up a quarantine tank. Make sure you medicate against all possible diseases and give the fish about 4 weeks before adding them to the discus tank. It would be a crying shame if anything happened to those amazing discus. Happy fishing Rob.

I agree with this comment. Keep up the great job and Camera girl, you Rock! As a woman myself and a person who hung out and had everything in common with a certain guy back in the 80s, I wish you the best. FYI.... that guy and I just had our 35th wedding anniversary and still do everything together. We are best friends ❤️ still after all these years.

Really nice that you both went out to catch fish on such an inclement day. So cool seeing all the variety of fish that you catch and the really cool unknown fish to. But the best part of this group of people is that they are wicked smart and usually know the answer of, "what kind of fish is this?" Thank for all you do. Aces to your deuces.

Hi 'Rob, The blotchy banded fish you catch near the beginning is Leopard Ctenopoma - Bush fish (Ctenopoma acutirostre). The "Eel" fish are Kuhli loach. The Bush fish is the star, I love them. The Quarantine tank is a great idea. You should have a "keepers" tank where you hold fish that you would like to keep in the short term. You find some very nice stuff and always pass them on. I get the impression you are quite a cichlid fan but currently have no tank space for them. It would be great to see you keep some of the nicer cichlids. Do keep up the traps, they always provide the best finds, ok, I'm contradicting myself here, the best fish was from a net but you know what I mean, You trap some excellent stuff. Maybe run several traps for a shorter period rather than one for a very long time.

Fire ants can swim and tread water. It’s very common for them to join together into a living raft in a mass of fire ants. They were likely on top of the water where you dipped your net into the water.
