For an ideology that really tries to lift itself up above men and try to say how strong they are, they sure do love playing the victim and act like they have it sooo hard.
feminism is an ideology to be equal to men, not above. don’t speak about the ideology when you don’t even know what it is. so many things people always take one thing and twist it because they don’t want to face the truth.
@@stephanieboucher8122 aaaaand that's bigotry, thanks for the strong example. Taking a tiny minority and extrapolating out to all members of a demographic is literally the exact problem black people have with stereotyping, for example. If I see a black man rob a store and then conclude "all black men must be robbers!" that is structurally the same argument you made. But you're probably a republican troll race baiting for propaganda so people will hate the left. Both bigotry and propaganda are wrong.
I heard Lynsy sing this song on RUclips a day or so ago, I liked it, but this time I started crying, I was so moved as soon as those first two women came out in support of her. I kept crying as more and more women, and finally those sweet girls, came and stood behind her and beside her. It’s the same way I cried whenever I watched the space shuttle take off and land. It is so powerful to see this kind of expression of hope against such great odds. In one case, it is humanity reaching out to the stars in spite of all our flaws and in the face of a possible catastrophic failure, like the Challenger disaster. In the other, it is women coming together to support each other and create a different, better future, despite the blame and shame and disbelief hailing down upon them. It is the almost impossible idea that some day we may be truly free.

@@bororusrooroo8010 🤣🤣 Aye look it isn't the 60s. Women have more of a voice than men hence why we could even sing this without being yelled at by men. If women were oppressed this song wouldn't see the light of day.
I tried to proactively avoid danger all my life as a skinny boy. But by 10 I was picked on and had to physically defend myself about 6 occasions. By 25 another 10 fights at school and out clubbing. By 30 I was threatened with a knife in my local neighbourhood twice. My experience is an average experience of guys in the 90's in very safe city. All women had to put up with was verbal harassment from guys that wanted their attention. Men get physically harassed and assaulted and no one feels bad for them.
Thoroughly entertained, inspired, and enlightened all at the same time. She's got an amazing voice. But more amazing is how that voice represents half the world.
Dear Men, who's comments are starting with a woh is me life hard being a man for X, Y and Z... I'm not saying your issues arnt valid but the one she is discussing should be one thats on your radar too and you should take it personally but not offensively. It's a fact that one and six women will be sexually assaulted in her life time, thats your best friend, thats your girlfriend, thats your mom, thats your aunts. You should hear this song and be enraged that women are being so heavily victimized in this way and that the law nor the government is doing what it should to protect women from this. You should want to put a end to it just as much as women do! because you may not even know it but it probably is in your personal life its probably effected someone you know and love. In no other crime do we ignore, laugh or victim blame so often as a society, no wonder women were so scared to come out for so long. This is a mens issue too that you should be fighting for so hopefully one day your daughter, granddaughter, nieces aren't still a one in six statistic that no one cares to keep safe. Thanks for reading my letter to you :)
These comments all stem from the singers interpretation of a comment by trump and in her song it sounds like she was a dressing men instead of trump. Now, it's been blown out of proportion as some man hating song because this lady and jimmy don't know how to proof read.
*A comment from this video I think should be seen, I copied it and essentially re- posted it* Holly Mcgrath (Commented) "In my opinion it's a scary time for both men and women both have troubles and problems and all of this is just divisive. It pins men and women against each other and I don't enjoy that as a woman".
along with being able to say false accusations of sexual assault are rare and should be ignored and that males in early childhood cannot be hired or their duties are limited because of their gender.
"I can't do unsafe and irresponsible things that people of neither gender should do, I'm oppressed" Not to mention plenty of stuff she mentioned is both possible for her to do and done every day by women without consequence. Wearing a miniskirt? Really?
What's unsafe or irresponsible about leaving your windows open when home alone or living in a first-floor apartment... ? Or wearing headphones while jogging.. ?
Gin Mae It depends on where you live. If you live in a crime heavy part of a major city, leaving your windows open is extremely irresponsible. If you live in a more rural area...well, a raccoon might climb in, to say nothing of the mosquitoes in the summer.
Those are great points. She's a big city person who assumes that everyone else lives in a big city. Most of the things she mentions are reasons why people don't visit, stay out of, or move out of big cities.
You guys surely live in a dangerous area if you can't leave windows open at night or live in the first floor! Thankfully I live in a country where gender equality is taken seriously.
I bet she doesnt like it when people make fun of her when she tries to bring awareness of issues faced by women. The irony is lost on her as someone barely brought up issues faced by men and she had to immediatly bring attention back on women. Shes that girl who goes to a rally for prostate cancer and go "wHaT ABoUt brEaST CanCEr ????". Saying that boys face problems doesnt invalidate your issues. Multiple problems can exist without having to be all about you.

So damn true bro. Thats really not the point, the point is, do men constantly get told what to do with there bodies? no. Do men wake up in a society where they fear losing there rights to there bodies? no. Have men been opressed and fallen victim to stupid stereotypes for hundreds of years? no. Do men have struggles? Yes. Do Women? Yes. But from this standpoint, women had struggled for hundreds of years to simply gain our rite to vote. And it idiotic, and clearly male supremacists like you that dont realize that. (A different perspective of the video description) Today is the International Day of the Girl, of which there is no male variant. The idea of this day is to focus on female leadership to make better lives for girls. The news may have moved off of the Supreme Court confirmation business but millions of people haven’t. There’s a lot of talk about men not knowing what it’s like to be a woman but there would never be a lot of talk about women not knowing what it's like to be a man. Donald Trump said “This is a very scary time for young men” and in response to that, a teacher from Texas named Lynzy Lab wrote a song that many young men not similar to myself fear will aid in the breaking respect that men and women have between each other for the struggles they each face. The song is titled “A Scary Time”, Lynzy recorded a video of herself singing it. It is very well done and in the past few days it has racked up tens of millions of views. We invited Lynzy to come to California and perform the song here live for the first time and she graciously accepted. I'm confident yet uncertain that the path to equality is based less on the opposition of the struggles that others face to focus on your own. Instead I think it may be based more on helping others through their struggles. With your influence they may do the same for you and people like you. However, writing a song belittling what issues other people face is almost certainly not going to help anyone's struggle. Instead I can guarantee it will only cause more conflict and definitely not attract any support from people different to yourself. In addition, I believe more conflict can only mean more struggle. (Have we not learned from the wars?) I myself was rather insulted listening to Lynzy's song and as most people have learned as children in school or within our families, that is how a conflict begins.
The last part of this song feels so toxic to me. Especially with the young girls ‘oh yeah it’s not such a scary time for boys’ that’s such a bad mind set to have at such a young age.

I wouldn't say that they are saying that only men have problems. The point is that men have problems, too. Both genders have problems they must face. We need to accept this and help eacb other through our problems or we will all stay divided.
This song is so ridiculous. I’ve done all of the things she says we can’t do. Except run at night with headphones on that’s just stupid. It’s called “situational awareness” Voting doesn’t stop rapists and sexual predators.
@@jazzyknight180 It describes a great many foolhardy things to do, and then says that only women could possibly be victims of these moronic behaviors. It's nonsense.

I love how men like you have no clue because they're too feeble minded to listen or research or put any ounce of effort into empathizing with very real, pervasive issues women face in their own societies, but still have the audacity to make comments like this... Because they have no clue.
lmfao yeah well the argument that men "don't know what it's like to be a wamen" is a double-bladed knife... if men shouldn't be able to comment on or have opinions regarding the experiences of women, then the same ideology should be applied to women criticizing men. It's just as valid.
Meanwhile, this girl just wrote an entire song dismissing men's issues , telling them that it's not a scary time to be men, as if she know. That's the point.
What’s sickening to think about is all the men on the frontlines in WW1 and WW2 died for a better world and this is how we uphold their dream of a better world

Had such chills when I first heard this I stopped in my tracks. Every word is so true, everything you do as a woman is first met with the question of is this going to put me at risk? I haven’t walked outside with my mace and keys in my hand since I was 12.
Hi, I am a man. Also I am not threatened by Women who acknowledge my privilege. This is why people use the term "male fragility" because you should be able to take criticism gracefully... Making the entire universe your echo chamber is no solution
I'm a male. I recognize that females have privilege in America and Canada, as they get away with many more things, don't have as strict laws as men, have more rights, more charities, more movements, more social advantages, and when they have problems they're taken seriously and people care. "Male fragility" as you call it, isn't about men being weak, it's about shaming those who don't agree with them being privileged just because they're men.
For the people rallying against the intent of this song on the basis of Lynzy's observations being unrealistic, I say: Yeah right, I have a daughter and I warn her about pretty much all of those hazards, hating the fact that that's the reality we live in today. I recall when I was about 14 (decades ago), walking down a quiet neighborhood street in the early evening with my older sister and she noted how uncomfortable she would've felt walking in that same path at that same time of day alone. She said she understood that, as a young man, such a fear had never occurred to me but, for a woman, that sort of concern was simply a matter of reality. That really resonated with me and I've never forgotten it. So, yeah, "girls can literally do all those things" but they're not going to feel the same about doing them as a strapping young man who can benchpress a truck.
Have you actually dug into this, read the facts, and have enough to make a solid argument? Men have a bad time, they do, but I just would like to know how much info there is on this, because I can't find much about it
@@abigailmajor65 And why does this Lynzy only consider the possibility of a male criminal or perpetrator having a judge as a father? It is totally possible for a girl also to have a judge as a father as well.
You’re a moron. 🤦🏻♀️ People will be victims until the behavior stops. It isn’t what you sing, or what you wear, or where you are. Correct the behavior. Stop victim blaming
nobody’s talking about how men are more likely to be the victim of every single violent act aside sexual assault. (which, as a man who’s lived it, is something that can happen to us too.)
Actually if you factor in Prison and Statutory Rape, men do become the majority of Rape Victims as well. The CDC intentionally leave out Prison and Statutory Rape figures, when presenting statistics.
In the viral video she says to go vote at the very end. I did. I voted Trump Republican. The RIGHT choice. Thank you for enlightening me. Feels good to win.
This song pisses me off. Those last verses hit me hard. It is a scary time for men. The reason why is the word Assault. Isaac Butterfield provides great points for the wrongs and rights of this video.
Sad how these women haven't realised that the Court process is getting updated so they have a voice BUT all the false claims can make them have jail time. 👏👏👏
I believe to completely fulfill equality it's time for women between the ages of 18 to 25 to be required to, by law, register for Selective Service. It's an idea whose time has come.
the arguments against feminisim are always so dumb it makes my head hurt... By the way if your ridiculous statement was true, there would be a LOT MORE men trying to stop that then women. And men are not made to go in the military so why should women? And women can join the military if they want to. Stop trying to distract from the issue about sexual assault, your comment is completely bonkers as well as irrelevant.
Her song was a reaction to an issue that affects only men. People like her like to dismiss men's issues with the "women have it worse" narrative. We already know terrible things happen to women, but terrible things happen to men too sometimes at the hands of women.
It warms my heart and makes me hopeful for the future to see the majority of PEOPLE in this comment section aren’t buying into this crap...

Taking a tiny minority and extrapolating out to all members of a demographic is literally the exact problem black people have with stereotyping, for example.

For the people rallying against the intent of this song on the basis of Lynzy's observations being unrealistic, I say:
Yeah right, I have a daughter and I warn her about pretty much all of those hazards, hating the fact that that's the reality we live in today.
