    Fabulous---very well done indeed ! I have had the privilege of singing this wonderful composition in a very accomplished choir and know just how difficult it is. One of the greatest all-time creations. Thank you so much for your excellence.

    Oh my word... This is absolutely fantastic... I usually listen to thrash or death metal. But recent turn of events in my life has completely changed my music taste... Spem in alium nunquam habui
    Praeter in te, Deus Israel,
    Qui irasceris, et propitius eris,
    Et omnia peccata hominum
    In tribulatione dimittis.
    Domine Deus, creator caeli et terrae,
    Respice humilitatem nostram.
    I have never placed my hope
    In any other than you, God of Israel,
    Who can show both anger and graciousness
    And absolve all the sins
    of suffering man.
    Lord God, creator of Heaven and Earth
    Be mindful of our humiliation.
    Soyez conscient de notre humiliation.

    It has a Shakespearian opening: the scene is set and the gloves are off from the get-go. Buckle your seatbelt Dorothy because Kansas is going bye bye. Elizabethan rock rocks! I wonder if Tallis and Shakespeare met - what a team if they ever did.

    J'espère que cette œuvre majeure de la musique occidentale aura été un souvenir inoubliable. Par contre je sais pourquoi il ne faut jamais laisser les choristes battre la mesure ha! ha!, il n'y en a pas deux ensemble... je comprends l'intention, mais quitte a faire un geste, je trouve qu'un autre mouvement aurait été meilleur. Peut-être un geste horizontal à la mesure avec beaucoup de poids. Enfin bon, c'est un détail devant la magnificence du chant.

    • @calembourman2295
      @calembourman2295 3 года назад

      Bien d'accord, ce manque d'unité dans le geste rend visible le manque d'unité rythmique de l'ensemble, puisque les chanteurs ne semblent pas avoir le même rapport avec la pulsation. Ou bien il aurait fallu mettre tout le monde d'accord sur une technique de battue, mais ça sort du cadre de leur métier.

      @@calembourman2295 Je vous ai répondu en anglais plus bas, mais ce sera plus simple en français :)
      La prise de son et la prise d'image ont été captées à deux moments différents, d'où l'inévitable impression de décalage dans le montage. En live pendant le concert, l'effet n'était pas du tout le même. Pour ce qui est de l'auto-battue, elle était vraiment indispensable pour ne pas se perdre, même en étant chanteur pro-ce qui n'est pas le cas des enfants- et ça permettait d'avoir un repère supplémentaire dans cette immense partition...

    • @AlainNaigeon
      @AlainNaigeon 2 года назад

      De nombreux chanteurs font ça en répét ou en enregistrement (pas au concert).
      Pourquoi ? Parce qu'ils ne peuvent taper des pieds sans faire vibrer leur voix !

      @@calembourman2295 Hi ! I was a singer in this choir ; you must know that the sound and the picture were taken in two different moments, so making this video was pretty hard... For the auto-conduction, it was the only way not to be lost in this giant score : you have this landmark at least, if your hand is down, you know you're at a beginning of some meter ! It saved me many times during the concert :) For the exact pulsation, you'll hear we're sharp together thanks to the chief.
