      The burgers from bars here are £3-4 and taste like something you found as you pull your trousers up in the toilet. If you went to a restaurant you would pay £15+ for this with fries and salad.

    4:42 You can do the same trick when baking bread. Just fill a spray bottle with some water, and spray it into the oven a couple of times, as the bread is baking. This will give a nicely crisp and brown surface to the bread.

    I don't know why everybody is going mad about the price. I think it's totally okay concerning that burger HAS A WHOLE SCHNITZEL in it. Didn't anybody realise that?!
    I'm from Austria (which is like home of the schnitzel) and when you order one at a restaurant you have to pay at least 10 - 12€. It's bigger, but, any ways... I would have paid at least 9 pounds for your burger!☺️👍🏻

    • @1111poul
      @1111poul 8 лет назад +2

      It has 1/2 chicken breast in it.... Not even breast. And I KNOW that schintzels are made from pork traditionally, and they are like 2-3 times the size of that in the video. Now that I would pay 9£ for in a restaurant, but not as "street food"

    • @MrFancyHosen
      @MrFancyHosen 8 лет назад

      I'd pay the price he asks in the video if it included potato chips or fries but not just the burger itself, not to mention chicken meat isn't terribly expensive (typically anyway). As a quick thing on the street that thing should be 6 bucks probably.

  • @Cenotaff

    Looked awesome but one burger is only half a chicken breast. £6/7 was my guess.
    Anyways, you doing alright dude? You looked exhausted/hungover to feck. Suspect the weather didn't help but normally the busker is kicking everyone's arse and raising the mood from start to finish. The ending was typical busker hilarity but it felt like you wasn't feeling this one from the start. That's not a criticism btw as I'm sure it's tough out there, I work outdoors and know how minging it's been the past few months, gets you down. Spring is coming and I'm sure with improved weather, meaning happier punters and your continued quality food output, the Busker will be smashing it again.

    • @ehawk7921
      @ehawk7921 7 лет назад +1

      Agreed, but I think, I found out why he is doing that. For the things he doesn't want to make any more (like this burger, which took a long ass time making) he charged that much because he had no intention of ever doing it again.
      For other things, where he had to pay waaay more for the ingredients (I fathom) he charged like a nickel.
      Could be that he is just weird like that, though. Not an idea.

  • @elre6270

    Nice! If you trim the chicken first, cut off the tail then split the remaining part of the breast horizontally, you get three pieces that will fit the buns with no waste. (You will still need to pound each piece to the same thickness.

    Awesome recipe Busker! :)
    I would pay 6£, as it's a chicken burger (with only half the breast). I had a bacon double cheeseburger with candied bacon (double dry-aged beef patties) at the Kerb street food market once, and I paid 10£ (just the burger). So I would definitely not pay more than 6£ for this one.

    8.95 £ ? Damn that's 10-11 €, in a french Restaurant you get a full midday meal for that, including a bottle of water, bread and a coffee afterwards. Sure the make of brioche buns is a little time consuming but still, that price is three to four times higher than the worth of ingredients for one Burger.
