- This is the first time I’ve ever seen one locally and boy did it turn some heads when we were cruising around town. Here are some quick snippets from my first drive. Couldn’t fit all my first impressions in a reel, so watch out for the whole unedited version coming out soon!
I was born in Manila in the 70s and this Cyber Truck reminds me of the all-metal "pangkaskas ng yelo" we used at home when I was still a kid.
Also reminds me of the planer for woodcraft.
😂😂😂
😂😂
Bro😂😂
Hahaha same here but also yong laruan ng mga batang Pilipino noon na kotse na gawa sa karton 😅
This was an awesome commentary. Very balanced and straight shot. Appreciate everything you said. It's not for everyone but it's amazing for what it is.
It's not for everyone but dang it makes automotive history. Hope to see it on the MM roads so I can show it to my kids.
BTW, the steering feel is because of the 4-wheel steering.
Also it's bulletproof only to subsonic pistol rounds, not high velocity rifle rounds like 5.56 and 7.62.
first video i’ve seen of this guy but im a huge fan already 🤩 we need more of that level headed perspective like when he pointed out the buttons thing
Been a fan of elon since the very early days of Tesla. This is the most level headed ride experience review I probably watched on this truck.
James considering he isn't reading off a script is smooth as yema.
Nice to see a Cybertruck being driven in the Philippines. Hello from the Bay Area California “ the Tesla capital of the world” 😊. Salamat for the video kuya. I have a 2023 model Y and a 2019 model 3 myself. Love Tesla cars. Elon is changing the way we transport with his companies TESLA, BORING Company AND SPACEX.
Yes! Fell in love with the car the moment it debuted back 2019. Still fascinating!
really?
@@ceepee219 yes. Really
@@ceepee219 yes. Really
@@patrickdelacruz6758 Im not hating on the car or anything but will you be able to tell me what you llike about it? I've seen reviews online but haven't really drove one, yet seen one in person.
You must have really terrible taste then.
I liked what you said about people who are determined to hate things. This is 100% true. Karamihan sa bashers ng new cars entering our country, are the ones who cannot afford to buy them.
Or maybe, just maybe, they are practical and can fix their own cars. Can you even change your own oil, brakes, sprak plugs and tyres? Or does daddy do it for you?
@@schrodinger3467 Read again. "BASHERS" who cannot afford the car. Does what you say "practicality" fall into that category? 🤣
Or maybe they want reliability. I mean cybertruck vs a Gac or Geely with bad marketing.
The problem with that car is it's a massive danger to the streets with extremely sharp steel
You mean, like jeepneys? @@Riler-uc3mu
I used to own a Tesla Model 3 in the US. I loved the acceleration. It was the best car I ever owned.
Model 3 is a game changer.
PH might probably be the very first county in SEA to have this beast on the road!!!!! 🤯MIND BLOW 🙌
It's built in Texas. I see that truck every day here in Texas in different colors. It looks great in black.
With all of that shinny stainless steel looking material on the Cybertruck… Looks like a fancy and boujee Owner Type.
First it was a model 3 in the Philippines now this I'm now expecting to see more electric vehicles in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Tesla Philippines officially opened in Taguig. Now selling Teslas starting at 2.1M php.
@@soothingunboxing7129 so all tesla models including the Cybertruck?
u shouldve driven it on weekends sat or sunday when people are outside
We have a neighbor who owns 5 Teslas, Y, S , and cybertruck. He has a problem parking his cybertruck because of its size. I will stick to our Tesla 3. Love it!
Electric vehicles might actually benefit here where the weather is only either hot and dry or rainy. Electronics go crazy in extremely cold conditions during winter in temperate regions.
Very good point!
I wonder how MM would react to robotaxis …. ?
But battery may decrease range during hot days.
@@alesh2275 if it's affordable, which it should be. It'll replace the amount of tricycles in MM. It probably will be affordable since theoretically could pick up multiple passengers from say Rizal to Makati. Its like carpool on steroids
Like other Tesla vehicles, the Cybertruck has voice commands, so you don't have to fiddle with the screen. It also has the option for full self driving (FSD) and it's pretty good.
On the AC just press and hold the right steering wheel button and say interior temperature whatever elcius and it will just do it for you. Or say I'm hot and it will take the temp down a degree or two. There are so many verbal commands i seldom touch the screen.
parang Sarao Motors lang ah
After half a decade of cybertruck existence and now driving around the metro to make a statement, this strikes me as an Ukay-truck.
I love the people's reaction, I we're them I'd be amazed as well. You dont see that daily on a bussy roads in manila.
Not to ignore, is lack of tactile controls. It's a safety issue. Coupled with the heft of this vehicle, driver distraction can become fatal if active safety didn't catch it. Considering the lane discipline, pedestrian, and motorcycle situation here (compared to the US) active safety may not be able to adapt all the time.
Every new car you drive has and will involve some learning to operate. Eventually it comes natural.
What Active safety? As like any car you are the driver and you are in control all the time. All automated safety systems can be overidden by a steering input or depressing brake/accelerator. Ultimately you are responsible for your own safety on the road. Its not going to prevent you from driving off a cliff if you deliberately try to veer off the road.
Cybertrucks are built bulletproof from the factory. If anything, you will be safer inside this truck than any other car on the road other than an armored bank truck.
Tapos yan sa traffic at baha. Not to mention sa theft.
taong kweba kaba boss @@mredizon00
Been driving my Tesla Model Y for almost 2 yrs now, 49k miles/79K km. I didn't feel unsafe using the controls in the touchscreen. It's very intuitive. About 2-3 days lang ang adjustment period. In terms of safety, maraming Active safety features ang Tesla like lane departure avoidance, automatic emergency braking assist, collision avoidance system, blind spot collision warning. Mas lalong safe pad naka activate ang Tesla Autopilot feature. Mayron 8 cameras and powerful vision processing provide 360 degrees of visibility, detecting nearby objects like pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles. Matindi ang situational awareness ng Tesla cars.
like it, is it ready for self drive in Manila?
Sana gumawa din ng ganitong style ang nga Jeepney makers sa pinas. stainless din naman ginagawa nila pero mas aerodynamic ang ganitong style.
Haha funny ang pilipinas wlang stainless formermachines they all handmade
Corny mo. nasa utak mo plagiarism agad. pilipino ka nga.
That is the concept of back to the future. Drive it sa probinsya on dirt road.
question. Does it self drive?
Hope they have competent service center in the Philippines. The foundation series have so many problems and it just keeps on coming.
Very typical on first year vehicles. Last time I heard they are opening up a Tesla in Makati or BGC.
How did you get it in the Philippines? Duties, fright cost, vat and connections? What happens if it breaks down? Can it do over the air updates? Enjoy it. Excellent choice.
@@alaaa1794 The Philippines has decided to extend its tax exemption for imported electric vehicles (EVs) until 2028.
@@alaaa1794 Tesla only needs a Wi-Fi connection to download (OTA) software updates globally.
If you know enough corrupt officials, you can do anything in the Philippines.
For sale in timog..18 big ones will do it
I'm also for mechanical switches, you can easily reach for them without looking unlike the all digital ones through the main display.
just like there are keyboard accessories for touch smartphones, teslas also have 3rd party accessories to create the mechanical switches some people may prefer.
the interior looks cool
Imagine using grab taxi and the taxi driver arrives with a Tesla cyber truck 😂.
stainless steel is close to Filipino motor junkies heart. Owner type jeeps and jeepneys and tricycles are constructed of stainless steel for a very good reason in PH. Cybertruck just nailed it with the choice of stainless steel bulletproof body.
We live in the Philippines. Unless you're on the CALAX or SLEX expressways, it's totally impractical. Especially on Barrio roads and days to charge at low voltage public stations.
Someday, I'll buy a TESLA 😶🌫😶🌫
Go for it, dude! 👍
I'll buy a Lamborghini 🗿
Hows the FSD in Philippines?
In the philippines,We need a Boat car James 😂
Kung may pera ka wala ng tanong tanong bilhin mo na kung gusto mo😂😂😂..andaming nega eh karamihan naman walang pambili😂
WOOOOO👍👏👏
Have you tried it driving through flood waters?
My question is, does Tesla have superchargers in the Philippines. I plan on moving there in 2026 and would love to buy a Tesla, either a Cybertruck if I can find one there by then or a model X or Y. I would probably live Iloilo or Dumaguete. Where do people charge their vehicles when not at home?
SM & Ayala Malls offer free charging as of the moment. Shell gasoline stations in Metro Manila also offers free charging but not sure in Iloilo or Dumaguete. Tesla is currently on personnel hiring process, they're set to open up shop in BGC by next year, i think.
Currently only 2 or 3 charging stations in Iloilo and not sure if they're free. Dont really have the infrastructure yet for Electric vehicles.
@@paolosy1293 Thanks for the reply! I like the province areas, but BGC might be a place I would like to live in. I know someone living in BGC and he loves it there. Hopefully by 2026 and 2027, the supercharging infrastructure has improved. It would seem almost impossible to travel to other islands without superchargers available.
@@therainbowpoopp Thanks for the reply! I don't need free supercharging so long as it is available. Hopefully, there will be many more superchargers by 2026 and 2027.
@@paolosy1293 It would be awesome to see Tesla's everywhere in the Philippines.
Is it available for sale already in the Philippines?how much is it in Phillippine pesos?
Very cool I was actually wondering if anyone had done this yet. definitely the most fragile truck on the road I've seen all the stories on r/cyberstuck and watched whistling diesel test it so I know the thing is basically held together with glue.
there’s no superchargers if you do long drive like Tagaytay or Cavite or something
What that's about 100km or less?.... Cybertruck hold about 450km fully charged.
may ford lightning naba sa pinas?
I think I just saw this the other night in Timog. Was surprised that we have a cybertruck here
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like it...can i have one....simple but elegant....it easy to manufacture because no need many embezzle or what so ever....love it..
U.s. owners can't even get a hold of tesla's customer service for the numerous lil hidden nuggets this came with, as per reviews.
Ph buyer pretty much on his own after the hey-look-at-me novelty wears off
James Deakin is James Deakin when it comes to simplifying car review, nothing more nothing less.
Wait a second...where is the plate number at the front?
All stolen 😂
U either love it or hate it. I can't get over the idea it looks more like a humvee/tank than a truck..
Sir James, was this on a weekday or weekend? Did it have a conduction sticker on it? Nice ride for sure, Cheers!
Is it categorize as suv? Where to put the plate number
Where is the top mounted 50 caliber machine gun?
Can u drive that car here in baguio?
How much was the TAX?
What happens if flood gets it?

❤wow
When is the Tesla dealership coming?
💖👍
Where is the top machine gun 50 caliber?
Just wondering how the auto pilot would work being there's too many pedestrians walking. Would get a lot of phantom braking i would assume 😅
Can we enable self driving here in PH?
Thank goodness you didnt run out of batteries.
Anong gosto nyong charger solar o coil na iniikotan lang Ng magnet?
crazy road. you are not just crossing over white lines to change lanes... you are driving through the lines... and cars park along active lanes.
Wow very good
san nyo po tinatambay yan? may schedule po ba kayo kung saan na ddisplay yan ganyan? tulad sa sm north o sm megamall. gusto ko po sana makita yan sa personal , fan ako ni elon musk at tesla
Where do you find Pinoy charging stations?
Do you risk runnunig out of charge in Pinoy traffic jams?
Its clean no air pollution, no noise pollution .
so where do you go for PMS? mechanic or an IT/software engineer ?😂 just kidding 👍😉
How the auto pilot
If its affordable its actually the vehicle that is most apt for the rugged Philippine roads. If Pinoys can afford that truck, our roads will be filled with them.
Its very affordable, the price is just 18M in peso. All the politicians from tens of thousand of mayors, VM, hundreds of governors, VG, hundreds of congressmen, thousands of contractors, and traders will easily purchase that thing.
@@Hotelsierraecho 18m pesos is about $300k us dollars... That is way overpriced.
but the thing is the power station there in the Philippines, how can do you charge?
Malls
I don't have to change anything for the HVAC system. I just sent it to Auto and the temperature I want. If you want to change something like the fan speed you could also press the microphone button once and tell it to do what you want. There is no reason to play around on the screen while you are driving.
Many things can be controlled by pressing the microphone button and saying what you want.
When I see this truck on the road, I chuckle and think “who’s the dummy buying this truck that looks like a garbage hauler”. It looks like someone quickly rough sketched it and say “here it is”! This is ultimately the most minimalist vehicle. The only reason I’ll buy this truck is if i need to drive away in a bullet proof truck to save my life
Angas is the only one of its kind in the Philippines. 😊😊😊
No plates? Riding on Public Roads?
How much is the insurance PREMIUM? How long before RUSTS start showing up in the exterior.
Canadian insurance companies have refused to cover the cybertruck stating that they do NOT cover ARMORED vehicles.
Looks like a manual ice shaver.
The Jeepney in the side: Wat da heck is this?!!
James dealing thank you for fastening your seatbelt and promote safety… seatbelt save lives
6:13 He said, not a single curve on the Cybertruck. Except on the hood of the Frunk, just so you know.
Surreal. The video feels like CGI where the CT drives around Philippine roads.😅😅 I just realized importing and owning this would be similar to living with a supercar that once it has problems or parts that needs replacement, the parts would have to be imported. Depending on the car issue, a mechanic or mechanics would have to be flown in the country. The CT also has plenty of huge glass, it will break eventually, it's just a matter of when.
Back to the past future and back again 😭 make it 🕊️
wow my dream car.. how much it cost.. + tax ...
a local importer list it at 17.5m
Can you try it on west level "BAHA"
oh so its just in timog. hmmm... mahanap nga to lol
Cyber truck is located (Quezon city)
Ang tanong magkano dito yan?
I saw that cybertruck here in our village greenwoods cainta rizal monday morning..
It not easy to have EV in Pinas because of no available charger on the road so you can drive around your area but not long driving
how charging station in the metro manila? is it viable to do roadtrip with a ev?
all SM has it and at your house
ubos battery nyan sa tindi ng traffic dito

soo its not a tesla. just a copy of a cyber truck. the similarities are spot on. but for me i thing the wheels is a bit wobbly when turning. its like its going to topple.
How
Much it cost in Phil?
P18.5m
WOW
If you can’t afford it then hate on it
They really bought this deadly refrigerator in the Philippines 💀
Now take it to baguio and try to drive in the new parking garage and park it in areas around baguio for a true test
😎
People in the Philippine think cybertruck as kabaong -> (casket)
