- At less than $300 new this revolver defiantly made myself not being a revolver guy take the bait and give one a try. Although the finish is crude and the sights are a little less than desirable. This revolver scores high in usability and functionality. Running 100% out of the box with all loads I tried and having very nice lockup on the cylinder proves this is a great entry level revolver for not much money.
The Hide Buyability scale: BUY....
Been looking at this pistol for a while and as they say finally 'Pulled the Trigger' and bought the 2 inch Snub Nose version in black, it has 6 shots unlike other small frames with 5 shots.
First it's weight is heavier than most at 28oz and its built like a tank...5 LB SA pull and 12 LB DA trigger pull, which is fine, just shoot it a bunch and it should smooth up.
I did have one small issue - the trigger seemed to be catching on something during several shots...I found out it was the hammer spring catching on the grip screw threads.
I put 2 #8 small washers (10 cents at the hardware store!) under the head of the screw that holds the grip on the frame...problem solved!
I paid $269 at a local Gun Show for mine and couldn't be happier - I'll be using this in the car and for CCW - the weight will aid in .357 rounds - with .38 JHP +Ps it shoots like a .22.
These are cool revolvers.
Muzzle First I won't lie I was a little skeptical when I first seen this thing in the local shop but after getting it an putting rounds through it I love it. Very controllable even with mag loads. Thanks for watching!
i bought a 2 inch windicator in 2015 . have you noticed that it has a pinned trigger. most of the big boys have dropped pinning the triggers. this is a good buy if you want a 357 on the cheap.
I got mine about a year after you did and my finish is just fine so they must have improved it
I hadn't owned a gun for several years but decided I should get something with things getting weird recently.. I didn't wanna spend that much and ideally wanted a 4" 357 revolver.. the selection was rather limited and the 2" version was the closest thing I could get. Solid, comfortable gun for sure!
Just got 1 also waiting on my ten days lol
I also got one. Don't regret a THING.
She came home today! EAA rock's there turnaround is awsome. 7 day's total. Can't beat this company. Here was the problem( REPLACED AND FIT NEW ANGLE PIECE AND HAND.) numbers of pieces fix in manual 12&71. Brother an I are going to the range Saturday I'll let y'all know how she shoots.
That's awesome, glad you got it back so quick!
I'm having the same problem with mine, the hammer won't pull back at times but it will still work in double action.I'm glad to hear the turn around time was so quick.Could you let us know how your revolver has been working since you got it back?
Getting ready to order a 4" .357 on Monday. Thanks for your video..
Jim Powers Awesome I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Thanks for watching!
So far so good. Shoots real nice. I see what you meant about the finish. Let us know if you do some kind of coating on yours. Thanks for the video. Will love to see the 500 round update.
@@jimpowers338 got well over 600 rounds of factory 357mag mostly Aguila and federal and mine is still as tight as the bought it.
I have a 2 " barrel..She is hot stuff...357 / 38 ..
Have the 2" love it 158 and 200 grain 357 mag kinda hurts a little opening a can of whoop ass
Good vid on this handgun, finally someone shooting.
Thanks I appreciate you watching!
I have this gun with a 4" barrel, the Only bad thing I can say about it is the finish, but I invested the money to have mine cerakoted, and that did so much good !!
Oh yea I bet so. Thanks for watching!
Any good holsters you’ve found I should check out
I like them windicator, just wish they make an adjustable rear sight on the 4"model as well to let the buyer choose a fix or adjustable sights.
nice review
Thanks!
Awesome review dude it’s really refreshing to hear some intelligence
Thanks for watching!
I've got the 2in in 357-38sp. She came home Saturday an went to shoot on Sunday. It was going well up until about 50rds. She locked up tight. No pull on trigger can't pull back the hammer it's locked up tight. Monday morning now called eaa an they told me send it back so waiting for fedx to pick her up today.. 10 to 14 day's an she will be back home..there's so many good things about this revolver. I'm trying to dislike it but can't.even with the situation I'm in with it..
For the money its tough to beat for sure. Good to know their customer service is going to take care of the problem. please update us when you get it back! Thanks for watching...
Never heard of that issue with one
Ordered one and went to pick it up. Felt the trigger, handed it back to the guy and told him to cancel my transaction. That trigger SUCKS. Gritty, catchy, inconsistent. It is cheap though. I’ll keep saving for a gp100.
This is late but I use the H.K.S 586 speed loader work well if the 10. don't feel right for you just so everyone knows
Thanks for the heads up!
they are built solid
Agreed!
In german is called the vindicator
So I've heard. Thanks for watching
I have this revolver. Can you use +P .38 special ammo?
I have the snub version and love it! Trigger pull seemed heavy when I first handled the gun. When shooting, it's a great feel. Also wish the front sight had some color. Overall, incredible value.
Yea I was actually thinking about getting one of the snub models myself since this one has done so well. I had to take and put some sight paint on the front sight on mine. That made a huge improvement in shootability of the gun. Thanks for watching!
My shop has 7 in them. Thinking I'm about to make the buy. Will you second that thought for me?
Igottoomuchswag801 For no more than they cost their hard to beat. I Really am impressed with how well it functions. Only downside is the finish on the gun. If that's not an issue, buy it take it to the range and have some fun. Its a great no frills revolver. Thanks for watching!
Yeah finish is not a issue for me. I'm planning on throwing it in my car and having it for that "just in case" situation.
Then I have no doubt it will serve you well!
Igottoomuchswag801 and when you leave your car put it in your trunk where you have a pistol vault securely bolted down....to many people go "car shopping" these days...I'm sure your a responsible gun owner, I just don't want newbys thinking its ok to just throw a gun in the glove box and walk away.
Its a great firearm for the price ! I don't like the word cheap ...Inexpensive yes worth the time too shoot...I purchased this gun from cheaper than dirt ..$ 199.00..It cost $ 329.00 now..357/38 Rounds.. Better get it soon..
I have semi autos but wheel guns are the best...357 Magnum is a hard hitter...1500f/s and a wooping 500-660 lbs / energy .. one shot and it is over .. a 9mm will take at least 3 .. it will punch through heavy cloth and thick fat easy.. so .357 is my choice..and God forbids I have to use it anytime but if I have I am sure the .357 will do very well...
Do check your local and state laws for firearms on prohibited FFL transfer list as a result of 'Melting Pot' laws, that is firearms which are constructed of alloy metal and deform in less than 800deg [polymer excluded]. (Illinois law). EAA website mentions same.
Since i am new to shooting and may not understand 100% of gun laws i think its an attempt to curb the proliferation of value priced firearms and control who can and cant have a firearm.
I think this melting pot law in Illinois is prejudiced against low income folks who may not otherwise be able to afford anything else.
Although it's only been a about three months since you posted this video has this revolver gotten any lock up issues? Some of these have their hammers lock up, especially after shooting a lot of magnum loads. Thanks.
Rusty Gunn 7 No i haven't had any issues at all with this revolver, actually shot it recently and performed great. Thanks for watching!
I have one shot it a lot almost completely hot .357 no issues and I have watched I think almost every You Tube review on this revolver and never once heard a reviewer or a comment poster either one mention having that issue. Not surprising they are reliable, they are German made by a very old long time gun manufacturer.
@@deanfirnatine7814 Weihrauch in Germany made some of the best air rifles after WW II
Does anyone know if there is a big accuracy change from the 4 inch to the 2 inch snub nose? I picked up the 2 inch a week ago and shot it today. I had a little difficulty with it being accurate. Maybe it's me. I hope it is. A friend told me you need to practice with it more to get better. Seems after more than 6 feet I didn't hit a dam thing.
dave christopher One thing to keep in mind is a snub nose is a close quarters weapon plain an simple. Out to any real distance its not going to be super accurate as they were made for that. For me personally I shoot a longer barreled handgun a lot more accurately. A more experienced shooter may be able to replicate those results with a snub, but that shooter isn't me. Just try practicing with it and see, but if your making quality hits at self defense distance that's what that particular pistol is for. Hope this helps, thanks for watching and feel free to subscribe!
I shoot mine at 100 yards all day long! It can shoot!!!

What type of grips does this revolver use?
Honestly I'm not sure, I've researched a little on it but cant really find a definitive answer. Some of the S&W grips may fit but I cannot confirm that as I've not tried any of them yet. Thanks for watching and feel free to subscribe to the channel!
Armnus
where are these sold? locally
I found mine at a local gun store. But they can be bought off Buds guns.com. Thanks for watching!
I got mine at Cabelas. Just over 300 bucks but that was about six years ago.
Have you had any issues with hot .357 magnum loads?
No, no issues at all. Ive ran quite a bit of the high pressure stuff and its ran it all like a champ with no signs of blow through on the cylinder. With that said I'm not sure how many rounds it would hold up to shooting that type of round through it, but for now its been perfect. i plan on doing a longevity video on this after I hit 500rds so be sure to subscribe and stay tuned!
Do they shoot +P?
Judson Garvin Yes they do. Thanks for watching.
I have a basic 38 special model so be careful which one you pick. I'd recommend getting a 375 comparable one since its only about 100 bucks more. Because my model warns NOT to use plus P.
@@tombraver6449 holy shit mines only a 357mag where did you get a 375..
@@someguy5444 You mean a 38 Special? That's why my model was much cheaper. I ordered mine off of Budsgunshop.
@@tombraver6449 no mines a 357mag, look at your cylinder.
Anyone shot bear loads through it yet!?
Duracoat it??? Like putting lipstick on a hammer.
Thanks for watching.
Nice gun, good review. BUT. Some of the worse camera work I've ever seen. NOT ONE SINGLE TIME did we viewers get to see the gun while you shot it. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE. Your back (black shirt) covers up your gun while shooting in the first part. In the second shooting sequence neither you nor the gun is shown.
Appreciate you tuning into amateur hour here at The Hide!
I can tell you are NOT a revolver guy! THE WHEEL??? IS SMOOTH???
Write what you know.
