Straight pipes needed a crossover x or h, at least to sound better. The Roush sounded best at idle and revving, under load, the flowmaster sounded pretty good. Anyhow, to each their own!
Would X or H be deeper and take some of the rasp out? I have that exact car they straight piped and wondering where I should start. I love the volume and aggression but it was a little raspy for me
I will go with roush because straight pipes was too raspy at the end, and flowmaster outlaw was good but i think there was a little bit of rasp i could hear but i'm not sure actually, so that's why i am choosing roush because it sounds perfect to be honest
I have no clue why people use Flowmaster their products aren't very good I personally think borla is better. Ford was stupid for getting rid of the cyclone 3.7 v6. Wait did that silver v6 have a gt badge lol 😆
The Roush and Flowmaster are close but I have to pick Roush overall. The Flowmaster is too raspy on takeoff. The "straight pipe/muffler delete" sound like garbage. Needs a x-pipe. They should have never got rid of the Cyclone V6 for the Ecoboost 4 cylinder. PS.... Neither Mustang has the full GT badge on the back. They have the medallion with the "GT" lettering removed.
My Lincoln mkz has essentially the same engine but it's mounted different and I'm really considering putting a flowmaster on it for shits and giggles. It's the only car I've ever owned with a quiet exhaust. Thanks for giving me some examples of what it might sound like. Who knew exhaust videos would be so entertaining.
@gocart09 I must have missed your comment notification so I'm a little late. But you said headers? I didn't even know they made headers for them. Can I get the info on them?. I also checked out your car and it's pretty sick my man.
@@yeahright528are a used a set of knockoff BBK shorty headers off of a 3.7 l and then cut and modified some of the runners to fit around my all-wheel it was definitely an on and off procedure but they're now on their
Only a true V8 owner could tell😂😂not the hating family car owners who pops the silly question if it's a V8, ahit why ain't you driving the next best thing. Lol it's a mustang and it sounds like a champ.
The Ford Cyclones V6 sound good unless you do an exhaust on them without a crossover, then they sound like garbage! BTW, the exhaust system done on the black mustang was done horribly!
So much sound experience is lost on automatics vs manual. For the life of me i can never understand why a car enthusiasts not want that feel , sound and connection with the machine by running up and down gears . Sucks a bit in traffic but who cares. Its what drivings all about
I live my manuals. If I ever bought an auto (which I wouldn't, one more thing to break and boooring) I definitely wouldn't put an exhaust on it. Only sounds proper on a manual.
Straight piped v6 and v8 American engines will always make me smile😍
This work must be so exhausting.... I'll see myself out
👋
Very punny
Well he probably loves doing it that’s why it’s HIS job
🤣👏
i always liked a v6 top end more than a v8's
v6's have that raspy note in the mid end and then just scream up past 6k and they sound soo goood😩

Agreed, guessing because of cheap price.
The Outlaws aren’t a regular Flowmaster. These are like bullets
@@nathant2414 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
I have Magnaflow on my Stang and she sounds great.
Them Crackle Pops are everything 🙌👍👍
My little brother has a 2017 V6 Mustang. Trying to convince him to change his exhaust. I really like the Roush on this one.

2:29 roush 118 db
3:03 flowmaster outlaws 109 db
3:55 straight pipe 123 db
I really like the Flowmaster sound
Best sound for me was the Roush followed by the Stroght Pipped one
Bucees sticker on that black s550
Oohh yeeeaaahhh love it.
Put Roush on one pipe and Flowmaster on the other 😂
Could b an interesting experiment

Same engine but They sound different look me up I'm redoing mine with custom headers and dual exhaust

They all sounded great except that black mustang
I prefer the tone of the V6 with a nice exhaust tbh, I like higher pitched exhaust tones
they don't sound bad but it sounds like a z not a mustang
the muffler delete really needs an x pipe to make it sound better. probably make a little more power with an x pipe too
In my opinion the flowmaster setup sounded the best to me. 👍
Too quiet
I got the 14’ 3.7 w the roush sounds awesome 👍
Is the droning bad?
Straight pipe sounds good idling but like 💩 every where else. Roush has the best sound on this one.
X-pipe & Roush: 👍🏾
Flowmaster Outlaws: 👍🏾
Straight piped: 👎🏾
too much rasp
I love the v6 Stang, but Boy they sound farty 😂. The best seems to be ROUSH.
Great video and thanks for showing the parts you removed. Cause here in California won't pass smog if resonator is deleted
How not?
Resonators don't affect emissions so there's no reason you'd fail as long as you have your stock cats
@exhaustaddicts have you ever done a 3.7 Mustang with 3" all the way back?
Just bought a Mustang, how much does an aftermarket exhaust cost? Also where are y'all at? Im local to you (Columbia) thanks
Flowmaster 🤤
The flow master sounded like a baby v8. A big can and a supercharger you probably couldn’t tell the difference
You definitely could honestly and I have a 3.7
Only a true V8 owner could tell😂😂not the hating family car owners who pops the silly question if it's a V8, ahit why ain't you driving the next best thing. Lol it's a mustang and it sounds like a champ.
Flowmaster
Ew gt badges on a v6😂😂 still sounds good tho
U hater u have one ?🤦🏻♂️
The straight pioes is auto too lol. I dont like that one. Toss up between the Roush and Flowmaster. Think i like the Flowmaster better.
are these with or without a tune? mine deff doesnt crackle or pop. shorrty headers n roush exhaust
These all stock factory tunes, most likely
Straight pipe x pipe shorty header 😉
Straight pipe sounds horrible tbh
yeah they weren't my favorite either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Forget the sound, look how terrible the welds on the pipes are lmfao

What’s the name of your shop so I can see your work? Oh wait….

🔥🔥
I don't have a v6, but I prefer to make them as quiet as physically possible. The v6 rasp is a little too much fun for my dime
Roush mufflers link? Anyone ?
I won't lie the straight pipe sounds great at idle. But horrible otherwise. Flowmaster out of the bunch.
No car has true sound with the back cats still on, you should remove for rich sound.
Sounds like a Z
Where are u located
3560 Dickerson Rd Nashville TN 37207
Straight pipes sounds like garbage. Almost like a 4 cylinder Xpipe would clean it up alot
Black Mustang sounds like shat!!
🤨🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺why
Jesus, Americans really dont know how to build good exhaust systems 😮
does a lil girl drive that soft top
😂
💀💀
the moral of the story.....dont put pipes on a V6, they all sounds terrible
first
V6 :vomit:
