Lexus ES 2019/2020 please
The camera needs to be fixed or anchored. Swaying left n right brings motion sickness. Need to do yr home work a bit more by providing running commentary about the specifications of the car n how driving it relates back to specs. Light steering... Very comfortable ... Not informative
what do you think about its noise isolation (road noise, wind noise, surround noise)? and comparing it to rivals in its segment ?
Having driven quite many continental luxury cars, these are my thoughts about the ES 250. In terms of NVH, the ES 250 is considerably quiet and refined. Wind noise isn't a concern in this car, at least when I tested where i did not go faster than 110km/h, I did not notice any wind noise as opposed to the Lexus NX200t. It is a very comfortable car to be in either as a driver or a passenger. If a person doesn't like bmw/merc I don't think there are many choices of cars out there (Malaysian market) that could offer this sort of comfort, especially in the price range of around RM290k. Some things that I think the ES 250 could improve on is the engine option, this ES 250 is using a 2.5l NA engine, head unit system, and some physical interface components e.g. the buttons and temperature indicator on the rear arm rest looks really outdated. But to be fair, this generation of ES250 is coming to an end and its successor model should be rolling in soon, just a matter of when.
Louis Siah I appreciate your thoughtful reply. I am considering about the successor for my facelift-w204, W213 E200 or ES250. In Vietnam, we dont have an instant ES250 to test at the showroom, so that's why I need an unbiased opinion on this car. Thank you again for great content 👍
What about the G30 5 series? W213 definitely has more features than the dated-ES250 but comfort-wise it's very close. Then the only thing left for you to consider is if you're happy with the amount you pay for the one you have chosen i.e. if you will be happy and satisfied with your purchase. The W213 cost more than the Lexus here not sure what's the price like in Vietnam. Among ES250, W213 & G30, I'd personally choose the G30 5 series based on its balanced between comfort and driving experience if price was irrespective, just sad that the 520d is not available here for now. Hi Louis, nice video. This model is the executive right as I notice there is no full glass roof . The car is very sleek and value for money and easier to maintain :) .Just one question, does it have a stop start engine where , when it comes to a stop, the engine switches off ?.Thanks for sharing.
+Nicholas Naidu heyy Nicholas, sorry for the late reply, I was flying whole day yesterday. This car doesn't have engine start stop sadly. I do agree with you that this is a very good car in terms of comfort and value for money. Been looking at it recently too but I heard the new one is coming out next year.

Is the interior colour only black?
There's black, ivory(like beige), brown
It was exactly the same car as a Toyota Camry 2.5V right?
+George Chong I once thought it is a pumped up overpriced camry before I featured the car. Apparently it is not. Some parts may seem to look like a Camry but it was totally different when I drove it. The most noticeable difference is the ES250's ride is significantly more comfortable than a Camry. And then if you look more closely, the fit and furnish of the interior is really much better quality. The only downside of the car is the buttons on the rear armrest looks very outdated as well as the head unit multimedia system. But to be fair the car is coming to an end of its life cycle and a new one should be replacing it soon The steering does feel a little too light in my opinion. But in short i would still consider it because of the comfortable ride for its price. There aren't a lot of choices in that price range that could offer you its comfort and reliability of a Lexus though I may wait for an updated version of the ES250, not sure if they would. PS: I'm not paid to say those, totally based on my humble opinion.
Does it feel Camry-ly?
Slightly, yes. But more refined of course with better quality materials. But i really cannot tahan the rear armrest climate control led that looks like it came out from a old school radio clock, well i mean it's been out quite some time anyway, new model coming. Other than very very comfortable car that's relaxing to drive.
