Pyrex: I have had two of my Pyrex bowls for nearly thirty years and they are used ALL the time. Never had an issue. Three other Pyrex items, a mixing bowl and two oven proof dishes, I inherited from an aunt who had been using them since at least the 1960s. Still going strong. I bought a made in the USA Pyrex jug last year. Used it twice. Shattered on the third use. I suspect the borosilicate glass used in the European Pyrex is a bit more resilient than the soda glass used in the USA. Not certain, but that's my guess.
It is just like any other item you buy. You can buy 100 of the same items and never have a problem for many decades with 99 of them then you have the one that just cant stand up to the task. I have many pyrex bowls that i have had for many years and they are made in the USA with no problem. It is more likely that the bowl that broke was just a defect among the great.

Mushrooms are astonishing. I worked in an ancient house once, and the gardener there knew all the fungi that was good to eat - he even climbed trees in the garden to get Beefsteak fungus, and Jew's ear fungus from them. One day, he brought me a few Chanterelles - they look like little yellow trumpets - for me to try. They were utterly delicious, once simmered in water and then chopped, and mixed into an omelette. He never told me where they grew, though, as he could sell them for a great deal - they cost more than best steak, pound for pound. Good for him. I have tried and enjoyed, Parasol mushrooms, Horse mushrooms, Wood Hedgehog mushroom, Ceps, Shaggy Ink-caps, Morels, amongst many others. Never been ill from eating any of them.

Hi Barry! Love the videos!! Any chance you can do a video on a meal that is Gluten, Wheat, and Milk free!! I've recently had to start this elimination diet and I never realised how many things had wheat flour or milk in until I had to start looking!! Most of my things come from the "free-from" range, but there's only so much you can get and I'm running out of ideas!!
the butter feels like an extra ingredient vs oil, dunno why. I loved how you used the dried mushrooms to make a stock, thats such a neat way to use the ingredient to its fullest!
I am fine with you using a few everyday basics along with your three ingredients. I'm on disability and am grateful for recipes that are easy and really good! Keep up the good work! ( Oh, and I'd love it if you did a lemon curd recipe! I love the stuff and it's hard to find in Canada, and when you do it's expensive! )
I was scrolling on RUclips for something to watch and its just came up saying you’ve uploaded a video and that’s honestly the best thing to happen today!! Keep up the good work barry!
Crab Cakes: I’m from the Pacific Northwest, Puget Sound, Washington State, borders Canada-Vancouver 3hrs away. have never eaten canned crab; have eaten frozen from the East Coast of us and king crab from Alaska. We have the best local crab-Dungeness. I Wish I could get you some but it is very perishable but so good. By the pound it is $35, in the shell-$6 a pound. Mushrooms: we are lucky to have many wild mushrooms-chanterelles, morels, Shiitake, lions mane, portobello, we buy weekly at our local farmer’s market I watch your show whenever you upload one; I’m always struck by the difference in ingredients. I recognize how lucky we are to have such fresh products available.
Yo Barry, can you do a video of 15 of the best essential kitchen gadgets when moving out your parents house! Would be great to see a list of the best working and most universal gadgets you've come across! Cheers
also a vid idea maybe make a list of ingredients divide into groups n hav a vote for each group to choose 1 and make a meal using all ingredients consisting of 1-3 courses
Could you do the crabcakes from the oven. Like a recipe thats a bit more complicated, personally think chilli and spring onion is a bit to easy. There are so many herbs good for crab. Great video btw love the channel :)
The Krusty Krab is named after Mr Krabs and the recipe makes a Krabby Patty which was also named after Mr Krabs but it is only a cheeseburger, he just named the recipe after himself
I really like risotto. I think cupboard staples most people would have is fine. I would be very interested in you cooking low in calorie foods/meals/puddings.
PYREX vs pyrex is the difference. Uppercase is the original old school version that holds up better but can break in smaller (more dangerous) pieces & lowercase is the newer ones that are “safer” because they break in bigger pieces but are less safe when going from hot to cold (like microwaving water or sometimes taking things out of the oven or fridge!)
Hi Barry! Really like your videos, and I am very curious over what the name of the tune is that is playing when you are for example choping the chili and onion? Is it a song that only you have access to, or is it one from youtube it self?

I was seriously concerned for a minute there. Thought you were in the hospital but then I noticed you were in your kitchen and it's just a t-shirt.
I was scrolling on RUclips for something to watch and its just came up saying you’ve uploaded a video and that’s honestly the best thing to happen today!! Keep up the good work barry!
Hi Barry, love your videos! Could you please say what temperature you set your oven to so we can cook along too!
OMG, that risotto looks SOOOOOOOOOOO good... and the crab cakes! 'Homer Simpson Drooling'
I'm thinking I'm going to try these someday!
I make your BBQ Baked Chicken recipe all the time, love it. I made it recently for my mom and now I've made it several times for her, she loves it! :)
Do what you want it is cool bud!
Mushrooms: we are lucky to have many wild mushrooms-chanterelles, morels, Shiitake, lions mane, portobello, we buy weekly at our local farmer’s market
I watch your show whenever you upload one; I’m always struck by the difference in ingredients. I recognize how lucky we are to have such fresh products available.
Yo Barry, can you do a video of 15 of the best essential kitchen gadgets when moving out your parents house! Would be great to see a list of the best working and most universal gadgets you've come across! Cheers
Will there be any episodes in the 4321 series that involve slow cooking/pressure cooking. Love the series
That risotto looks amazing! Adding that to my bank of recipes for sure
Please show me how to make a homemade lemon curd. I tried one once, and it tasted divine but never thickened up to the right consistency. Thanks!
A fully vegetarian/vegan 4321 would be amazing! And love the idea of a 4321 cookbook! 😎
also a vid idea maybe make a list of ingredients divide into groups n hav a vote for each group to choose 1 and make a meal using all ingredients consisting of 1-3 courses
Was wondering when you'd bring another one of these out! Great for a student like me 😇👌🏻
Can you use normal mushrooms instead or does it have to be the ones you used? All of the food looks amazing! X
One suggestion for the milk shake, use the heavy cream like suggested, and then whip some left over for the top, and crumble some brownie on it.
Could you do the crabcakes from the oven. Like a recipe thats a bit more complicated, personally think chilli and spring onion is a bit to easy. There are so many herbs good for crab. Great video btw love the channel :)
Lmao a 'Krabby Patty' is literally just a cheeseburger.
HOT8CHOCOLAT3 otherwise I guess Mr Krabs is a monster if he's killing other crabs and making food out of them
The Krusty Krab is named after Mr Krabs and the recipe makes a Krabby Patty which was also named after Mr Krabs but it is only a cheeseburger, he just named the recipe after himself
Kelp fries are kelp, kelp drink made from kelp, kebabs party made with? Also Mr Krabs is the only crab (Krab) in bikini bottom....
Mr. Krabs' best line when he tastes a Krabby Patty;
"Hmm, so that's what I taste like!"
Krabby Patties are Crabmeat!!! :P
It has Plankton of course.
I think you should use basics. Can't wait to try these.
Tin! I watch you, for you! Say what you want man!
Hi Barry! Really like your videos, and I am very curious over what the name of the tune is that is playing when you are for example choping the chili and onion? Is it a song that only you have access to, or is it one from youtube it self?
I dont like deep frying either maybe we should get that air fryer? 🤔 it seems complicated to me but it's an option
nutella spread on the pastry before the curd and raspberries would be amazing
Homemade lemon curd is amazing, you can add rather more lemon than they do to commercial versions and give it a real zing!
