Since you struggle with governing capacity in the early game, I wouldn't trade company everything in Safi and Tunis like you said, only trade company provinces with high trade power to save on governing capacity, especially since Safi is hard to transfer into your home trade nodes until you control more of Iberia.

Honestly you can also take the Gascony mission before peacing out. I would say it depends on the Call for Peace. Getting like 5 War exhaustion or more while waiting additional years for the peace deal is not worth it. By getting back your cores earlier, you also generate a lot of manpower and money. The earlier you peace out, the earlier your aggressive expansion ticks down and the earlier you can expand even more.

I did the Crusader path (in 1.35 but it didn't change a lot, for France) and I actually quite like having a big Kingdom of Jerusalem march (owning Egypt and the Levant) as well as a Latin Empire one owing the Balkans and Anatolia. Latin Empire can be formed via mission by Cyprus which is easy enough to diplo-vassalise after the conquest of Jerusalem. Bonus point: Thew are French primary culture already!
Also you get Northern Italy at the end when the Pope becomes your march so I was ok with losing the Milan PU. You can get the Savoyard lands by giving the lands to the Pope, seizing one province (like Nizza), then releasing Savoy as vassal and asking the Pope to cede the cores to Savoy this way. Sure it takes more time but you don't pay any agressive expension this way (if you gave the Savoyard lands to the Pope when it wasn't a subject).

At the start I find it is better to take Ceuta, money, and war reps from Portugal in a separate peace deal. This still allows you to take your cores back from England, Pale, and usually war reps and some money as well. In my second war against England I give Calais to Burgundy if the succession has not already fired so they core it up for me.

I was never able to follow this guide, the first war with England is incredibly tough. I know you wanna try to cut off the Portugese stacks before they make it up to the English, but often the English will just transport their men down to Iberia and then fight me at full strength, can't stack wipe them there. They then go up and consolidate in Normandy, taking everything possible and moving down while you're sieging down Portugal's 3 forts. By the time you make it back up North to their armies, they will have taken your Paris fort and maybe the one in Haut-Poitu. My point is that it may be easier to start the war with the English with the Surrender of Maine event, this makes England the aggressor and gives them no time to prepare. Their allies will not be called in, and yours will such as Castile. This easily allows you to roll over the English mainland, as you already control the mainland and allows you to get up to 80% warscore easily. This is after running at least 4-5 times with trying to take everything in a war vs England with you as the aggressor. If they choose to surrender Maine, can't you just alt-F4? They didn't seem to care when I had the Papal State and Castille as allies, they tried to fight me anyway and I easily took the advantage.

I don't understand why you and ludi always open with estates. i don't think you should ever do estates until after your first war. Influence dictates how much crownland you get back. if you have a novermerb 1444 war you should just hand out the monarch points and maybe if you can do it for cheep get enough to make all estates trend toward 50 loyalty (but never exceed 50 percent influence as that way they can gain land rather than loose it when you take land) then get back up to nearly full in the first war. I also generally hold off on hitting that give me a mission button until the first war is done for the same reason (it give all of the estates influence.
Especially big deal as France. at 86 influence you need one or two bad events to have a disaster. way way too risky.

I cannot comprehend how RUclipsrs like him just simple siege down and win war super fast, I did exactly what he asked and it took me way more time just to siege down portugal. then i turn to france and my whole country is occupied and I have 0 manpower. how the hell am i supposed to take back my whole country when i have no manpower and the whole of portugal and england armies.

France has an extremely boring start. You spend a bunch of time reigning in vassals that shouldn't even be vassals. You don't have a lot of good missions and don't have enough governing capacity to expand early. It's a LOT of waiting around

Last thing i was expecting was another France guide. What about all the nations you didn't cover in Domination? Why France even after doing a guide for 1.35?
