  • I'm very excited to reveal what I been working on all summer, my photo exhibition called "Formet av vann" or "Shaped by water". The exhibition lasted from the 19th of August until the 23th of August, during the Norwegian film festival "Amanda". I also showed a new film at the festival called "Min "dragetur" Sæsnuten" - which I will air at a later date on this channel. I hope you enjoy this little tour of the exhibition and if you're looking into the possibility to host your own exhibition, maybe learn a thing or two. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions I don't touch upon in this video. Take care.
    Thank you so much for watching, commenting and subscribing! 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝.

      Thanks for the vote of confidence! I’m not sure I’m quite there yet though, it would be best to build together a coherent work I think, like you did, and exhibit the collection with a theme. I’ve just started a bit of a local project so perhaps it will be ready within the next few years 😆!

      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  5 лет назад +1

      A theme is always good I think. It gives you boundaries and "rules" making it easier for the viewer to connect to the images.. maybe :) I don't know. Good luck with the project Sam!

    Oddbjørn, I think you are one of the most talented landscape photographers going around at the moment. You have a wonderful eye for those small detail that many of us simply walk past, you really think about how an image should be composed and how it should look, you give the appearance of someone who loves what they do and it is all incredibly inspiring. Congratulations on your exhibition and I wish you continued success.

    Tree rings. You can tell the age of a tree by counting its “rings”. Oddbjørn, here your talent for storytelling is demonstrated beautifully, visually and orally. This was a wonderful vlog, and I loved seeing the internal artistic process that went into selecting your photos and organizing the exhibit. Bravo, man, bravo!! 🙌🏼 🤩 👍🏼 🙏🏽

    Congrats to your exibition. It looks awsome. You have a great collection of images. Would have been fun to be there to see. Btw have you been to Låtefossen yet. Qurious about if the roadworks are finished on the bridge.

      Thank you very much Andreas! I'll make sure to let you know if the exhibition makes another appearance in another place! I drove past Låtefossen a few weeks ago, I filmed the waterfall out the car window and I can't see any equipment in the footage, but I was driving past quickly and focused only on filming high up, so I can't say for sure.. I'll let you know the next time I drive past there :)

    Hi! Nice video, thansk for sharing.. few questions: how did you get the paspartou, by yourselve orndid you boght it? Why yo do not use non reflecting glass? Regards from Chile!

    • @oddbjrnaustevikfoto
      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  4 года назад +1

      Hi Andres! Thanks for your comment. I got the passepartout from my local frameshop. I measured it based on the crop and frame, and delivered the measurements to the shop, and he cut it for me. Individual for each image. I didn't use non reflecting-glass because I bought each frame used, and they came with "old" glass. The cost of buying and fitting non-reflecting glass for each image would be very expensive, pushing the price up for each photograph. I decided to try to keep the cost down. Hope this helps!

  • @leslielanderkin8301
    @leslielanderkin8301 5 лет назад

    Beautiful exhibit but curious why you didn't use non-glare glass to avoid reflections and why not printed larger? Leslie

    • @oddbjrnaustevikfoto
      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  5 лет назад

      Thanks Leslie :) The reason for that is that when I bought used frames they came with "old glass" and I looked into how much it would cost to replace the glass with non-glare, and ultimately decided that it was way to expensive and would add a lot of cost to each image, making them harder to sell. You can avoid glare when hanging the images up on the wall (if you're thinking about it). Some of the images could have been printed larger, but I feel it is nice to have varied sizes in an exhibition so people have the option to buy smaller if they don't have large wall space. However, two of the images should have been printed larger. Hope this makes sense :) Thanks again.
