    I work at a company that manufactures stuff out of sheet metal ... So needless to say I grabbed a pallet of 1/4 inch steel and sheared out a 17 x 14 inch chunk then Put a 3/4 inch radius on all the corners, removed mill scale and burrs with a belt sander and flap wheel and now I'm seasoning it in my oven . Can't wait to make some great pizza

    Why do this tho

    • @UncleBobbo
      @UncleBobbo 3 года назад +7

      Because seasoning it makes it more difficult for pizzas to stick to it

      @@UncleBobbo No it doesnt.
      What actually prevents pizza from sticking is, to not make a pizza too thin, otherwise it will stick to the steel and you'l end up with a nightmare.
      So, thats a tip from me. I also dont season my pizza steel i just wash it and its working perfect for me.

      Yeah, I went to a local metal shop and got A36 equivalent SS400 steel 17cm x 14cm x 6.3mm cut, edges rounded, and polished to remove mill scale for US$15.50. Turnaround time was one day. Amazon sells these for US$80-140. Lol

      Then you should start making your own clothes. Because the markup on clothes is unbelievable.
      And forget about what it cost to make a $20 piece of crap toy that you buy me in china. The mock-up on that is unbelievable. You should stop making your own toys too.
      See where I'm going with this? :-)
      We can always save money by doing it ourselves. Sometimes it's nice to have the option to purchase.
      But the video is pretty good because it was informative

      You want food grade steel, that $23 piece of steel could have trace amounts of lead or other heavy metals in it. Not a bright idea. Spend the extra $15 and get something food grade.
