Thanks, Scott. Your videos are very informative. As a guitar player, singer, songwriter playing with 2 part-time bands, this is exactly the type of gear (Phenyx Pro) that I would purchase for myself to use with my bands. Keep the videos coming!
Just got on of Phenyx's systems yesterday. I shoot weddings, so I got the 7000 with 2 microphone and 2 body packs. Getting a bit of a noise floor issue on the body packs, but thanks to you, I will try a channel scan first to see if it helps. I ran my audio test through Adobe Audition to try some noise cancellation, and got about 75% improvement. Since its gotta be perfect, will keep testing, maybe I'll get it down some more. The hand held microphones didn't seem to have the noise problem. I agree these guys at Phenyx do make a vastly superior product for their price point, and the build quality is pretty good, although I agree the body packs could stand some better design. One of my concerns is the top button on the pack will mute the signal, seems easily bumped to me, which could be disasterous. Oh, and great video, Scott... subbed on your channel, keep the great content coming! BTW at 6:07 you say "Signal to noise ratio less than 105", its actually greater than 105... minor niggle. :)
Hahaha whoops I didn’t even notice that. Thanks for letting me know! And in my experience, the way the button is kind of “inside” the mic a little bit, it would be pretty hard to bump the mute button 👍
I've had no luck with the bodypack lavs on the PTU-71 (2 channel version of the 7000). There's a constant tremolo / flutter in the background that's audible on headphones, it sounds like you're talking into a fan at low speed. Also the transmission is nowhere near as reliable as the handhelds. Anyone else have this experience?
For the buzz problem into the snake- Using an xlr hum eliminator might work. Morley makes a pretty good one or the pyle one. Both work well with those types of situations. Thanks for your videos.

I don’t like tone comparisons, but specs comparisons I think are very valuable! 100 feet is really good with those 7000 mics for the price for sure. @@mballouelectrician I trust PP because it's not in 2.4ghz over the Xvive because the Xvive is in 2.4. However, the XVive has worked very well even being on 2.4ghz. I will say this... if you are really debating that hard between the two, even after I tell you which one it is... I just want to make sure you aren't setting your standards too high. If you need a 100% reliable system, you gotta spend the money and get a good Sennheiser or a Shure system with a lot of RF tuning bandwidth and frequency options. Both the PP and U4 are ENTRY level in ear monitors. They are both fantastic devices for the price, and will work well the majority of the time. And if you do decide to go with the Phenyx pro, since you need 2 mics, you do have this as an option: ruclips.net/video/qKZFlh5Bc28/видео.htmlsi=Hb5kd3XYAUp8kezj
Hope that helps!
@@ScottUhlMusic tx man for the fast answer! I'll check the links you provided. Good morning to uou (if i'm not mistaking). :)
Scott would you go Phenyx pro 10 or Xvive uv4 ?
Phenyx Pro 10 👍
Xvive is more portable and compact though if that’s what you need
Both same reliability?
You do have to just understand that everything cheap has it's limitations.
Having said that, I still stand by PP between the two... but U4 if you need portability. Both are great devices.
@@ScottUhlMusic thank you much for the reply ! I just used in ear’s for the 1st time last weekend and loved them I used the U4 with a set of 215’s and worked fine. Then I had seen your PP video and made me think that could work ! Does stereo over mono make difference, I’m playing small clubs for the most part , 100-200 people room size. I’m not sure if they even run monitors stereo ?
@@mballouelectrician Nice! Glad they worked well for you. People debate stereo v mono. I like stereo only for vocals, but other than that it's not a huge deal.
Hi Scott. Yesterday I was playing in a bar and my partner singing with the ptu u1 microphone. suddenly he mutes the transmitter by himself. I reconnect it and after 6 minutes or more it mutes again. What could it be?
It’s muting it? Like the button gets pushed on the bottom of the mic? If it’s that, then it sounds like it could just be accidentally triggering the mute switch. They have a 1 year warranty on all their products, so I would message them
@@ScottUhlMusic not the mic.. the wireless receiver
The receiver would mute? My guess is the squelch level is set too high?
@@ScottUhlMusic it's like a noise gate? they wireless receiver it has that function ?
Thanks so much Scott.. i think is the problem 😎👍🏻
