Original Doom soundtrack from 1993 by Robert Prince is an equally badass achievement for its time. Mainly because there was very little space allocated to game music in those days. So he had to really be smart with his arrangements and The Limited sound palette available to him don't. It's an iconic score, this version has the benefit of 20 years of music Tech progress and of course it is going to sound much much much bigger and whatnot. Especially his performance here very dramatic. But... built upon the shoulders of giants as all things are... I still have a proper soft spot for the original work.
