I have seen ‘accidental’ eye injuries but the assault by Dijone was not. She gathered her fingers and angled them down directly to Caitlin’s eye. There is no natural movement and if you review her previous actions, the movement used is unnatural. Hitting Caitlin in her dominant eye had the significant impairment on her shooting.

There are several good players in the league but I never watched one second of one game. What I’ve seen has been on RUclips. Caitlin Clark has brought attention to the game like no other. She should be protected.
When I saw the eye poke I thought it was accidental, especially since she appeared to be looking at the ball and not at Clark. A lot of people in the comments section seem to think it was intentional so perhaps I was wrong. Either way I definitely think it affected Caitlin's game. I saw the other view. The game should have been stopped, Carrington jailed for assault, CC treated medically for what could have been a serious injury, and the refs fired for corruption. It was very clear that that dirty foul was intentional to injure CC. In basketball we try to defend a shot by focusing on the ball. However, it is quite noticeable that those jealous players after they pretendo that they are defending CC, their hands always drop on CC head, or face or eye. In basketball we never do that.
Opposing coaches, officials, players and retired veterans are all in on it. The league itself, which controls the aforementioned, has, with a wink and a nod, given tacit approval that it's okay to headhunt Caitlin Clark.

That ref who made an out of bound called against Hull, seems to be the same ref. that has always made bogus calls against the Fever especially against Caitlin Clark. And ref's has proven me right, the Fever will not be through the first round if ref's have anything to say about it. And it has already started, they didn't call the eye poked by Carrington on purpose. Hull received the ball inbound and the ref called it out of bound. Hull is not Angel Reese who rebounded the ball out of bound and still counted

I have seen ‘accidental’ eye injuries but the assault by Dijone was not. She gathered her fingers and angled them down directly to Caitlin’s eye. There is no natural movement and if you review her previous actions, the movement used is unnatural.
Hitting Caitlin in her dominant eye had the significant impairment on her shooting.

This is good. I mean, if you think about it, the fever hasn't been in any playoffs for so long. No one is experienced. They are basically starting off with their playoff season slow. Trying to see how the speed goes. How well they need to coordinate and how strong their secondary need to be.

When I saw the eye poke I thought it was accidental, especially since she appeared to be looking at the ball and not at Clark. A lot of people in the comments section seem to think it was intentional so perhaps I was wrong. Either way I definitely think it affected Caitlin's game. Hopefully she'll have one of her usual great games in the rematch.

I saw the other view. The game should have been stopped, Carrington jailed for assault, CC treated medically for what could have been a serious injury, and the refs fired for corruption. This was an attempt to injure CC PERMANENTLY! It was deliberate. I think the league has been corrupted by outside influences. The refs and some players are obviously out to stop CC. Until this is straightened out, I think CC and the Fever should take a break and clean up their own organization as well.
