This sailor is Gold. What a great guy. I’d love to meet him and swap sea stories lol.
So he’s not ship’s company huh? We called them “riders”. LoL. All good.
He seems like such a good guy to talk to when you need someone to reach out to. The Chaplain Corps got their money’s worth for sure.

Great interview, to both of you, thanks a lot for your service. Dad served in WW2 and my grand father served in WW1 & WW2 ❤

Larry, Chaplain Jaime Navarro mentioned that he saw you on a Dr Chaffee interview. He alluded to the fact that there was a story about how you guys met, but then the conversation went in another direction. I kept hoping you might get back to that as it sounded like an interesting story. Care to elaborate? Curiosity, killed the cat!

Actually, he did not know I had a RUclips channel. He found me through my Podcast with Dr. Chaffee and reached out via email. It was only then that he found out I had a RUclips channel and started looking at all of my content!

Question for the Chaplain.. hamburger patties in the mess or wardroom- are they 100% beef? I was pretty sure they were part soy, part beef.

Not sure about that but I would be surprised if they were. US Army buger patties are 90/10 100% beef. I suspect the same for the Navy and other branches.

That's a great question. Generally they'll have two different kinds of patties, one beef (I assume) and one veggie/turkey something. Every Tuesday is taco Tuesday as well with piles of ground beef. I'll need to check if it's full of fillers.

@jaimenava9387 Thanks.. For me I’d have to know.. I just seem to remember the burger patties on the mess decks not being “all beef”- Even the taco ground beef.
But that was quite a way back (I retired in 2007).
Hey Chap - what’s your email at the wing? I looked at the different air wing webs sites, but didnt see individual Chaplains listed.
      Stay safe !

Hey David, I'm a tad reluctant to throw my email out on the web. I'm trying to think of another way to connect. @@dsonyay
