I've been on the Carnivore Diet for 10 months with 20/4 Intermittent Fasting. I've since lost 45 lbs (still losing). I don't even count calories, I eat as much as I want within my eating window. All I wanted was to reverse my pre-diabetes and I did. My A1C is now back to normal, and my glucose is stable. The weight loss was a bonus. Add to this it resolved over 15 yrs of chronic health issues that I never expected to heal: joint pain inflammation, peripheral neuropathy, vertigo, acid reflux, skin irritations (psoriasis, eczema, skin tags), sleep apnea, insomnia, blurry vision, congestion, chronic coughing, hair loss, allergies, migraines, and clinical depression. I'm back to enjoying a healthy active lifestyle. I wake up everyday feeling great - I got my life back. I wish I'd known about the carnivore diet a long time ago. Never going back to eating carbs ever again.

I had an acupuncturist diagnose me with IBS that he claimed was the source of my allergies. When I stripped my diet down, did some fasting, went "paleo" for a while, and a few other things I found that my diet had a huge impact on my allergies and overall well being. When I remain strict on my diet, my allergic response is almost non-existent. The biggest offenders to my system: Milk, un-aged cheese, & wheat. When I avoid these things(and sometimes I cheat), I have almost no allergies. When I eat a pizza, it screws me up for days. So I agree with them, your gut has a huge impact on your body and immune system.

Some people can’t stomach meat (especially red meat), and some people feel the best they’ve ever felt on carnivore. hello, welp, I was a 340+ fat fu---guy and I did the keto diet first, I lost most of my weight, I went down to 240ish points and just got stuck there... I had heart beats skipping, high blood pressure, diabetic, was getting UTIs, fatty liver to the point it felt like someone kicked me in the belly, pants size in the 50s, I was beginning to get shaky hands all the time like parkinson, GERD and bad joint pains.
with keto my weight went down and I almost cured my diabeetes and my heart problems improved tremendously. 100lbs less do help but I didn't get the mayority of the health benefits until I dropped the grains and went almost full on carnivore, this is called ketovore by ken berry, or 0 carb keto is more traditional terms.
I switched to almost full on carnivore and in a week my hand tremors stopped... completely... and in less of a month I stopped having GERD, and my inflammation in my knees and back FINALLY corrected itself. now to say it was the less grains (hence lower glyphosate) or my ditching of all veggie oils and going back to saturated fats... but that was about the time all that was left of my symptoms to disappear completely. in less than 2 months I went from skeptive to holy sh*t this is it.
you end up eating a whole lot less, and your life doesn't revolve around food anymore. I tend to stick to 2 meals a day (2mad) and if I'm super busy I can go 1 meal a day and not "die" of starvation and bad moods.
I no longer take BP, liver, GERD pills, I haven't used painkillers in about 2+ years, I only take an iodine supplement and Inositol, cause I got autism and they help relieve my anxiety and burntout sensation... cause life is harder for us...

If you do not eat vitamin depleting carbs you don't need to replenish your vitamins. I will stay on this food plan till the day I die if I can keep the mucus at bay I’ve started having more energy I found that my arthritis when I get out of bed in the morning doesn’t scream for the first time in my life I’m not hungry all the time, and I’m not thinking about food all the time I am a recovered bulimic, just being free of all these battles that I’ve suffered. Most of my life is worth everything. I did try for one month just vegetables and fruit and it got worse. The mucus got worse that is what channeled me towards the carnivore right now I’m grateful.❤

Joe Rogan himself has tested it out for short periods of time and has only reported positive results: increased fat loss, improved cognitive ability, etc. Jordan Peterson and his daughter follow the carnivore diet as it was the only thing that has helped their pre-existing auto-immune system problems. I remember an old (1996) usenet posting which claimed the inability to synthesize vitamin C could happen in 2 ways. One defect would prevent any production and the other (the more common one) meant that the last enzymatic step could not occur but spontaneous decomposition would occur, then in the final step which was non-enzymatic, it converts to ascorbic acid. So you get some vitamin C, sufficient of preventing scurvy, just not as much as you might if everything was working as it should. One point supposedly in favor of some people making vitamin C is that not everyone came down with scurvy or died on long ocean voyages in the years of sails.
From a medical standpoint, it would seem much easier to operate as nobody can make vitamin C at all rather than having to work with some can and some can't. I don't think there is a medical test for vitamin C production except whether you come down with scurvy which would be kind of rough on the patient.

@DCD keto works. I've went from 270 lbs. with type 2 diabetes to 190 lbs. and no more meds. This in four months. It's now been seven months and I'm not going back. Not a weight loss trick. Now a way of life.
