Jadyr: fiz um desafio desse binóculo Leitz 8x40 Ba Portugal, com o Nikon Monarch 7 ED; o Leitz deve ser de 1983/84 e o Nikon agora de 2022/2024; linha atual da Nikon! O resultado : mesmo q pese a diferença de idade e de revestimento das lentes, o Leitz não perdeu em brilho e focagem! Talvez a abertura de 5mm proporcione esse bom desempenho ( Nikon 7 8x30 tem abertura de 3,75mm). Mas impressiona que esse Leitz antigo ainda seja páreo para um bino atual com vidro ED e óticas totalmente multirevestidas e com correção de fase !
Hi there, I have a question. I have one similar model and I have a problem where the two fields of view dont seem to align perfectly. I cant find anything on the procedure to fix it in the web. Do you have an advice for me? thank you!
Do this, IF THERE IS OBJECTIVE EXCENTRIC RINGS: 1) unscrew one tube, a very little, and see if the image is good. Do it until find the best image. 2) Look the lens place and mark this collimate position . 3) Screw the tube 4) open the outside ring and return the excentric rings until find the collimate position marked before 5) screw the outside ring 6) Perfect image! Do this, IF NOT 1) unscrew a little the ocular rings 2) change the ocular lens position a little. 3) see if the image is good, if not, repeat 2 step 4) re-screw the ocular ring 5) Perfect image! Return to me !

No. The coating was taken out by the time. Water and neutral detergent cant wash out coatings . What you saw at final is the same what you saw in the begin, the only difference is In the end it was clean. Coating stayed the same

Use the dryer. Heat can loose it.
Be careful with plastic parts
