Hey John - I'm running the 100 next Friday, and having only run the last 50 (a couple of times... a few years ago now) your videos have been great for my virtual recce! They've given me a decent appreciation of the terrain, elevation distance between CPs etc - and you've done it all with a smile on your face. Good luck getting into the ballot next year. Dan
Thanks Dan I appreciate that. Sorry I didn’t finish the whole route mate I’ve been focusing on fell races, should have it done for next year tho. Good luck with the race! 🤘🏻🙂
As ever, a great watch. Four days after this, I was walking a lot of that route in the rain and mud. This weather needs to ease off it’s going to be dry summer right 🙏.!!! Cape Wrath trail hey bet that was fun. It’s next on my long distance walks but work and family hold get in the way. When I retire 🤣
Fingers crossed for a good summer! 🤞🏻you should definitely have the CWT on your bucket list. I’m debating whether to redo it this summer as a personal fastest time attempt or do the Pennine Way.. decisions, decisions.. I only have a 2 weeks off work so that’ll be a factor too ☺️
Glad you’re liking them Paul. Unfortunately the next episode won’t be for a while. I’ve injured myself so it’ll be a couple of weeks. Keep an eye out for it tho 🤘🏻
Excellent video, looked fresh out. That leg has changed a lot since I ran it. I remember feeling good on the Coach Road but reining back as it is good running, but still (relatively) early on! The structure had caught my eye on BGR recces, but I had never seen it in daylight. Excellent work 🙂👍
Another great video John. Well filmed, and a good mix of running and route/scenery. I like the way you never show yourself coming back to the get the camera - so many do and I always think “why show that?”🤷🏻♂️ Great inspiration, s’pose I’d better drag myself out of bed and go for a 7 mile run around Follifoot now 😀
Thanks man glad you like the vids. Trying to improve with each one.. but slow on uploading at the mo but the next one should be done by the end of next week. Go do that 7 miler! You’ll feel better for it 🤘🏻☺️

Really enjoying this series, thanks for sharing. Your mystery structure on Clough Head is an old railway wagon which was used for transporting fruit & vegetables. Used to be loads of them scattered around the countryside, on farms etc.
Cheers Patrick. Yes there’s a few dotted about up there. I’d carry a small pair of binoculars if it wasn’t for the extra weight. Save my legs next time!
lovely vid! Did you have a sarnie today? ;) We've been on that railway track a few times and love it. It's also where they do the Keswick parkrun if you didn't already know that. Looking forward to the next instalment. x
There’s a really nice Cafe at Threlkeld , definitely worth a visit and i believe that structure is known as “The Old Coach” that actually was used on the coach road many years ago, another great video John 🙌
Great video as always. I did wonder if you should be careful what you wish for when you were commenting on the amount of tarmac. Last time I was on the old coach road heading towards St John's in the Vale it was really rough underfoot.
Excellent scenery and video editing as per usual.
Thanks Paula :) 👌🏻

We got a bonus “hoof it” in this one too 😀
Splendud. Well done.

Enjoyed this! Weather looks challenging but stunning, you give off Ex military vibes not sure what it is maybe just the phrases you use 😅🤷♂️
Cheers Evan glad you liked it. Ha some mannerisms stick with you mate ;)
No gloves on that cold day!!!
I did put them on eventually 😂
