I just don't understand how people can be so narrow minded as to not enjoy albums such as heritage. I'm a metalhead until the day I die, but I also love music like this. And I know there's many out there who also think the same way, I guess it just breaks my heart to see people trash talk this stuff without giving it a fair chance, it's truly amazing music
Heritage has so many amazing moments for the drums especially towards the end of the album. Sometimes I wonder if the first few songs turned them off so much they never got into the back half
I admit I didn't dig Newpeth at first - now I ADORE Heritage and Pale Communion (plus I really dig Sorceress and ICV). It took me a while to find a place in my heart and soul, but I eventually came around. The old era was instantaneous, as it was for a lot of folks I guess. Bottom line: Mikael has made magic with every single song he ever composed.

@@fcamiola 100% agree with you man, Pale Communion is my favorite of the new era, and I'd say it's probably a top 5 Opeth album for me
