The ability to get your cavalry to actually select the correct target instead of the nearest is quite a big improvement. I would hope that setting way points will be another addition.
Woah, Seeing a vid launch in real-time is crazy! I’m pumped for this mod! This is the one thing I’ve always wanted in M&B to give me total control during large battles. So Pumped!

And the idea of ordering your troops with perfect positioning and strategy and THEN jumping in with your own characters sounds absolutely perfect. I seriously hope the devs see this and collab with this mod or hire the guy who did it or something because this elevates the game so much

Pro Tip: The Slow-Mo toggle can also be used to SPEED UP combat by up to 3x, which is the same as hitting "Fast Forward" after you get knocked out in un-modded combat and can be freely toggled on or off. All hotkeys are configurable. I don't think I can ever play without this mod anymore.

The only issue I saw was behavior of horse archers - they prioritize circling around the target and might accidentally run into other enemy formations. I would like it if Sparty would showcase the "Dont stop me now" mod for more realistic cav charges.

Mod is nice. The problem with the vanilla system is that we do know what is going on right until the moment when we hit "charge" order. In this very moment our infantry becomes a mob, they break cohesion and order instantly, they chase some dudes who are trying to run away, they turn their backs to the enemy they do everything except for fighting as a united force. The same goes for cavalry, whatever scripts have been assigned to groups either not working or has been disabled. The Majority of losses on the map are the result of bad AI rather than players' decisions. Thanks for sharing.

This seems amazing. The ability to switch in and out of character control vs rts control seems like the best of both worlds. Hopefully the dev's use this as a blueprint for reinstating these features
Command Faction Parties mod. Allows you to control other clans in your faction. For example You can order them to gather an army and besiege a castle. There's a bunch of other things you command them to do. This combined with party ai overhaul mod which allows you to control your companions army in a more direct way. These 2 mods are a must for me
Great mod! Selecting a target should be a feature, im tired of my inf chasing arroung horse archers when most of the enemies inf is still on the field. Really hope the devs notice this as it is something the game should already have!
My biggest bane is the ally AI. The enemy AI seems to be more consistently competent, however 50% of the time I enter battle with an ally the ally AI does the dumbest things ever. The Ally Ai seems to believe that ring formation is the answer to any situation, even though the ally AI dies in seconds every time they attempt it. And they attempt it 50% of the time. This is on an Empire playthrough that I'm speaking of specifically.
All the devs have to do is enable the camera to be raised on a certain height so you can see better and it's already a huge help tactically even without the selective targeting.

Bought this game on the 28th without having seen this, and when I started playing the game I thought: this game is fucking awesome. I just wished it had an option to go into a RTS style mode.
Playing Mount and Blade like total war makes it a bit more like total war like you said but also a bit less like the first person style RPG that i feel like Bannerlord is, which no other game does, (kind of Mount and Blades charm). I really like this mod, it has a lot of nice new features like setting up the troop formations pre battle in RTS view and attacking with your troops on specific enemy formations. But for me personally playing Mount and Blade games is a lot about the RPG elements of your character and being immersed in the battles in another way than RTS games do. You can either be a warrior in the army fighting and commanding it at the same time or you can tell your sergeants to take over command while you just fight, you can also just be a commander standing on a high point trying to take command of the army from a good view. If i wanted to command my army in RTS view then I would just play total war games. Just my opinion though, everyone should play games how they prefer. :)
When you tell horse archers and foot archers to charge...they go into melee which is what was happening in this video. Is there a way to tell them to advance at the enemy which means they stay at ranged distance?
Hello on 4:41 i can see the Blue Marks on the Green little Flags, how can i get those marks? Im unable to set my troops like 100m Forward , cuz i cant see the Green little Markes anymore.
Once the warhammer stuff starts rolling out im gonna mash these two together so i can finally play a Beastmen campaign that is actually... that actually exists.

I used to play total war so I love this style of play. How does this work on Castle and Town Sieges? I still can't get my troops to go up ladders hopefully they will fix that soon. By the way where do you get cool banner designs for your troops?
That's like modding Total War to be able to use a single character to make it more like Mount and Blade. They are 2 different games and shouldn't be intermixed. M&B is all about single combat. Total War is all about battle strategy.

you can do that without the mod, if you drag a formation's flag onto an enemy formation, they will charge that formation.
I actually lost my **** when I seen that I could tell them to engage a target. Such a missed feature and oppertunity by taleworlds.

Just a note, archers will just charge into melee if you tell them to attack an formation, so just position them well and let them fire there arrows
