I am a Flight Nurse (we rotate between helicopter and fixed wing aircraft) and we regularly piss people off at airports because we get priority take off and landing. I have heard our pilots tell other pilots that their cargo wasn't as important as our cargo lol. I get annoyed when I fly for fun because we have to wait 😂
Kennedy Steve is funny. He only did those kinds of funny quips as a Ground Controller. They direct planes from runway to the ramp. When controlling planes in the air that's not allowed. I wish I could listen to him all day!
I think the 747 is still in active passenger service with several airlines. Lufthansa, Air China and Korean afaik were the only airlines to buy the latest 747-8I variants, so their planes would still be pretty young to be decommissioned, most of them probably delivered in the Mid 2010s. Would surprise if they were not in service anymore.
There's still 747s in service for passengers. Lufthansa has the largest fleet with 27, followed by Korean Air with 19. Everyone else is less than 10. Mostly the newest 747-8, with a very select few -400. Anything older than that are either test articles or belong to some air force.
Yeah, since you're in the PA-NY-NJ corridor of the US, go to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a Penguins (AHL, American Hockey League) game, as well! Maybe doen to Allentown, PA for a Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) game, as well.
There are so many failsafe systems in place in the software that air traffic control uses, that mid-air collisions between aircraft is almost impossible.
Pretty sure Lufthansa still flies the 747 into LAX from Frankfurt. They did as of a couple of months ago, although I did see a Lufthansa a380 there yesterday....
Hope since u guys finished the last dance u guys watch the nascar documentary it would be awsome and after this season is over the 2nd season should come out next year😊😊
oh boy, i expect a lot of JFK traffic from this one. The controllers at JFK in NYC have a very busy airspace as all the international travelers visiting new york city land there. Their patience is very thin with pilots who don't follow directions and who don't keep traffic flowing.
They're not. What you're listening to is hobbyists hooking into the VHF frequency and recording it. Depending on where the receiver is, you get what you get.

can you guys do a *Tim Minchin* video. he is an australian composer, comedian he is the bo burnham's idle and mad funny talented guy. there are few songs i like to recommend *Prejudice* , *Lullaby* by *tim Minchin* .
But can’t pilots and ATC speak the their language if they are both from the same country? Like if it’s a pilot from France and the plane is landing in Paris?
@@Sam-pv7bd Pilots and ATC can speak their native language when flying into or out of a nation which speaks that language. A French pilot must speak English landing the US or the UK but may use French in France. I used to fly around Mexico and Mexican pilots used to speak Spanish with ATC in Mexico City and English going to the US or Canada.
@@ESUSAMEX And that is a problem. Not only do the pilots (and more importantly, the controllers) get less practice in their Aviation English, it also means any plane listening in, especially on ground, may miss safety critical messages.
ATC is the most stressful job, retention is terrible. And suicide is high. IF you've ever seen the close calls compilation. Its scary. "CANCEL TAKE OFF" Screaming hoping you didnt just kill 300 people.
In the US, air traffic controllers have to retire at 45. It's too stressful to work past that age. I knew one and he was always stressed even on his days off.

Kennedy Steve from JFK is the atc you two were referring to and the beginning of the video.

There's some 747s that have been modified as aerial tankers to drop fire retardant on forest fires. They can drop several thousand gallons at a time.
I saw this at the end of one of the last videos and was thinking it would be great if you reacted to it, nice!

747 is still flying for Lufthansa, KAL, Asiana, Saudia, Air China and others. And many as freighters.
Reminds me of the guy that used to be a flight control tower in a flight sim
B-747s are still used for freight.

That sound they were making about the rabbit were mimicking Elmer Fudd, if you know Bugs Bunny cartoons. Maybe only Americans get that.
Trust me those cartoons were/are global, they just didn’t laugh.
Watch "Turtles take over JFK" 😂
International aviation language is English for countries all around the world! Roger, Over and Out!

Is there some kind of rule that all kind of traffic control and the like has to use microphones from Dollarstore?

International law that all English must be spoken by all pilots to and from the Tower.

Without looking it up I’d bet a Captains yearly salary at a legacy that American ATCs are not forced to retire at 45.
@@cuateron9595 I misspoke, it's 56 or 25 years from their start. My friend retired at 45 since he put his 25 years in by then.
😂😂😂 OMG
I don’t know how they can understand each other. So much mumbling going on.
The recording equipment is usually a small unit at a distance. The planes and ATC would hear each other much more clearly.
It doesn’t sound like that on their headset, it’s clearer than a phone call most times.
