  • A simple video demonstrating how I play Gran Turismo 7 in VR with a motion rig. Less is more, so you won't see much movement. Wait until the end of the lap when I pull the e-brake to see how violent the rig can get!
    Gear used:
    DOF Reality H3 motion rig
    GT Omega RS6 racing seat
    Fanatec GT DD Pro 8nm with load cell brake, shifter and e-brake
    Bass Transducer under seat powered by 100 watt amplifier
    Sony PS5 with PSVR2
    PC with Windows 10 running Sim Racing Studio and custom GT to SRS proxy for sending telemetry for bass transducer (second audio interface) and H3 controller box for motion

    Great video! Thank you for sharing! I am about to order the H3 to use with GT7. I am going with their MagicBox instead of using proxy PC software.

      I'm glad you enjoyed the video, Mehrdad. Congrats on your order! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. SRS now supports GT7/S natively, but I still prefer using the proxy to avoid that initial jolt when you get in the car. Hopefully, they'll fix it and then I can use SRS without the additional proxy.

    can you feel movement while accelerating and braking? would you be able to increase or decrease motion settings on Sim racing studio for gt7?

    • @chisel316

      Thanks for the comment, Aldrin. I suck at drifting, but I'll see about making a video to show the traction loss. That movement is the coolest feeling for sure! 😀

    • @AldrinHernando

      @chisel316 I think missions is perfect because it's usually just like 2 turns,, and you can retry instantly going in the corners meaning you'll be able to practice again and again instantly so after alot of retrys you will just get the hang of that specific section and most importantly, the assigned car you will use is setup perfectly already in the missions for drifting which I think is most crucial in drifting.

    did you dial down the settings to make less motion? also did you have to buy any additional hardware/software to make this work with the ps5/psvr2?

      never mind. i see someone else asked a similar question about the motion settings and you answered. and i found on their site about magic box. Hi mate how are you getting around gt7s psvr2 built in boundary system (the black screen with the green mesh around the car)
    I dont use a motion simulator and i only have to look the wrong way and it flashes up. Its what is putting me of getting it but it doesn't seem an issue for you

    • @chisel316
      @chisel316  11 месяцев назад +1

      It's not an issue as long as I'm sitting back in the seat. Some vehicles have a smaller boundary than others though.

    • @innewmusicwetrust99
      @innewmusicwetrust99 11 месяцев назад +1

      @chisel316 thanks for the response. I did some tests last night as this baffled me and it appears having a sim rig might actually improve the boundary system as in gt your headset stays flat to your position not the car so for instance when taking a banked curve you head doesn't bank like the curve bringing you closer to the window (where the boundary system is center to the car) a little tilt would bring you more central with the cars position in the game. I belive Gt did is for comfort reasons and fear of motion sickness but in turn basically built in an in game motion compensator

      Thanks, Dr. Rock! I'm running proxy software on the PC that receives telemetry from GT7 and sends it to a program called Sim Racing Studio. That program forwards the data to a control box which is connected to the motors in the seat.
