Its amazing how a few months back you didn't know much about the music scene of Pakistan, then last month you had a map of Pakistan on your wall, now you have what I think is the Coke Studio coffee table book and a Pakistan cap. I won't be surprised if in a few days you would be wearing the Pakistan Cricket Jersey!! You said in the conclusion that this might be the best song you have heard coming out of Pakistan. The more you hear you would say the same for the next song and the next. Also you have just had slight taste of the music scene here. You have only heard coke Studio and basement. Wait till you hear more. Mekaal Hasan band, EP, Call, Overload, Junoon, Faraz Anwar just to name a few.
If you do get a chance to listen to Overload, please do so without wasting a second. Its founder and lead drummer Farhad Humayun just passed away last week. Another creative genius lost. "Cursed" by Overload is a must listen.
Of course this is one of the finest rendition, infact the sufi music and sufi lyrics are very powerful and why not as they are sung in the praise of Almighty.
charakhra is spinning wheel for spinning yarn. so the world is like that spinning wheel, just keeps spinning "ghoom charakhra" and making endless yarn, and the one spinning it and the one making the knots in the yarn, and the noise the spinning wheel makes is in praise of the one who is spinning it.
Hi John, i am facinated by your love of Folk and sufi music of Pakistan. Let me introduce you to another Balochi folk song namely 'Dana Pa Dana'. I guarantee you will luv it.
Maybe i am wrong but when it comes to sufiizm music no 1 can compete with Pakistani singers & musicians. salute to all our legends the proud of our country 🇵🇰❤
Men, I love the music, the performance, I love everything from the music you react about, but the most I love about your videos is the way you react to them, your enthusiasm and the true emotion you reflect in your face, I love it, it's priceless!!... Greetings from Latin America!!
I love how your suggestions are not the obvious songs that most of ppl know in fact of all the suggestions i may have heard one or two before and i came to discover some really great songs. I like how these are interaction sessions and not one sided reaction videos. thanks for your suggestions
1. "Gal Sunn" from coke studio season 2020 2. "Tutteya Ve" from coke studio 2020 3. "Jugni" from coke studio 4. "Larger than Life" from Nescafe Basement 5. "Rabba Ho" from coke studio season 6 6. "Channa" from coke studio season 6 7. "Jana Jogi De Naal" from Coke Studio

I highly recommend you to read the story behind these songs because everyone is about a story or a history that is great. Here they're talking about hazrat Imam hussain A.S and his sacrifice
Dude, i thought i was a big fan of nescafe basement, and here i am not knowing this song even existed (need to catch up- i guess) and just found it on your channel...loved it... Thanks and great reaction videos
Hi, another Nescafe season 4 Tum aik gorakh dhana ho VOCAL OF ZAIN ALI, originally sung by Late Legend Nusrat Fateh Ali, tum aik gorakh dhana ho, means GOD IS A MYSTERY, This song about all prophets and massengers sent by GOD they even went through difficult path to find GOD,yet mystery unsolved TUM AIK GORAKH DHANDA HO, Regards from PAKISTAN
Wow...such a great song and reaction. John please react to RONAY NA DIYA or TERA NAAM by Coke studio. The song has been sung by Sajjad Ali.He's considered the king of POP in Subcontinent. And is being mastered in pop and classical music. He has been singing since childhood .
Look up the original Abida Parveen version - it was what shot her to fame. This one is good, but seems to be a tad forced at times to create the atmosphere and texture that comes so naturally to Ms Parveen.
You like rock. Try 'kitni sadiyan' at nescafe basement. It's a tribute to one of Pakistan's greatest guitarists Faraz Anwar. You will love his guitar solo therein.

Charakhra means human in sindhi Sufi poetry.
Charkha (spinning wheel) in this song refers to the heart. Its a sufi track and charkha spinning is a metaphor for heart beating for god and prophet ﷺ
Its a Sufi song I think.A wonderful composition . Praising Almighty Allah SWT. Thanks fr the nice review.
From Bangladesh.
Must check out the Maestro, Abida Parveen, perform her original piece..
Originally sung by Abida Parveen (Chaap Tilak).
