Are you planning on finishing the walls inside the cabin, what's your idea behind no vapor barrier? Just wondering for future reference when we build one. Yours is the first I've seen with people putting drainage in the plan. Good idea. We are in Michigan for weather here.
For now I'm not planning on finishing the walls or adding insulation. I may paint them, though. We rent it out every weekend between April and November, so I think it's at its sweet spot for the investment. The more I put into it now I will probably see diminishing returns.
You did an amazing job love your work ❤️ I have a couple of questions if you don't mind where did you get the plans and you said you modified them what changes did you make one last thing can you tell me what is the size of your rafters, roof thanks for sharing your work keep it up
Hello! I got the plans from Elevated Spaces dot com. The main differences with mine are a fully sheathed roof (instead of a poly carbonate sky light section like in the plans), and the windows unlike the windowless plans. I think the rafters and joists are all 2x6.
Don’t you want a couple inches of overhang for the windows with the roof so water doesn’t fall directly on the side of the house and the windows seems?
You did a beautiful job. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us! I like the arrangement of the windows.
Thank you! It was fun to see it come together, and I am especially happy with the windows :)
You did a great Job man, really like the way it's turned out and I especially like the minimalist kitchen, just right for that sort of place.
Thank you! The kitchen needed a lot of thought due to the limited space, and because of that it was one of the parts I was most hesitant to tackle
Very nice tiny house the carpenter built so artistic.
You all ready need an addition awsome job😊
Just wow gorgeous

Thanks! I'll be looking for some "beta testers" shortly to fine tune things before officially launching it

very excellent👍
Awesome video, love the build
Thanks man! I appreciate the support!
Nice little cabin ! Is that 10’x12’ ? And what is the height of it ?
Hello! Yep it's roughly 10x12 and about 10.5 ft tall.

yes that would have been great. Currently planning to add something above the doorway to help divert water
What size that is, may be down the years I may try that okay
Roughly 120 sq ft
Cool !

This is actually great feedback. Picking music for a time lapse is so hard, for some reason.
Windows are perfect.
A frames look awesome until you get inside and realize that there's very little usable space.
Seems like there's plenty of usable space for the footprint. Looks cozy.
It's true, but they are easy to build and nice to look at, and can be pretty cozy for short term stays!
