Yo bro you're tutorials are a massive help, thank you. I have a china rom Note 7 pro(MIUI 12.5) that I'm trying to put TWRP on because of Xiaomi's beef with Google, but it keeps jumping out of fast boot mode after completing the CMD process instead of booting into TWRP. What am I doing wrong ?
If you upgrade to latest official China rom it installs stock recovery. Check if your bootloader is still unlocked and enter fastboot mode, from there boot into your custom recovery.
I cannot find the onekey but i found direct install and lead to freeze logo in MIUI then I go back to fastboot mode and redo it again and it works thanks a lot
Where do you copy the sdk platform tools too? Directly into the phone repository? I saw you have a folder called ADB, is that a folder you made yourself just for organization or for a specific reason?

Hey, i have problem with mi11 ultra, i've installed the room but it got small error at the end "failed to mount '/metadata' (invalid argument) at the end system started and it works but i wanted to wipe to factory settings and seems, i can't wipe, can't change file system, can't even view /sdcard data my windows doesn't see phone files at fastboot mode, i've checked debugging usb, botloader is unblocked. Any solution can you help somehow? I also use pin cuz without it there was decrypt problem but pin helps but yeah can't access the storage files to update room or even wipe it.

However i suggest getting a new phone to play around and other to keep everything in the original without the bootloader unlocked, as you know wiping data from bank then creating new codes from letters are just too tiring

Then I've tried using the flash twrp.img command using the cmd as written on the xiaomi.eu website and that seemed to work? But now it's giving me a invalid file format when installing the rom. Did you boot correctly in recovery, not install but boot.

@@SystemHacks By "boot correctly" you mean put the phone in fast boot mode so that it shows the rabbit and the android, yes ?
If you upgrade to latest official China rom it installs stock recovery. Check if your bootloader is still unlocked and enter fastboot mode, from there boot into your custom recovery.

To unlock dual Sim you also will need dual Sim adapter and if your rom is not supported dual Sim, custom rom will 👍

How is the battery consumption in MI 11 compared to the STOCK MIUI ?? My battery Idle drain is worse I'm in stock EEA Rom V12.5.7
Maybe the is slightly improvement but not something big. Difference is almost not noticeable. Just Mi 11 has poor battery life

I read in another forum that this is only mandatory for Mi 11 phones. That may the reason why it's not available within your TWRP version.

Connect it to computer via recovery mode. If not working you can always start from beginning install official firmware with mi flash and repeat steps.

If you mean EEA for EU rom these yes you can switch between global and EEA. But if you want to switch from global to xiaomi.eu then you can't.

Depends if your device and firmware you want to install. If it's firmware for recovery installation then you need TWRP.

I've tried two or three different rom versions and even unzipped and zipped it again, but nothing like that has worked yet
Probably your recovery can't decrypt the phone. Follow instructions carefully and find better recovery.

Enter recovery manually and be sure you installed correct recovery.
