Can’t confirm but I’ve heard rumblings that they started stamping the sleeves on GrabBag Bars to prevent resellers from switching out the end caps and selling them as new Named bars.
Could be, although I haven't seen everyone who got them have these

Unfortunately, I've already seen people this week on Facebook Market Place listing the grab bag bars as new condition, without including grab bag in the title. One listing was titled 29mm Rogue Ohio Power Bar Stainless Steel, brand new. The bar clearly showed pictures of the missing end caps. Also, knowing that it was a grab bag bar, it may not have been stainless steel. Stainless steel looks a lot like bare steel. If it really is stainless that seller had some amazing luck. 👏
Haha yeah I've seen that too. I see a lot of people buy multiple bars to resell :( I'm going to likely sell mine but will put it's a grab bag and only ask for how much it cost me.

They had 25mm bars, too! I was close to grabbing one but just went w/ one of the 28mm ones, too. Feels like the highest upside. (It gets to me tomorrow, v excited for something weird.)

Ah not a weird one! Seems like bare steel, no center knurl and Oly rings. Sleeves look like black oxide and spin *insanely* well for bushings. (There's also an "R" stamped on the inside, not sure if that's a thing for most of their sleeves.)
No signs of use otherwise.
I missed the grab bag didn't see your RUclips post till it was too late... I would have opted for a WL bar too as it was the only type missing from my stall of bars... recently missed a stainless cerakote WL boneyard (literally disappeared from inventory after it was placed in the cart)... I instead Frankensteined two bone yard bars to have a stainless on stainless 28.5 Ohio now... Selling the raw shaft with zinc sleeves when all is said and done hopefully I would have spent $335ish all in to get a boneyard version of a $520ish bar (all in) ..

I've gotten 3 grab bags, all have been in phenominal shape. Can't go wrong with them really.

Franken-Bar, what an interesting grab. Seems odd to par the good Oly shaft with powerlifting sleeves. I'd probably reserve the bar for benching and deads. How are you planning on using it?
TBH I'm prob just going to sell it for what it cost. I have like 28 bars right now and need to slim down. Was just worth the risk to try to get a $600 bar lol.

Looks like an early 2000 Eleiko WL bar, wonder if this is a prototype they abandoned? Those bars are great, I prefer them to the new ones. Or maybe they put the wrong sleeves on the shaft? Power on the ends, finesse in the middle? 😂

UPS just dropped off my bar. I ordered a 29mm grabby and I got a black zinc/zinc 29mm with Ohio knurling… super weird

Unrelated to the vid, where are your headbands from?
I have some from HVIII brand goods which are very similar to the Junk brand ones.
What are you using to hook your chains on your bar? Seems like it does a better job of getting all the chain on the floor at the bottom; this is something I have not dialed in yet.
It's the Spud Inc Loop strap (or something like that). It's nice b/c it has loops in all different spots vs having to adjust the smaller chains.
How did you get the grab bag bar. I have tried twice to get a 29mm and it is sold out before I can finish shopping.
The 29 and 28.5 went fast, I follow a lot of accounts on IG that share when they're up so I was lucky enough to see it relatively early in the process.
What end caps come with grab bag bars?
Usually they just grab whatever and flip them around. Mine had on C-70 and a womens B&R cap. I posted them on IG.

It's really luck of the draw. I follow a few fitness accounts that will post it when they hear of it.

Random times from what I can tell.
I'm a noob. What's the difference between a weightlifting barbell and a power bar? Is it the whip?
Weightlifting bars are generally 28 mm shaft with more whip, come with or without center knurl, and have iwf knurl marks to help position the hands in the snatch. Power bars generally have 29 mm (though Texas Power Bar is 28.5) shafts with less whip, pretty much always have a center knurl, and have ipf knurl marks to show maximum legal bench grip width for competition. Multi-purpose bars are generally 28.5 mm shafts (though they also come in 28 or 29), can come with or without center knurl, and have both iwf and ipf knurl marks.
Power bars are 20 kg
Weightlifting bars are 20 kg for men and 15 kg for women
Multi-purpose bars are usually 20 kg, but some will have a 15 kg women's version

Yep! It just spins and spins. It maybe a games used or event used because the sleeves have some areas where you can tell plates have Been slide off and on, but the shaft looks like new.
But that’s a $600 bar for 200!

From what I can tell it weighs slightly less than 20kg.
I wish we'd get those on the EU website, but unfortunately #rogue thinks we are 2nd class customers 🤷🏻♂️
I think they probably just don't want to pay to ship damaged equipment there when they're not making much money on these. But I do feel for you!
My 29mm grab bag barbell is by far my favorite bar... so glad I got it!
(Note: I have multiple SS Ohio Bars and a variety of speciality bars and it is still my favorite! ;)
